Two Palestinians were wounded in Gaza Strip at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) afternoon Friday while a third, a minor, was injured in Ramallah on Thursday night.
Local sources in northern Gaza Strip said that IOF soldiers manning military watchtowers to the east of Jabalia town opened fire at citizens and wounded two of them.
Dr. Ashraf al-Qidra, the health ministry spokesman, said that the two, in their twenties, were in moderate condition after being hit with bullets in their feet.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old Palestinian was hit with a bullet in his lower abdomen in Ramallah on Thursday night during confrontations with IOF soldiers, eyewitnesses reported.
They said that an IOF raid near Beitello village, west of Ramallah, triggered the confrontations with local inhabitants.
Medical sources in Ramallah government hospital said that Kamal Safi, 17, was in moderate to serious condition and was subjected to an emergency surgery.

Hemaya center for human rights said Thursday that the Israeli occupation army violated the Egyptian-brokered truce agreement in the Gaza Strip several times during last November.
Last month, a Palestinian man was killed when Israeli soldiers opened fire at him during his presence in a border area inside Gaza, according to a report released by the center on Thursday.
The report pointed out that Israeli army notably intensified last month its gunfire attacks off the coast of Gaza, where 10 armed assaults had been reported on fishermen and their boats.
During the reporting month, two Israeli limited incursions took place, amid intensive gunfire, in Gaza border areas and nine Palestinian civilians suffered bullet wounds as invading Israeli troops opened fire indiscriminately on populated areas.
The center also said that the Israeli army kidnapped six Palestinians from Gaza during the same period and closed Karam Abu Salem crossing for seven days.

Nearly 75 Palestinian students became disabled after being injured during the Israeli fierce offensive on Gaza last summer, an official report revealed.
Dr. Ahmad El Hawajri, Director General of Educational Guidance and Counseling at the Ministry of Education, confirmed that 75 Palestinian students became disabled after sustaining different injuries during Israel’s aggression on Gaza, of whom there are 22 suffering from visual impairment, 25 from hearing impairment, and 28 from mobility impairment.
He pointed out that hundreds of students in Gaza still suffer from psychological and emotional traumas caused by the summer aggression. “Nearly 673 students suffer from underachievement due to the war effect on them.”
He stressed that his ministry will provide all the necessary and required material and psychological support for those students to enjoy their normal life.
On July 2014, Israeli carried out a fierce and bloody aggression on Gaza that lasted for 51 days and led to the martyrdom of more than 2100 civilians mostly children and the injury of more than 11,000 others.
The General Federation for the Disabled in Gaza earlier said that more than 40% of the war-wounded are either visually impaired, or hearing impaired, or mobility impaired.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened machinegun fire at Palestinian
residential neighborhoods in the southern Gaza Strip district of Khan
Younis on Tuesday morning.
A field observer told Quds Press that the IOF shooting focused on the eastern areas of Khan Younis city.
He pointed out that the shooting was coupled with intensive over flights of reconnaissance planes.
The shooting is the latest violation of the Egyptian-brokered truce between Israel and Palestinian resistance factions in late last August.

Hundreds of homeless Gazans flocked to the main headquarters of the UNRWA in Gaza demanding emergency shelters and protesting the delay of the rebuilding process.
The Popular Committee against the Siege reiterated its firm rebuff of the plan devised by UN delegate Robert Serry and signed on September 16, dubbing the initiative an Israeli plot to tighten the noose around Gazans’ necks.
Spokesperson for the committee, Adham Abu Sleima, slammed, in a press conference held Monday outside of the UNRWA headquarters in Gaza, the Palestinian Authority for having approved the plan, holding the PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and his Premier Rami Hamdallah responsible for the delay in the reconstruction process.
He further warned of intents to rebuild the structures destroyed by the latest Israeli offensive on Gaza based on the number of families rather than on the overall dimension of the ruined area.
“The UNRWA should take up its legal and humanitarian responsibility and work on assuaging civilians’ agony rather than partaking in a conspiracy aiming at tightening the grip on Gazans,” the activist said.
The committee called on the countries that participated in the Cairo reconstruction conference to maintain full commitment to their pledges, calling on Egypt to open the Rafah border crossing and smooth passengers’ access out of and into the Strip.
The committee vowed that the Palestinian people shall never remain mum over such a tragic state of affairs in Gaza and the slow death policies wrought by the Israeli occupation on the blockaded enclave.
The sit-inners condemned the UN and the Palestinian unity government for exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and for sharpening the unemployment and poverty rates in the beleaguered enclave.

