The Ministry of Education in Gaza has announced that 6 school students were killed and 15 schools were damaged in the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The ministry said in a press statement that the martyrs are: Ismail Abdulal, Mohammed Atyya, Amir Ayyad, Muhannad al-Sawarka, Muath al-Sawarka and Wasim al-Sawarka.
It added that 15 schools were partially damaged by nearby airstrikes in different Gaza Strip areas.
The ministry pointed out that hundreds of school students have suffered from panic and trauma as a result of the shelling that targeted homes and civilians.
It called for international human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities toward the Palestinian civilians in Gaza and for holding the Israeli occupation leaders responsible before international courts for their crimes against humanity.
IDF: Striking “Terror” Targets
Israel’s army said early Friday it had launched fresh strikes against Islamic Jihad targets in Gaza, despite a ceasefire in place since Thursday morning.
“The IDF (Israeli Defence Force) is currently striking Islamic Jihad terror targets in the Gaza strip,” the army said in a WhatsApp message to reporters, The New Arab (Al-Araby) reported.
Israel typically does not publicly acknowledge deals with militant groups, and on Thursday officials said the only unwritten agreement was that Israel would hold fire so long as Islamic Jihad did.
Israel’s military spokesmen listed a series of accomplishments after the two-day spasm of violence, including the killing of some 25 militants in targeted strikes.
The ceasefire had been agreed between Israel and Palestinian militants after two days of fighting in Gaza saw thirty-four Palestinians killed in exchanges of fire.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said the policy had “proved itself” and would continue.
“Everyone who was a top military official, who was set to carry out, and was involved in terror or rocket firing against Israel was eliminated,” he told Israeli Army Radio. “And we intend to continue with this.”
Critics of Israel’s contentious policy say it amounts to extrajudicial killings that endanger civilians.

The frail ceasefire declared in Gaza yesterday morning between Israel and the Islamic Jihad was relatively holding except for periodic interruptions of rockets fired from Gaza into Israel and Israeli airstrikes on Gaza in the evening and early this morning without causing any human casualties, according to reports.
Several rockets were fired into Israel in the evening last night prompting a new round of Israeli airstrikes on several locations in the Gaza Strip causing damage but no serious injuries.
Reports said the airstrikes were concentrated on the south of the Gaza Strip, mainly Khan Younis and Rafah.
A total of 34 Palestinians, including eight children and three women, were killed and more than 100 were injured in three days of Israeli airstrikes that ended with a ceasefire that went into effect early yesterday morning.
The new round of violence in Gaza started after Israel assassinated a top Islamic Jihad leader in Gaza. Gaza factions retaliated with a barrage of rocket fire into Israel that did not leave any injuries.
Life was gradually getting back to normal in Gaza following the ceasefire with schools and work called to resume on Saturday.

Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Malki, strongly criticized a statement by Nickolay Mladenov, on Israel’s latest aggression against Gaza, accusing him of covering up the Israeli occupation crimes by blaming the Palestinian people for these crimes.
In a press statement, Malki condemned the language used by Mladenov, the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, in his statement Wednesday, in which he ignored the field execution and premeditated and extrajudicial killing of Palestinian families, some of whom were completely annihilated, he Palestinian News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported.
“Mladenov’s statement misleads the international public opinion and the United Nations and its honorable mission to uphold and respect international law by describing the situation as an issue of escalation between a Palestinian faction, or an issue of indiscriminate launching of rockets and mortars, as he put it, to ‘undermine the efforts to improve the dire socio-economic conditions’ in Gaza, ignoring the occupation and its continuous systematic and broad crimes against our people, and also ignoring the reports issued by the United Nations committees investigating the crimes that undoubtedly prove the crimes of the occupation against our people,” Malki asserted.
He called on Mladenov to abide by his mandate as a representative of the United Nations, and “stop issuing such misleading statements that are contrary to the positions, reports and resolutions of the United Nations.”

