Israeli soldiers, on Sunday, shot and critically injured a Palestinian to the east of the town of al-Qarara, east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondence reports that soldiers stationed at a watch tower near Israel's Kissufim military base, opened fire at a Palestinian, critically injuring him.
Israeli soldiers open fire at Palestinians along the border areas almost on daily basis, in violation of the declared Egyptian-brokered truce agreement reached, between the Palestinian-Israeli sides, on August 26th of this year.
At least eight Palestinians were abducted, late Saturday night and early Sunday, by the Israeli authorities in occupied East Jerusalem, whereas at least five others in the West Bank were summoned to appear for interrogation before the Israeli intelligence, say local sources.
Six Palestinians, identified as Islam and Rabah Odeh, Sharif Rajabi, Abud Abu Sbeih, Anwar Jamjoum and Kayed Kiswani, were taken during predawn raids across Jerusalem.
Later Sunday, Israeli police arrested two brothers from Bethlehem at their workplace in Jerusalem, under the pretext of ‘entering Israel without a permit.’ The brothers were identified as Adham, 19, and Mohannad Zawahra, 17.
(Israel only rarely issues permits for Palestinians seeking work in Jerusalem.)
Meanwhile, in occupied Bethlehem and the nearby villages of Taqu, Aida refugee camp, and al-Khader, the Israeli army served summons to five Palestinians to appear for interrogation before the Israeli intelligence, in nearby Etzion military complex.
WAFA notes that the Palestinian Prisoners' Club (PPC) reported, on Sunday, a growing discontent among Palestinian prisoners incarcerated in ‘Eshel’ prison, due to infestation of bedbugs, continuing Israeli restrictions on family visits, and the daily midnight provocative raid and searches of their cells.
Israeli prison administration throughout Israeli jails, according to the PPC, prohibits prisoners from bringing blankets and warm winter clothes from outside, but allows them to buy blankets from the prison’s canteen; the blankets sold there are very expensive, very bad in quality and do not provide an acceptable amount of warmth.
More than 5,000 Palestinian prisoners are still detained in Israeli prisons, of whom dozens are serving a life sentence and many still on hunger strike, in protest of Israel's ongoing policy of Administrative Detention. Through this practice, which dates back to the time of British Mandate Palestine, prisoners are held without charge or trial under severe conditions, not knowing when or if they will ever be released.
The number of sick prisoners detained in Israeli jails has now reached 1,500, of whom 80 prisoners are suffering from serious health problems and neglected of necessary and adequate treatment.
Prisoners suffer from malignant diseases, paralysis and other disabilities, in addition to cases of mental illness and neurological disorder, Palestinian Minister of Prisoners’ Affairs, Issa Qaraqi, has stated.

The armed wings of Palestinian resistance movements in Gaza Strip are planning to hold an important meeting to discuss the delay of Gaza reconstruction and the siege three months after the signing of the Egypt-brokered truce that ended the Israeli aggression.
Palestinian sources said, “A leader in the Palestinian armed brigades has recently invited the other brigades to hold a meeting to discuss Israel’s procrastination regarding the reconstruction of Gaza and its reluctance to lift the blockade despite the fact that these were conditions stated in the truce.”
“This meeting will announce some important decisions by Palestinian resistance brigades to put everyone before their responsibilities,” the sources added.
A leader in one of the Palestinian armed wings told Quds Press, “The Zionist enemy and its supporters are unsuccessfully trying to spread despair among our people to weaken their feeling of victory over the occupation by delaying the application of the ceasefire terms most important of which are lifting the siege and reconstructing Gaza.”
“We will send an important message to all parties concerned that continuing the siege and obstructing the reconstruction will trigger yet another explosion, and the enemy, single-handedly responsible for this delay, will bear the consequences,” he added.
He continued, “Everyone should know that our resistance was and will always be ready and that the guns will always be directed at the enemy. Our people will never accept, under any conditions or pretexts, threats by anyone that would infringe on their dignity or any attempt to send them back to square one.”
On the 7th of July, Israel launched a 51-day aggression against the Gaza Strip. It carried out thousands of air, ground and naval raids resulting in 2162 deaths, thousands of injuries, and thousands of demolished houses.
Israel signed an Egyptian-brokered truce on the 26th of August with the Palestinian resistance. The truce stipulates ending the siege imposed on Gaza, starting the reconstruction process and allowing the building materials to enter the Strip. It also stipulates ending all military operations and assassinations by Israel in return for an end to the firing of rockets and attacks from the Gaza Strip.
The spokesman of Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, said in an event held by Hamas Movement on Thursday to honor the martyrs of the last Israeli aggression in Rafah City that delaying the reconstruction of Gaza and continuing the blockade would cause the situation in Gaza to explode.

