Mohammed al-Hindi, a member of the political bureau of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, excluded the possibility that the Israeli occupation will wage a new war on the Gaza Strip during the current stage.
Al-Hindi said, in a speech he delivered during a political forum organized by the Islamic Jihad movement in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip on Thursday evening, that the recent aggression was one of the rounds of the conflict against the occupation and that it was neither the first nor the last round.
He called for resorting to the option of resistance, because it "has proved, over the years of the conflict, that it is the most effective in deterring the occupation and halting its continuous aggressions against the Palestinian people."
Al-Hindi also called for escalating the solidarity steps with the hunger striking prisoners in the Israeli jails, stressing that the occupation has repeatedly failed to weaken their will during the battle of dignity.

A human rights organization confirmed that the Israeli naval forces wounded and arrested, since the truce a month ago, 34 Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Sea, destroying and confiscating ten fishing boats.
The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) said in a statement that the Israeli marines opened fire on Monday morning towards a Palestinian fishing boat in the waters of the Sea of Gaza, wounding and arresting the two fishermen who were on the boat and confiscated their boat to the port of Ashdod.
The occupation forces transferred the injured fisherman to hospital and released the other at a late hour of the same day, after interrogating him.
The center said that it monitors the developments that have taken place in the waters of the Gaza Sea, since the declaration of the truce between Palestinian resistance and the occupation under Egyptian and international auspices.
A number of Palestinian fishermen told PIC that they were fishing in the sea at a distance of six nautical miles, where the Israeli gunboats were so close to them despite the Israeli decision to allow Palestinian fishermen to fish and sail six nautical miles off the Gaza coast.
PCHR strongly condemned the continuing Israeli violations against Palestinian fishermen in the sea of the Gaza Strip, including the use of excessive force against the fishermen.
The center called on the international community, including the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, related to the protection of civilians in time of war, to intervene in order to stop all the Israeli violations against Palestinian fishermen immediately, and allow them to fish freely in the strip's water.
The human rights center also called to stop the Israeli prosecution policy against Palestinian fishermen, and to let them sail and fish freely.

Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that two Palestinians were shot and injured, on Friday evening, by Israeli military fire close to the Israeli “security fence” east of Khan Younis, and Jabalia, in the coastal region.
Eyewitnesses said that a 19-year-old youth was shot in the foot, east of Jabalia in northern Gaza, when Israeli soldiers, based across the border, opened fire at farmers working in the lands close to the border.
The wounded youth was moved to a local hospital suffering moderate injuries, the Palestine News Network (PNN) reported.
Another youth, 21, suffered mild-to-moderate injuries after being shot by Israeli soldiers stationed across the border with Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, and was moved to Nasser Hospital in the city, the PNN added.
The latest assaults are part of ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect November 21 ending eight days of Israeli war that led to the death of 172 Palestinians, while hundreds have been injured. Most of the casualties were civilians, including children.
The Israeli Navy also continued its violations against Palestinian fishermen, continued to open fire at them and to prevent them from fishing in Palestinian waters, and kidnapped dozens of them.

International Solidarity Movement (ISM) said in a press release that on Wednesday 12th December, Israeli forces fired live ammunition and tear gas at unarmed farmers and international solidarity activists working in Khuza'a, a small village outside of Khan Younis located near the Israeli border.
At 10:30 AM, the farmers arrived and began to plough approximately 100 meters from the separation fence while internationals lined up in between the border and the farmers. They were quickly met by an Israeli military jeep and transport vehicle. An Israeli soldier issued a warning in Arabic to leave the area and then fired two rounds into the air. The farmers and internationals remained calm and continued their work and the Israeli soldiers left the area.
At around 11 AM, approximately 20 Palestinians and farmers gathered around 300meters back from the fence. Two military jeeps returned to the area. One soldier exited his vehicle and fired four shots in the direction of the farmers and activists. The fourth shot crossed the line of the activists and landed in the field being ploughed. Again, the Palestinians and internationals were not deterred. The Israeli jeeps left and the farmers finished working on this section of land and moved on to an adjacent plot.
Fifteen minutes later, two Israeli jeeps returned, one equipped with an automatic machine gun. A soldier fired three canisters of tear gas directly in front of the activists. He proceeded to shoot at the tractor, damaging its engine and bringing the work to a halt. An international was accompanying the driver aboard the tractor. The accompaniment team included participants from Spain, Italy, France, England, Scotland, Germany and the United States
Gazan farmers successfully ploughed and sowed wheat in adjacent plots, with the presence of internationals, during the two days prior to the incident. Though they were issued warnings by Israeli forces to stay 100 meters from the fence, they were not fired upon in a similar fashion.
"This incident is a prime example of the military harassment and unpredictability of the Israeli occupation forces that farmers routinely face while working their land in Gaza," said a solidarity activist from Spain. For a report from the previous days farming, see here.
Residents from Khuza'a said they have not planted in this area, declared a closed military zone by Israel, for the past thirteen years. Formerly an orchard, Israeli forces bulldozed the field multiple times during military incursions and regularly shoots at farmers who attempt to work there.
Farmers were under the impression that this area was now accessible after the November 21st ceasefire's stipulations that Israeli forces would "refrain from targeting residents in the border areas" and to "stop all hostilities in the Gaza Strip land, sea and air including incursions and targeting of individuals." This is the optimum season for planting wheat and the Gazan farmers only have a small window of time in which to work before the land will be rendered unusable.

Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister in Gaza strip, Ziad al-Zaza revealed that the Egyptian side intends to demand the Israeli occupation to stop breaching the truce, stressing that the situation on the field bears no more tension.
The Deputy Prime Minister also confirmed that the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip has already started after strenuous efforts made by the government to alleviate the continuous suffering of the citizens due to the repeated aggression.
He noted that the reconstruction works have started with the repair of the moderately and slightly damaged houses and that the repair of the bridge of Wadi Gaza has been launched and will be completed in a short period of time.
Zaza said that the occupation used in its recent aggression all its destructive power in order to frustrate the Palestinian people, but it was not able to hold out against the resistance and the people's will.
