A Palestinian was killed and 47 others were injured on Friday when the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at the peaceful protesters taking part in the Great March of Return in Gaza.
The Ministry of Health announced that Tamer Arafat, 23, died after being shot by the Israeli forces east of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Ministry said that 47 Palestinians were injured, including two women, 15 children, 4 paramedics, and 2 journalists.
Thousands of Palestinians marched along the border fence between the Gaza Strip and the 1948 occupied territories on the 50th Friday of the Great March of Return which was named "Friday of the Palestinian Woman".

They added that the soldiers also fired high-velocity gas bombs, causing several Palestinians to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
Many Palestinians burnt tires near the fence to obscure the sniper vision of the soldiers, and hurled stones across the perimeter fence, in addition to using fireworks.

Two young men on Tuesday evening suffered bullet injuries when Israeli soldiers opened fire at them in the east of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
According to local sources, the young men was shot by soldiers in their extremities during their presence in a border area near the military post of Abu Qatrawn, east of al-Bureij camp.
The wounded young men were rushed to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Media sources said dozens of Palestinians protested east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, and burnt tires, before the soldiers fired several live rounds, gas bombs and concussion grenades at them.
The Palestinians also used fireworks and hurled stones at the soldiers.