A Palestinian fishing boat was shot at and destroyed late Wednesday when Israeli gunboats opened heavy fire towards it off Rafah shores to the south of the Strip.
Palestinian security sources said that three Israeli gunboats opened heavy machine gun fire at two Palestinian fishing boats off the southern coast of the Gaza Strip without prior warning.
One of the fishing boats was completely destroyed while the second managed to escape. No injuries were reported during the attack.
In late August, a ceasefire agreement that ended the Israeli 51-day aggression has allowed Palestinian fishermen to ply their trade up to six nautical miles off the coast of the Gaza Strip as opposed to a previous three miles. Yet, according to a human rights center, all the documented attacks in September "took place within the distance of 6 nautical miles."

The Hamas Movement categorically denied it had asked for part of the funds pledged for Gaza reconstruction projects, describing claims in this regards as blatant lies.
Its spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri on Wednesday deplored senior Fatah official Barakat al-Farra for claiming that Hamas asked for 20 percent of the funds earmarked for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
"Such claims reflect the level which the Palestinian Authority and Fatah leaders have stooped to regarding fabricating lies," Abu Zuhri said.
"These are false and unfounded allegations, and the Palestinian people are aware that such a thing cannot be believed," the spokesman added.
Senior Fatah official Barakat al-Farra, former Palestinian ambassador to Egypt, recently accused Hamas of obstructing the reconstruction of Gaza by asking for 20 percent of the funds pledged in last month's Cairo conference.
Donor countries on October 12 pledged, during a conference held in Cairo, a total of 5.4 billion dollars for Gaza reconstruction projects and humanitarian needs, but nothing has been fulfilled in this regard.

VOA reported, today, that U.S.
Secretary of State John Kerry was scheduled to meet with PA President
Mahmoud Abbas in Jordan, Thursday.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said, according to the PNN, the talks were likely to focus on how to lower tensions with Israeli occupation, particularly the recent flare-up in the dispute over al-Aqsa mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.
Also up for discussion are the current efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip, where Israeli airstrikes flattened entire neighborhoods during a 50-day war that left more than 2,100 Palestinians dead and some 11,000 injured.
The meeting comes just a day after Israel announced a new phase of planned illegal settlement construction in a Palestinian section of East Jerusalem, and Bethlehem, in the West Bank.
Psaki said, Wednesday, that the U.S. is "deeply concerned" about Israel's settlement construction plans, which "fly in the face" of the stated goal of achieving a two-state solution.