The Israeli occupation army on Sunday evening opened machinegun fire at populated border areas in Qarara town, northeast of the Gaza district of Khan Younis, while its navy attacked Gazan fishermen.
The gunfire attacks caused no casualties among civilians, local sources told the Palestinian information center (PIC).
The sources reported that Israeli troops got out of their armored jeeps in the south of Kissufim military post, east of Qarara town, and embarked on opening fire intensively and indiscriminately at border areas inside Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Israeli navy also opened fire on fishing boats in Gaza sea while fishing within the six-nautical miles.
The gunfire incident took place near the coast of Beit Lahiya, north of Gaza.
In a new incident reported on Monday morning, the Israeli navy opened fire heavily at fishing boats off the coast of Rafah area in southern Gaza, with no reported casualties.
It was not the first time, such incidents happened. The Israeli army and its naval forces had violated the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire agreement with the Palestinians in Gaza several times before.

Palestinian economy Minister Mohamed Mustafa said Israel officially rejected the proposal of having a Turkish power ship anchored near the impoverished Gaza Strip coast to help solve the electricity crisis there, according to Anadolu news agency.
"The Israeli rejection [to the proposal] requires us to make more efforts to solve the electricity problem in Gaza," Mustafa said in a press release on Sunday.
“The past few days have witnessed an increase in the cutoff of the electricity supply, extending for eight consecutive hours instead of the usual five," he added.
“We are currently waiting for the Israelis to extend power lines in order to increase electricity supply to the Strip,” Mustafa said.
"Since 2012, electricity in the Gaza Strip has been operating according to a rotation system; it works for six hours in some areas and cuts off for another six hours to provide other areas with power," Anadolu stated.
Among the factors that aggravated the electricity crisis in Gaza are problems related to infrastructure, scarcity of fuel supplies and technical issues with the power plant.
During the last Israeli war on Gaza, the Strip’s sole power plant became out of service after its main fuel tanks were bombed by the Israeli army.
The Gaza Strip needs 360 megawatts of electricity, of which only 200 megawatts are currently available.
120 of these megawatts are supplied by Israel and another 28 megawatts by Egypt, while the Gaza power plant generates daily between 40 and 60 megawatts.

The Palestinian Minister of Public Works and Housing, Mufeed al-Hassayna, said the Gaza Strip needs 150,000 emergency housing units per year to shelter thousands of homeless families and children.
Al-Hassayna said in a statement Sunday that the latest Israeli offensive on Gaza exacerbated the densely-populated enclave’s housing deficit.
He slammed the Israeli occupation for dragging its feet vis-à-vis the reconstruction process, blocking border-crossings, and obstructing the access of rebuilding materials into the Strip.
The minister called on the UN institutions to take action against the Israeli occupation and push for lifting the siege so as to assuage Palestinians’ agony.

An Israeli gunboat on Saturday evening opened machinegun fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of the Gaza Strip, with no reported casualties.
Head of the Gazan fishermen syndicate Nazar Ayyash said that the gunfire attack took place off the northern coast of Gaza, but luckily no one was wounded.
The Israeli navy claimed that the fishermen had been outside the permitted six-mile fishing area, in violation of understandings in this regard reached between the Palestinians and Israelis in their last ceasefire talks in Cairo, Ayyash told Anadolu news agency.
He complained that the Israeli navy boats attack Gaza fishermen within the six nautical miles and obstruct their work almost on a daily basis.

