Israeli forces Wednesday stormed the Ramallah area village of Nabi Saleh, raided and ransacked several Palestinian houses, and confiscated private properties, said a statement issued by the village’s popular resistance committee.
It said that Israeli forces raided several houses in the village, including the house of the coordinator of the Popular Committee in the village, Naji al-Tamimi, as well as the house of the detained Palestinian activist Basim al-Tamimi.
The Israeli forces confiscated a number of computers, a camera, official documents and copies of magazines discussing the situation in the village issued by the Popular Committee and the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territory, B'Tselem.
The statement added that Israeli soldiers threatened the villagers in an attempt to halt the popular resistance campaign and weekly protests against the expansion of nearby settlements.
Residents of Nabi Saleh have been organizing weekly protests since December 2009 against the expansion of the illegal Halamish and Neve Tzuf settlements on village land and their takeover of water springs vital for the livelihood of village residents.
The committee said that Israeli forces has been targeting the village for three weeks now, conducting almost daily raids and assaulting residents at the entrance of the village. Three Palestinians have been arrested since then, including a minor.

Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khaled Meshaal has underscored the movement’s commitment to fighting Israel, saying the Zionist regime is using Gaza as a “guinea pig” for testing its missile capabilities.
“We will naturally continue our fight against Israel in political, diplomatic and media fields. We will try to get the greatest support possible from the world,” Meshaal said in an interview with Turkey's Anatolia news agency on Sunday.
Meshaal asserted that Palestinian missiles are fired only after Israeli attacks on the strip and in self-defense.
Israel has launched a fresh round of airstrikes on Gaza since March 9, killing more than 25 Palestinians, including children and women, and wounding dozens of others.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blatantly said last week that the Tel Aviv regime will continue airstrikes against Gaza “as long as necessary.”
China, Turkey, Iran, Jordan and the Arab League have condemned the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Israel imposed a deadly war on the Gaza Strip in December 2008-January 2009. More than 1,400 Palestinians were killed in the conflict.

At approximately 7:20 pm on Saturday 17 March 2012, Suhaib Majed Sultan, 6, sustained a bullet wound in the right thigh. According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the child was injured while he was playing with his brothers in his home.
Their sheet-metal house, about 80 square meters in area, is located in the As-Salam neighborhood west of Rafah crossing, about four kilometers away from the eastern separation fence.
The boy was transported to Abu Yousif An-Najjar Hospital in a civilian car, and then referred to Gaza European Hospital.
His injuries were described as moderate. The time of Suhaib’s injury coincides with gunfire by Israeli Occupation Forces stationed in a watch tower near the Karam Abu Salim (Kerem Shalom) border crossing.

"He is in moderate condition and was shot with live fire in his thigh," he told AFP on Sunday.
The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the attack.
The shooting came amid an Egyptian-brokered truce that ended four days of Israeli attacks on Gazans.
At least 26 Palestinians were killed in dozens of airstrikes by the Israeli military.

Israel turns Gaza into testing field for weapons: Meshaal
Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khaled Meshaal has said that the Israeli military has turned the Gaza Strip into a testing field for its new weapons.
"Israel used Gaza as a field experiment for the Iron Dome [missile system]” and the weapons of the Israeli army, Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post quoted Meshaal as saying in a surprise meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara late on Friday.
The Hamas leader also criticized the Israeli regime for using "fabricating excuses" to launch the recent attacks on the Gaza Strip.
At least 26 Palestinians have been killed and dozens of others injured in Israeli attacks on the coastal sliver since March 9.
Erdogan also lambasted the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, saying that Tel Aviv was marking efforts to drag Palestinians into war.
Reports say Meshaal and Erdogan also discussed the ongoing reconciliation talks between Palestinian groups Hamas and Fatah.
“There are positive developments regarding relations between Hamas and Fatah. We will assess these developments,” Erdogan told reporters before the meeting.
Fatah, which controls the West Bank, and Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, have been trying to form a unity government based on an agreement brokered by Egypt and signed last year in Cairo.

