Massacre carried out by the Palmach forces.
The operation, a campaign known as Danny, took place to quell the Arab revolt in July 1948 against the Israeli occupation. It has been instructed to shoot anyone seen on the street, and the Palmach soldiers opened fire with heavy guns on all pedestrians, and brutally suppressed the rebellion within a few hours, and began moving from house to house, shooting at any moving target.
Some 250 Arabs were killed as a result.