“The occupation brings nothing but bitterness and destruction.” This was translated into action by the Israeli occupation Forces (IOF) in the last war against Gaza.
In the aggressive assault on Gaza, the IOF distorted Gaza’s beautiful image. Israel launched a brutal war, not only on the people, but also on the buildings and infrastructure of Gaza, on livestock and on farms, on schools, universities and hospitals.
Israel’s war was also a war on faith and religion, a war on tolerance. For, Israel destroyed and damaged more than 250 mosques in the beleaguered enclave.
Statistics speak
According to the Ministry of Endowments the number of the mosques attacked in 2014 is three times the number of those attacked in 2008-2009 offensive.
In 51 days, Israel totally destroyed 73 mosques and caused a partial damage to 197 others. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Gaza, Hassan al-Saifi, said that the re-building of the damaged mosques will cost about $50 million.
A war on cultural heritage and history
Al Mahkama is the name of one of the oldest mosques in Gaza that was destroyed by Israeli F16s. It was built in 1400 (550 years before the establishment of Israel) by Prince Bardabk Al Dawadar and was used first as a school and then as a court during the Ottoman rule.
The mosque consisted of 3 porticos full of domes. The octagon minaret is what remained after the Israeli bombardment. The entire mosque with its domes and trappings in a split second turned into rubble.
Al Thofordomri is another mosque that was razed to the ground by the Israeli warplanes. The more than 600 years old mosque was reduced to rubble after Israeli warplanes attacked it with F16’s missiles.
The historical mosque that was established by the Mamluk Prince Shehab Al Deen Ahmad Althofordomri was 600 square meters. Its 3 porticos with the horseshoe-shaped windows reflected its originality and uniqueness.
Israeli occupation also bombed Jabaliya’s most ancient mosque: al-Omari Mosque, which stood there for hundreds of years, surviving all wars and natural disasters.
False Claims
Israel claimed it targeted mosques used for military purposes, such as the stockpiling of weapons and as meeting points for the fighters. Hamas and other military movements denied that.
A commentator on Facebook said if they were used as military meeting points or for stockpiling weapons then “where are the dead fighters? Where is the wreckage of the alleged enormous arms caches?”
Not only places of worship
Targeting mosques touches a raw nerve in Palestine since they are seen not just as places of worship but as integral parts of the cultural and social fabric in Gaza.
Mosques play educational and social roles in the Gaza Strip. Mosques organize sports events such as soccer and table tennis tournaments.
Al-Aqsa is in danger, all mosques are
Not only in Gaza! The mosques of the West Bank are also in danger. On 12-11-2014 a group of Israeli colonial settlers attacked Othman mosque in Kufur Mughayyir, near Ramallah. They burned the mosque and wrote racist slogans on its walls. According to a report for the Arabic Center for Studies, this incident raised the number of attacked mosques in the West Bank to 14 mosques.
The situation in al-Aqsa mosque is no better. Almost on daily basis Israeli soldiers storm al-Aqsa esplanade to provide protection for the Jewish extremists who, with their break-ins into the holy site, defy Muslims’ feelings all over the world. And it has become almost a daily practice for Israeli military police to restrict the entry of Muslims for Friday and other prayers. Clashes usually erupt between IOF soldiers and Palestinian youths fighting for their right to worship and movement, leaving dozens of them injured and others detained.
Also, since January this year, the Israeli army closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil (Hebron) for 12 times and stopped the Azzan, the call for prayers, on several occasions.
The Israeli army frequently closes the Mosque on Fridays and Saturdays and will open it only for Jews to celebrate their many holidays.
Full-fledged Crime
Targeting religious and cultural sites constitutes a violation of international laws and conventions according to Article 4 of the Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property.
Under this convention, all adequate precautions must be taken to avoid damage of cultural property in cases of war. It is also considered a criminal act under Article 8 of the International Criminal Court Statue that considers directing attacks against buildings dedicated to religion a war crime.
Faith never dies
Targeting landmarks and historical places is a systematic Israeli practice to eradicate Palestinian existence and their affiliation with Palestine.
Palestinians insist that nothing will uproot them from their land, faith, and heritage, and that they will keep building what the occupation destroys.