The European Parliament (EP) Thursday expressed deep concern about Israeli army raids on two Palestinian television stations in Ramallah late last month and called on Israel to return equipment it seized at the two stations, according to an EP resolution.
It also said that Israeli raids on Palestinian-controlled areas are a breach of the Oslo accords singed in 1993.
An Israeli army unit raided Wattan TV and Al Quds Educational Television, a subsidiary of Al-Quds University, on February 29 at the request of the Israeli Ministry of Communications and seized transmitters and other broadcast equipment and files claiming the frequencies the stations used interfere with airport communication, a claim strongly denied by the stations and the Palestinian Authority, which has licensed them.
The EP resolution called on Israel to fully respect its agreements with the Palestinian Authority, and called on the European Union High Representative to place this issue on the agenda of the EU-Israel Association Council.
The EP “Calls on the Israeli authorities to fully respect the provisions of the existing agreements between Israel and the Palestinian Authority when dealing with Palestinian media,” said the resolution.
While the resolution has welcomed “Palestine’s institution-building efforts; [it noted] that raids by Israeli forces affecting Palestinian cities where the Palestinian Authority, under the Oslo Accords, has assumed powers and responsibilities over internal security and public order constitute a breach of those accords.”
The EP called “on the (EU) Vice President/High Representative, the (European) Council, and the (European) Commission to place this issue, which concerns the basic rights of public access to information, press freedom and freedom of expression, on the agenda of the EU-Israel Association Council.”
The EP members supported efforts of the Palestinian Authority to restore equipment and urged the Israeli authorities to immediately return the confiscated equipment.

One man was killed and three injured during an exchange of fire on the Israel-Egypt border Thursday evening, the Israeli army said.
The military said in a statement that its soldiers shot at a group trying to enter Israel from Egypt and hit three people after they failed to respond to calls to stop. The army said shots were fired simultaneously from the Egyptian side.
Israeli soldiers pursued and caught three injured men and a fourth was found dead "at the point of infiltration," the army said.
The injured people were taken to an Israeli hospital by helicopter, the military added. No Israeli soldiers were hurt.
Egypt's security chief in the northern Sinai Saleh al-Masry said the men were Bedouin cigarette smugglers, CNN reported. He said Israeli authorities had not officially informed their Egyptian counterparts of the incident.
In its statement announcing the shooting, the Israeli army referred to an earlier incident in which it claimed an explosive device was found along the border.
"It should be noted that this February, a powerful explosive device was planted along the Israel-Egypt border during a smuggling attempt," the military said.
Al-Masry rejected the claim and accused Israel of "politicizing" the incident, CNN reported.

Israel launches fresh air raids on Gaza

Israeli warplanes launched two air raids on the Gaza Strip at dawn Thursday but no casualties were reported, local sources said.
The PIC reporter said that the Israeli warplanes fired a missile at a deserted area east of Zaitun suburb in Gaza city and another one at an open piece of land to the east of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli warplanes remained flying over the coastal enclave as Palestinian security agencies evacuated all security buildings in anticipation of any air strike.
Egypt announced it succeeded in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian resistance factions on Tuesday but Israeli warplanes continue sporadic raids while resistance fighters retaliate by firing a number of rockets.
Airstrikes target Gaza Strip