At least 27 abducted overnight
Israeli forces, on Thursday, opened fire towards a number of houses and lands belonging to Palestinian farmers east of Khuza'a, in the Gaza Strip. Further clashes have broken out in several West Bank neighborhoods, including the Bethlehem district, where a house was set on fire by an Israeli teargas canister.
Al Ray correspondence confirmed the news in Gaza, saying that the Israeli military opened fire towards farmers who are close to the location and nearby homes. No casualties or injuries were reported, however.
Israeli soldiers, yesterday, shot a tear gas grenade into a home in Bethlehem's Aida refugee camp during clashes with local youth, causing a fire to break out and destroy the room and its contents.
Locals said that Israeli forces have fired tear gas into the camp every day for the past year, with youth throwing stones at the soldiers in response.
According to Ma'an News Agency, there are 19 refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, within which live about a quarter of the 771,000 registered refugees in the territory.
More than 760,000 Palestinians -- estimated today to number 4.8 million with their descendants -- were pushed into exile or driven out of their homes in the conflict surrounding Israel's creation in 1948.
Dozens of Palestinians , on Thursday, suffered from tear gas suffocation during clashes with Israeli forces in al-Fawwar refugee camp, to the south of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondence.
Clashes erupted at the main entrance of the camp, where soldiers fired rubber-coated bullets and tear gas canisters towards the residents and their homes, causing many to suffocate by tear gas inhalation. They were all treated at the scene.
The camp is also scene of regular clashes with Israeli forces, in addition to house raids, demolition of properties and arrests.
Israeli forces abducted at least 27 Palestinians across East Jerusalem and the West Bank overnight, as clashes continued to erupt in Jerusalem's al-Issawiya neighborhood.
Authorities conducted extensive raids in the East Jerusalem neighborhoods of Silwan, al-Tur, al-Suwwana, and Jabal al-Mukabbir early Thursday, where several Palestinians were taken.
Furthermore, on Thursday, Israeli forces engaged in home raids across the West Bank, kidnapping some 18 individuals.
An Israeli military spokeswoman reportedly confirmed the arrests, saying that 15 were "suspected of involvement in terror and violent riots," while three were suspected of "involvement in illegal activities."
She also claimed that three of the Palestinians detained overnight were "Hamas operatives," including two individuals taken from a village she called "Khirbat Bneizi", to the northwest of Ramallah, as well one from Sair, southwest of Bethlehem.
Of the remaining Palestinians detained overnight, she said that three were taken from homes in Beit Lid near Nablus, one from Anabta east of Tulkaram, one from Rafidia northwest of Nablus, one from Beit Liqia southwest of Ramallah, four from Deir Ballut, three from Hizma southeast of Ramallah, and two from al-Rihiya, south of Hebron.
Of those arrests, Ma'an was able to independently verify 10 of the detainees.
Palestinian security sources confirmed to Ma'an that Israeli forces raided the village of Deir Ballut and detained Wahbi Kayid Judeh, 23, Sami Abdullah, 17, Daoud Khalid Abdullah, 26, and Tariq Rashid Abu Kheir, 23.
Anas Ismail Moussa, age 15, was detained from Bethlehem, while Musallam Nasser Sawalhi, 17, was detained from Beituniya.
In the Bethlehem governorate in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces detained Fouad Omar Salah, 20, from the village of al-Khader, and took him to Etzion detention center for interrogation on Thursday.
Fouad's brother, Muhammad Salah, told Ma'an that Israeli forces raided their home around 1:00 a.m. and detained his brother after they had "wrecked" the home during the raid.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Society confirmed that, in the overnight raids, Alaa Muhammad Kayid Nana, Abdullah Tubasi, and Aydah Jabarin were taken from Hebron.
More than 5,000 Palestinians are currently being held in Israeli prisons, including hundreds without charge or trial.
Also on Thursday, Israeli settlers pelted passing Palestinian vehicles with stones in Dura town, to the south of Hebron, according to security sources. No injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces raided al-Zaitoun neighborhood, in Hebron, where they broke into several houses, including the house of al-Haslamon family.
A member of al-Haslamon family, Maher, reportedly attacked last Monday three Israeli settlers outside the illegal settlement of Alon Shvut, part of the Gush Etzion bloc of settlements between Bethlehem and Hebron, killing a woman and injuring three other people.
An Israeli military special unit took photos and measurements for the house in anticipation of a demolition order, this just days after Israeli PM Netanyahu said that his cabinet had approved a decision to demolish the houses of Palestinians involved in such attacks against Israelis.
According to WAFA, Maher is currently unconscious in the intensive care unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem after being shot and critically wounded by soldiers stationed near the scene.

Palestinian medical sources in Gaza said several fishermen have been injured, late on Sunday at night and after midnight, after Israel Navy boats fired rounds of live ammunition and shells, at their boats, close to the shore of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Safa news Agency said Israeli boats chased, late on Sunday at night, several Palestinian fishing boats, in Palestinian territorial waters close to Egyptian waters, and fired dozens of rounds of live ammunition, and several shells, at them.
One of the boats was destroyed and burnt, while the Navy also fired flares while military helicopters, and a drone, flew overhead.
About an hour later, the fishermen who were onboard the targeted boats, managed to swim to the shore, and were moved to the Abu Yousef Najjar Hospital, in Rafah, suffering moderate-to-severe injuries.
Another attack took place nearly at 12:40 after midnight; the fishermen jumped into the water just before the navy shelled their boat.
The Israeli Navy said it targeted a Palestinian boat “returning from Egyptian waters” allegedly carrying “equipment and supplies,” and that the boat tried to evade the navy before the soldiers opened fire.
