Head of the Palestinian fishermen syndicate in Gaza, Nizar Ayyash, warned of Israeli prohibition of fishing in Gaza sea in light of the increasing incitement against Gazan fishermen.
The military correspondent of the Israeli newspaper Maariv said that Hamas’s frogmen are developing their potentials and are capable of accessing, in large numbers, farther zones such as Ashkelon gas fields.
Ayyash told Quds Press that the Israeli statements reflect a dangerous development especially that the gas fields are 35 sea miles far from Gaza border, while Palestinian fishermen are allowed to sail within six nautical miles only.
On August 26, 2014, Israel and the Palestinian resistance signed the Cairo-brokered truce accord stipulating for allowing Gazan fishermen to sail as far as 6 nautical miles in Gaza sea and to be later on gradually increased to 12 nautical miles.

A 16-year-old Palestinian boy was hit and injured by Israeli bullet fire in the blockaded Gaza Strip on early Sunday morning.
Spokesperson for the Palestinian Health Ministry, Ashraf al-Qudra, said a Palestinian minor sustained bullet wounds in his hands after he was shot by the Israeli occupation soldiers stationed to the east of Gaza City.
The casualty was rushed to a local hospital to be urgently treated for the inflicted wounds. Earlier on Saturday, an Israeli raid on a Palestinian civilian home in northern Gaza Strip took away the lives of two Palestinian children, Yassin and Israa Abu Khousa.
A striking surge has been documented recently in the Israeli attacks and raids on Palestinian children, farmers, fishermen, and civilians living in the besieged coastal enclave of Gaza.

Israeli naval boats, Saturday, targeted Palestinian fishermen’s boats with several missiles, despite sailing within the unilaterally-designated allowed fishing zone offshore, to the northwest of Gaza City.
WAFA correspondence said that soldiers fired at least six missiles at Palestinian fishermen’s boats, despite sailing within the six-nautical-mile allowed fishing zone. The current six-nautical-mile fishing zone falls drastically short of the twenty nautical miles allocated to Palestinian fishermen in the 1993 Oslo Accords.
The attack caused severe damages to three boats, whereas no injuries were reported among fishermen who were forced to leave the sea, for fear of being injured, killed, or detained.
The Israeli navy targets Gaza fishermen and farmers along the borderline on an almost daily basis, in a blatant breach of a ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and armed Palestinian groups in August of 2014, following 51 days of bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of over 2.200 Palestinians, most of whom were civilians.
According to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), all Israeli attacks on Palestinian fishermen have taken place within the distance of six nautical miles, which it said “proves that Israeli forces' policies aim to tighten restrictions on the Gaza Strip's fishermen and their livelihoods.”
Israel has imposed a tightened blockade since 2007 after Hamas won the democratic legislative election and took over power in the Strip.

Israa Abu Khusa 6
A six-year-old Palestinian girl on Saturday succumbed to wounds sustained earlier in the day when her home was hit during Israeli airstrikes in the northern Gaza Strip.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra confirmed that Israa Abu Khussa had died due to critical injuries. Her death came hours after her 10-year-old brother,Yasin, was killed in the strike and buried in the al-Salatin cemetery.
The Israeli air force had reportedly targeted four Hamas sites in the northern Gaza Strip early Saturday after four rockets were fired from the besieged enclave the evening before.
A Ma’an reporter based in Gaza said the children were in their house at the time of the airstrike, located in northwestern Beit Lahiya, adding that the family was still living in their home that was partially destroyed during the most recent Israeli offensive on the strip in 2014.
The Israeli army said the rockets fired from Gaza had landed in open areas in southern Israel, without reporting damage or injuries.
Head Israeli army spokesman Peter Lerner called the rocket attack an “example of extremist incessant efforts to threaten the security and safety of the people of southern Israel.”
Lerner, citing a total of seven rockets fired from the blockaded Palestinian territory since the start of the year, said the military would “continue to protect against those who threaten innocent lives and Israel’s sovereignty.”
Over 190 Palestinians and 30 Israelis have been killed since violence increased in the occupied Palestinian territory and Israel in October, nearly 30 of whom were killed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip.
A two-year-old Palestinian and her pregnant mother were killed in October when an Israeli airstrike caused their home to collapse in southern Gaza City, a five-year-old was killed by unexploded ordnance last month, and a number of others were shot dead during demonstrations near the border.
Several rockets were fired from the blockaded coastal territory into southern Israel last year, with the Israeli military launching retaliatory airstrikes in nearly every case.
Although much of last years' rocket fire was claimed by small militant groups operating in Gaza, Israel consistently holds the territory's de facto leaders Hamas responsible, and generally targets the group's military infrastructure in response.