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Malki, Wednesday, called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to hold Israel accountable for its latest attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip, The Palestinian News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported.
Speaking at the 12th annual International Forum MEDays, running in the Moroccan town of Tangier, Malki emphasized the need for the international community to hold the Israeli forces accountable for the repercussions of the latest escalation against the Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, and to bring it to justice at the ICC.
The Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Israeli army killing of eight members of the Abu Malhous family, including women and children, in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip Thursday morning. An airstrike at the Abu Malhous house destroyed the house, and killed the entire family.
Malki said the conference coincides with the latest Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip, which resulted so far in three days of aggression in the death of 34 people and more than 113 wounded, mostly women and children.
The Foreign Minister pointed out that the silence and inaction of the international community against the Israeli escalation in Gaza, makes it indirectly responsible for its repercussions.
He called on the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian people and to ensure their right in establishing their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Iron Dome brings down rockets over Sderot on Thursday night
Iron Dome intercepts rockets over Sderot in fresh truce violation; schools to stay closed in Ashkelon, Sderot and Gaza border areas Friday; Gazans call for fresh rocket fire as Islamic Jihad spokesman says fighters still have 'fingers on trigger'
The residents of southern Israel braced for another night of rocket fire Thursday, after rockets fired from Gaza kept coming in violation of the ceasefire that came into effect in the early hours of the morning.
Sirens sounded in Sderot and the Gaza border community of Shaar HaNegev at around 10pm. The Iron Dome missile defense system brought down two rockets over Sderot.
Fearing such truce breaches, Sderot municipality and local councils in the Gaza border area decided Thursday evening that local schools will remain closed Friday, despite a directive from the IDF Home Front Command to return to normal following the ceasefire with Islamic Jihad.
The city of Ashkelon said late Thursday that its schools would also remain closed Friday due to the ongoing rocket fire.
Meanwhile, demonstrations against the ceasefire took place in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday evening.
The Gaza border communities have come under several rocket barrages after the ceasefire went into effect at 5:30am Thursday.
"Following the rocket sirens in the area, the forum of the heads of the Gaza border councils decided that tomorrow (Friday) there will be no studies at any educational institutions in the councils surrounding Gaza," the heads of the local authorities said in a joint statement.
"We are in contact with the IDF and are monitoring developments," the statement said, adding that, "The decision was made out of concern for students and educational staff."
The decision was met however with outrage from some local residents.
"It's the wrong decision that impacts adversely on our resilience, it's a surrender to terrorism," they said.
In northerm Gaza, protesters took to the streets following a spontaneous social media drive to call for continued rocket strikes on Israeli population centers.
Abu Hamza, the spokesman for the Islamic Jihad military wing, said Thursday evening: "Our fighters in all military units still have their fingers on the trigger and are functioning in an integrated military system. They are at the disposal of the organization's leadership."
The fragile ceasefire has been violated by Gaza militants several times since it came into effect. At 5:23pm, sirens were heard in the regional councils Sdeot Negev, Eshkol and Shaar HaNegev. Iron Dome intercepted one rocket, and there were no injuries or damage reported.
At 10:54 am, five rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip at Israeli communities bordering the Strip. Iron Dome intercepted two of them.
In this case, too, there were no injuries or damage.
Between 6am and 7am, several more rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into the Gaza-area communities, also without causing casualties or damage.
After a situation assessment, the IDF Southern Command and the Home Front Command decided Thursday afternoon to remove all the restrictions on the Gaza border area, such as limits to public gatherings.
The army also decided to return to regular routine at the Erez and Kerem Shalom crossings into Gaza and restore the fishing zone for Palestinians to 15 nautical miles off the Gaza coast.
The violence began early Tuesday, with a predawn Israeli strike in Gaza that killed Islamic Jihad commander Baha Abu al-Ata. The organization vowed revenge and while Hamas expressed its solidarity, by Wednesday night it had yet to engage in the fighting.
The rocket attacks on Israel followed soon after Abu al-Ata's killing, and on Tuesday the south and large parts of the center of the country came close to a standstill as schools were closed and all non-essential workers were told to stay home or near a bomb shelter.
Rockets were intercepted by Iron Dome as far north as Tel Aviv, with attacks also targeting nearby cities of Holon and Rishon Lezion.
The army said Thursday that the missile defense system had had a 93% success rate.

