The Palestinian Center for Human Rights warned of the continuous Israeli navy attacks against Palestinian fishermen in the sea of Gaza.
The Center denounced in a statement on Tuesday, the continuous attacks targeting Palestinian fishermen, calling on the international community to intervene to protect them and ensure their right to practice their profession, and stop all forms of collective punishment against them which are "contrary to the rules of international humanitarian law and International Human Rights Law."
The Center mentioned the attacks being systematically practiced against the fishermen, which resulted in the arrest of a number of them and confiscation and destruction of their boats.
It underlined that these assaults on Palestinian fishermen whether by shooting on them, arresting or damaging their equipment have become a daily policy of the Israeli occupation navy.
These attacks are added to a series of violations by the Israeli occupation forces of the Egyptian-brokered truce agreement between the Palestinian resistance and the IOF in August 2014.

Israeli navy ships attacked, on Tuesday morning, several Palestinian fishing boats, kidnapped two fishers, and confiscated their boat, before towing it to the Ashdod Port.
The Palestinian Fishers Syndicate said the two kidnapped fishers have been identified as Samer Zayed and his brother Ibrahim.
In related news, the army released eight fishers, who were among ten fishers kidnapped in Gaza territorial waters, northwest of Gaza city, on Sunday. The two other fishers remained held by Israel.
There are approximately 3500 fishers in the Gaza Strip; they own around 700 boats, and provide income to more than 70.000 Palestinians.
The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) issued a statistical report, just a few days ago, documenting 47 Israeli attacks against the Palestinian fishers since the beginning of this year.
The attacks included 24 incidents of live navy fire against the fishers, leading to the injury of five of them, and the abduction of 35 others, in addition to the confiscation of nine boats.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday evening arrested two Palestinian citizens as they were trying to infiltrate from the Gaza Strip into the 1948 occupied territory.
Local sources told Quds Press that Israeli troops moved from a border post east of al-Bureij refugee camp and rounded up two Palestinians near the security fence.
They added that the soldiers forced the two men to take off their clothes at gunpoint before taking them to an undeclared place inside the 1948 occupied territories.
Later, Hebrew media outlets reported that two young men were arrested in the area and taken to a Shin Bet interrogation center.
In another incident, the Israeli occupation navy kidnapped on the same day two fishermen off the northern coast of Gaza before releasing them.
Chief of the fishermen syndicate Nizar Ayyash told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli gunboats chased two brothers on a small rowboat and opened fire near them.
Ayyash added that the navy troops confiscated the fishing boat and detained the brothers for a while before releasing them. The fishermen, identified as Karim and Kayed Kallab, were working within the permitted fishing zone, he noted.

Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinian farmers on Saturday morning northeast of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Witnesses told Ma’an Israeli forces stationed in military watchtowers around Kisofim, near the border area between the besieged enclave and Israel, opened fire on Palestinians tending farmland in the area. No injuries were reported.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an they were looking into reports.
Israeli military forces routinely open-fire on Palestinian farmers in the Gaza Strip near the “buffer zone,” which lies on the border between the besieged enclave and Israel, despite a ceasefire agreement that ended the 2014 war.
Due to the high frequency of the attacks, live fire often goes unreported.
While Israel typically cites security concerns when targeting Palestinian agricultural areas, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights has reported in the past that Palestinians are often targeted when they pose no threat.
Approximately 35 percent of Palestinian agricultural land in Gaza is inaccessible without high personal risk, according to the center.

Medical sources reported Friday that Israeli soldiers shot and injured three Palestinian with live fire, during a protest march east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.
The sources said the soldiers shot three Palestinians with live fire. The three were moved to the Al-Aqsa Hospital, suffering moderate wounds.
The soldiers also fired dozens of gas bombs, causing scores of residents to suffer from severe effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Palestinians were holding a protest march in their land, located near the border fence, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, when the soldiers started firing at them, leading to clashes.
The march was meant to commemorate the Naqba, in 1948, in which 750.000 Palestinians were displaced for the creation of the state of Israel on their land. Many of those displaced became refugees in Gaza, where they and their descendants remain today.
After the soldiers began firing at the marchers, local youth hurled stones at the soldiers, across the border fence, while the army fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades.
Live bullet injury reported in Gaza border protests
A Palestinian young man was shot and injured as Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at a group of youths who gather every Friday near Gaza borders to show solidarity with Jerusalem Intifada.
The young man was taken to al-Aqsa Hospital for treatment as he was hit with a live bullet in his foot. Dozens of Gazans were killed and injured since the outbreak of Jerusalem Intifada on October 1, 2015.
This week’s demonstration came as millions of Palestinians and rights activists commemorate the Palestinian Nakba (catastrophe), when some 700,000 Palestinians were expelled from their lands in 1948 at gunpoint by Zionist gangs and remain scattered across refugee camps in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq.
Nearly 531 Palestinian towns and cities were destroyed during the Nakba while 15,000 Palestinians were killed at the hands of Zionist gangs to pave the way for the establishment of Israel.

Some 8,500 families in the Gaza Strip are to receive assistance to reconstruct homes damaged or destroyed by Israel’s devastating assault on the besieged coastal enclave in 2014, according to UNRWA -- the UN Agency responsible for providing assistance to Palestinian refugees.
The $9.5 million relief fund is part of Germany’s contribution to UNRWA’s disbursement plan toward rebuilding shelters in the Gaza Strip, nearly two years after the war, from which up to 75,000 Palestinians remain homeless.
In press release published by Tuesday, UNRWA said the funds will begin disbursement to the eligible families with a week.
Germany has provided a total of $65.4 million toward the reconstruction effort and $91.7 million overall to UNRWA in 2015, the press release added.
Last week, in what was seen as an unusual escalation of violence since a ceasefire was brokered between Israel and Hamas in 2014, an Israeli air assault targeting the southern Gaza Strip for four consecutive days killed one Palestinian women and wounded several others.
The Gaza Strip has seen three wars with Israel since 2008, with Israel's 2014 offensive destroying 12,600 homes, and leaving another 6,500 severely damaged and 150,000 housing units uninhabitable.
Reconstruction efforts have been painfully slow -- hindered by Israel's blockade, ongoing disputes with the Fatah-dominated Palestinian Authority, and a severe shortage of foreign assistance.
UNRWA has played a leading role in rebuilding destroyed homes in the beleaguered coastal enclave, but said in April that of the $720 million required for its emergency shelter program, donor countries had pledged only $247 million.
The UN warned in September last year that if current trends were to continue unchanged in Gaza, the territory would be uninhabitable by 2020.

Israeli warplanes launched a series of mock raids on different areas of the Gaza Strip on Monday morning.
The PIC reporter quoted locals as saying that they heard loud explosions in different areas of the Strip, which later turned out to be the result of Israeli F-16s breaking the sound barrier.
The mock raids constitute part of the psychological warfare waged by the Israeli occupation forces against the Gaza Strip after calm was restored recently to the eastern borders of the enclave following three days of intermittent clashes.