Yasin Abu Khusa 10
One child was killed and two others suffered moderate to serious injuries during a wave of Israeli airstrikes at dawn Saturday on different targets in the besieged Gaza Strip.
An Israeli air raid on Palestine site in Beit Lahiya district, north of Gaza, claimed the life of 10-year-old Yasin Abu Khusa and caused a serious injury to his six-year-old sister, Israa, and moderate face injuries to his 12-year-old brother, Ayoub, according to a spokesman for the health ministry in the Strip.
Israa was transferred from the Indonesian hospital to al-Shifa Medical Center due to the seriousness of her head injury.
Eyewitnesses said the children of Abu Khusa were in their house when an Israeli warplane bombed a resistance site at dawn in Beit Lahiya. Local sources affirmed that Israeli warplanes bombed the training sites of Askalan and Palestine, which belong to al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, in Beit Lahiya.
Airstrikes also targeted the training site of Abu Jarad in central Gaza and a vacant plot of land on al-Surani Mount, east of Gaza City.
The Israeli occupation army claimed on Friday evening that three rockets were fired from Gaza at Sderot city, without causing casualties.

Israeli security reported that rockets launched from the Gaza Strip fell near the Israeli city of Sderot on Friday evening.
Israeli army spokesman Peter Lerner reported on social media that sirens were sounding in towns in the Negev desert.
At least three rockets landed near Sderot. The Israeli army said the rockets caused no injuries or material damage.
Israeli authorities hold Gaza's de facto leaders Hamas responsible for all attacks against Israeli targets coming from the Gaza Strip.
However, Hamas has not claimed responsibility for any rocket attacks since Israel’s devastating war in Gaza in 2014, and the movement has attempted to clamp down on armed activity by smaller political groups in the territory.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire towards Palestinian agricultural lands east of Deir al-Balah in Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning, forcing local farmers to leave their agricultural lands.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that farmers and shepherds were forced to leave their fields after Israeli forces stationed at the borderline opened heavy fire at them.
Late Tuesday, IOF soldiers opened random and heavy fire towards Palestinian border areas east of Maghazi refugee camp.
Palestinian farmers whose land lies within or close to an Israeli-enforced buffer zone along the border with Gaza face near-daily fire or threat of fire from Israeli forces, often preventing them from cultivating their crops, according to documentation by rights groups.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs last month reported at least 42 cases of Israeli forces opening fire on Palestinians in the buffer zone, on both land and sea sides.

An Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) agent was killed on Tuesday during an operation in Gaza, Israeli sources reported on early Wednesday morning.
Israel’s Channel Two said the occupation army approved broadcasting the piece of news, adding that the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death are being investigated.
Among the possibilities being checked is whether an Israeli occupation soldier made a mistake in identifying the man as he stood near Gaza’s border fence, and wrongly took him for a Palestinian.
No more details have been cleared for publication by Israeli media outlets.
An observer said the incident is a proof that occupation soldiers are not recruited on the basis of their defensive capacities rather on how far they are ready for bloodshed and arbitrary murders. “This is no wonder in fact.
For an Israeli colonizer, the human being is no more than a number in a pile of preys that have to be chased no matter the means and costs,” she added.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) confiscated on Sunday fishing equipment belonging to one of the Palestinian fishermen after being targeted by Israeli gunboats in Gaza sea.
Quds Press quoted one of the Gazan fishermen, Ahmad al-Bardawil, as saying that an Israeli gunboat opened its machinegunfire at the fishermen while fishing in Rafah sea in the southern Gaza Strip.
The heavy shooting forced the fishermen to end fishing and leave sea, he added.
“After the shooting had stopped, we returned back to our fishing boats and did not find the fishing nets and some other equipment; the rest of fishing stuff were spoiled as well", Bardawil said.
He stressed that they have been repeatedly targeted by Israeli forces despite sailing in the allowed fishing zone of 6 nautical miles. In the same context, Gazan fishing boats which were sailing in the northern Gaza sea were exposed to shooting by Israeli gunboats on Sunday. No casualties have been reported, according to Palestinian sources.
The attack is another episode in the series of Israeli violations of the Cairo-brokered truce accord signed on August 26, 2014 in the wake of the Israeli aggression on the besieged coastal enclave, which killed over 2,300 Palestinians, mostly civilians.

The Israeli military, Saturday, targeted with gunfire a group of Palestinian farmers as they attempted to enter their agricultural land situated along the borderline area of al-Zaytoun neighborhood, to the southeast of Gaza City.
WAFA correspondence reported that soldiers manning military watchtowers along the Israel−Gaza security barrier -- a border barrier first constructed by Israel in 1994 between the Gaza Strip and Israel -- fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at farmers, and prevented them from entering their land. No injuries were reported.
Israel continues to breach a truce agreement reached between them and armed Palestinian groups in August 2014, ending a 51 day of military aggression on the Strip.