Palestinian Health Minister, Dr. Mai al-Kaila, has reported that one-third of the Palestinians, who were killed by Israeli missiles and shells in the three-day offensive on Gaza, are women and children.
In a press release, Thursday, Dr. al-Kaila stated that the Israeli army killed 34 Palestinians in its offensive, which began on Tuesday at dawn and ended with a ceasefire, on Thursday morning.
She said that the Israeli army killed eight children and three women, and added that 111 Palestinians, including 46 children and 20 women, have been injured.
%32.35 of the slain Palestinians are women and children, and %59.4 of the wounded are also women and children.
“This terrifying fact proves that Israel committed a serious crime, a premeditated murder of children and women,” she said, “This is not an accidental killing, or a mistake, but rather a deliberate, calculated policy.”
The Minister stated that the international community must end its silence and idleness, and act on providing the needed protection to the Palestinian people.
“Israel obliterated families; one clear example of that is Abu Malhous family that lost eight of its member due to the Israeli missiles,” she concluded, “Moreover, the psychological trauma, the grieve, will continue to impact the lives of hundreds of Palestinians.”
Besides destroying or damaging dozens of homes, the Israeli missiles caused damage to fifteen schools in the two days of ongoing bombardment.
Six schoolchildren were killed, and many others were injured, in addition to the dozens of children who suffered extreme anxiety attacks.
The Israeli missiles caused damage to 185 homes, and destroyed five other homes, in several parts of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, has affirmed that the Palestinian resistance’s rockets hit the heart of Israel, but the latter imposed a news blackout on reporting any details regarding the losses and destruction caused by Palestinian rocket fire.
“The resistance’s missiles and rockets reached the heart of the Zionist entity and if the enemy talked about that, Netanyahu would be mocked and scoffed at by the Zionist street,” spokesman for al-Quds Brigades Abu Hamza said in Twitter remarks.
“The enemy is imposing very tight control on what has happened so as not to see the settlers go on marches against Netanyahu and his war minister and their alleged victory and false illusion turn into a crushing defeat sending Netanyahu to prison instead of forming a new government,” Abu Hamza added.
The spokesman defied the Israeli army leadership to reveal photos and videos that show the extent of the destruction that the Palestinian resistance had inflicted on buildings and infrastructure in Israeli areas.

An Egyptian-brokered ceasefire agreement was reportedly reached between the Palestinian resistance and Israel, and already came into effect at 05:30 am on Thursday, November 14.
No official sources have confirmed the news yet, but al-Jazeera satellite channel quoted unnamed sources as saying that the Islamic Jihad Movement and Israel accepted an Egyptian request for a ceasefire starting today morning.
The reported agreement came about four hours following an Israeli massacre that claimed the lives of six citizens from one family and injured 12 others in central Gaza.
The local newspaper al-Hadath also quoted a spokesman for Islamic Jihad Musab al-Bareem as saying that a ceasefire deal took effect after the Israeli occupation state acquiesced to the Palestinian resistance’s terms.
“This agreement has taken place after the resistance said its word, confronted the aggression, broke Netanyahu’s arrogance and defended the Palestinian people,” spokesman Bareem added.
He affirmed that the ceasefire deal was reached on the basis of conditions made by Islamic Jihad on behalf of the resistance factions, which demanded Israeli pledges to stop assassinations, refrain from targeting the participants in the March of Return rallies and start taking steps to end the siege on Gaza.