Witnesses said that Israeli missiles landed on agricultural land, causing a fire and severe damage.
No injuries were reported.
"Overnight, IAF aircraft targeted a rocket launching site in the northern Gaza Strip and a terror tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip," Israel's army said.
Four days of Israeli airstrikes killed 25 Palestinians and wounded more than 80 since Friday, and Gaza militants fired a volley of rockets into Israel, wounding eight Israelis.
Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committees said Tuesday they had agreed to an Egypt-brokered deal to end hostilities.
An Egyptian official said a truce to end the violence was in effect since 1 a.m. local time (2300 GMT) Tuesday morning.
Israeli warplane attacks northern Gaza Strip
An Israeli warplane has struck the southeast of Gaza City, located in the north of the Tel Aviv-blockaded Gaza Strip.
The latest airstrike was conducted late Wednesday night, according to Palestinian security officials, AFP reported.
No causalities have been reported yet from the attack.
At least 26 Palestinians have been killed and dozens others injured in Israeli attacks on the coastal sliver since March 9.
Despite international pressure, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last Sunday that Tel Aviv would continue its airstrikes against Gaza ‘as long as necessary.’
Iran, China, Turkey, and the Arab League have condemned the Israeli attacks.
Israeli warplanes and ground forces have been frequently attacking Gaza since the end of Tel Aviv’s December 2008-January 2009 war on the enclave, which killed more than 1,400 Palestinians. Most of the victims of the attacks are civilians, including women and children.
Gaza has been blockaded since 2007, causing a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.
The full-scale land, aerial, and naval siege has turned the enclave into the world's largest open-air prison.

The full-scale land, aerial, and naval siege has turned the enclave into the world's largest open-air prison.

Israeli artillery shelling targets central Gaza

The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday night fired a number of artillery shells into the central Gaza Strip, but no casualties were reported, according to local sources.
The PIC correspondent said that occupation tanks fired a number of artillery shells and opened machinegun fire towards the eastern parts of the central Gaza Strip causing a state of panic and terror amongst the local population. At the same time occupation aircraft were present all the time in the skies of the Strip.
Three Palestinians were wounded on Tuesday while participating in the funeral of two of the victims of the latest Israeli occupation onslaught. Despite the announcement of a ceasefire, occupation forces fired at the funeral procession of Bassam Ejla and Muhammad Dhaher to the east of Gaza City.
The Israeli occupation’s latest aggression started on Friday when Israeli aircraft assassinated the Secretary General of the Popular Resistance Committees, followed by numerous air raids killing 25 Palestinians, and wounding about 80 others. The victims included a number of elderly people, women and children.
Haneyya invites Clinton to Gaza to witness Israel's atrocities
Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya called on US secretary of state Hillary Clinton to visit the Gaza Strip to see the enormity of Israel's war crimes.
Haneyya made his remarks during a visit on a Tuesday to Al-Shifa hospital where he met with victims of the Israeli military aggression, listened to them and received a brief on their medical conditions.
He hoped that Clinton could be unprejudiced and stop denying the Palestinian people the right to defend themselves, and invited her to visit Gaza to witness with her own eyes what is really happening on the ground.
The premier also expressed profound horror at the size of the Israeli atrocities committed against the Palestinians, especially the children, adding that what he saw during his visit was an Israeli savagery and brutality in every sense of the word.
In another context, head of the German social democratic party Sigmar Gabriel called for stopping to ignore Hamas Movement and affirmed that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict cannot be solved without it.
He stated in press remarks to the German news agency that Hamas is one of the important elements in this conflict which cannot be addressed if any of them is neglected.
He affirmed that he intended to meet with a senior Hamas official and to visit Gaza, but he changed his plans because of the Israeli escalation in Gaza.

A Palestinian fire fighter extinguishes a fire at a building following an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City, March 14, 2012
Israeli warplanes bombed the northern Gaza Strip early Wednesday, causing damage but no injuries, casting uncertainty over a truce deal agreed 24 hours earlier.
Israeli airstrikes hit an open area west of Gaza City, sparking a large fire that burned down a wood warehouse and damaged nearby homes, a Ma'an correspondent said.
Palestinian Civil Defense forces said firefighters spent two and a half hours putting out the blaze.
An Israeli army statement said the strike "targeted two terror activity sites ... in response to the rockets fired at Israel over the past day."
Eight rockets hit southern Gaza on Tuesday, injuring an Israeli and damaging cars, a military spokesman said.
