Israeli forces open fire at Palestinian shepherds in Gaza
Picture
Israeli forces opened fire towards Palestinian shepherds in eastern Deir al-Balah in the central besieged Gaza Strip, on Saturday afternoon.

Witnesses told Ma’an that Israeli forces deployed at military watchtowers opened fire targeting Palestinian shepherds.

No injuries were reported.

The Israeli army also regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds, and farmers along the border areas if they approach the buffer zone, as the authorities have not made clear the precise area of the designated zone.

The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural and fishing sector of the blockaded coastal enclave, which has been under an Israeli air, land, and sea blockade for 10 years.

Two Palestinian minors were killed by Israeli forces, while 17 others suffered injuries, on Friday, during “The Great March of Return” protests along the eastern Gaza border.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that Hassan Iyad Shalbi, 13, and Hamza Muhammad Rashdi Ishteiwi, 17, were shot and killed by Israeli forces, while 17 others suffered various injuries.

The ministry pointed out that Shalbi was shot in the chest, while Ishteiwi was shot in his neck.

Israeli forces fired live ammunition and tear-gas bombs towards Palestinian protesters and Israeli military vehicles repeatedly opened fire east of Khan Younis, south of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Additionally, Israeli forces sprayed sewage water at the protesters to disperse them and targeted a vehicle belonging to the Palestinian Civil Defense with tear-gas bombs.

"The Great March of Return" protests were launched on March 30th by thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza -- which has suffered from a decade-long Israeli siege -- who took to the borders to demand their right of return as refugees to their original homelands, now in present-day Israel.

Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Rafah City in the southern besieged Gaza Strip, on Friday.

Witnesses told a Ma'an reporter that Israeli war boats opened fire targeting Palestinian fishermen off the coast of western Rafah City, forcing the fishermen to head back to shore in fear for their lives.

Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers deployed in military watchtowers in the al-Fukhari area in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, opened fire towards Palestinian farmers in nearby agricultural lands.

Israeli forces move into besieged Gaza, attack fishermen
Picture
Israeli military vehicles rolled on Tuesday morning into Palestinian lands south of the blockaded Gaza Strip at the same time as naval forces opened fire at fishermen off Gaza’s seashore.

Eye-witnesses said four Israeli military bulldozes escorted by an army jeep moved from Kissufim site, south of the Gaza Strip, northwards.

The army vehicles leveled Palestinian lands south of the besieged coastal enclave.

Meanwhile, the committee documenting Israeli violations against Gaza fishermen said Israeli gunboats targeted Palestinian fishing boats with machine gunfire. No injuries were reported.

Israeli military vehicles on Tuesday morning moved dozens of meters into the eastern corners of Deir al-Balah city, in the central Gaza Strip.

A flock of six Israeli army vehicles stationed at Kissufim site rolled into Palestinian lands east of Deir al-Balah city.

Israeli military incursions inside the besieged Gaza Strip and near the border fence have long been a near-daily occurrence.

The Israeli army also regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds, and farmers along the border areas.

The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural harvest of the blockaded coastal enclave.

Gaza's Ministry of Health announced that a Palestinian man died on Sunday evening from wounds he sustained during Gaza coast marches.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Health Ashraf al-Qedra said that Ahmad Abu Jabal, 30, was seriously injured by Israeli gunfire on Tuesday.

Gaza coast marches in recent months have been a major part of the Great March of Return which was launched on 30 March along the eastern border.

Since the start of the border protests, the Israeli occupation army has killed 263 peaceful protesters and injured 27,000 others, 500 of whom are in critical condition.

The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday morning opened fire at Palestinian farmers and bird hunters along the eastern border of the southern Gaza Strip.

Safa news agency said that the Israeli forces heavily opened fire towards agricultural lands east of Khan Younis city.

Other shooting attacks were witnessed in the neighboring Rafah city, but no injuries were reported.

Dozens of Palestinians have been killed as the Israeli occupation army constantly targets farmers, shepherds, and bird hunters working in their lands which are close to the border between the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories occupied since 1948.

5 Palestinians detained after crossing border fence in southern Gaza

Israeli forces detained five Palestinians, on Sunday morning, after they have reportedly crossed the security border fence in the southern besieged Gaza Strip.

Locals told Ma'an that Israeli forces opened fire towards five Palestinians after they crossed the border fence northeast of Rafah, in southern Gaza, and detained them.

Sources added that the Palestinians were taken to an unknown location.

Hebrew-language news outlets also confirmed the detention of the five Palestinians.

However, their identity remained unknown.

Israeli forces regularly detain Palestinians attempting to cross into Israel from the Gaza Strip, which has suffered under a nearly 12-year-long military blockade by Israel.

Dozens of Palestinians were injured on Friday when the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at the peaceful protesters taking part in the Great March of Return in the Gaza Strip.

The PIC reporter said, quoting the Ministry of Health, that 32 Palestinians were injured by live ammunition and dozens others choked on tear gas.

Thousands of Palestinians marched along the border fence separating Gaza and the Palestinian territories occupied since 1948 on the 45th Friday of the Great March of Return.

The Higher National Committee of the Great March of Return earlier in the week announced that the demonstrations on Friday, 1 February, will be held in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

The Great March of Return was launched in Gaza on 30 March to highlight the Palestinian refugees' right of return and pressure Israel to lift the 14-year-long blockade on the seaside area.

The Israeli occupation army has violently quelled the border protests killing so far 262 Palestinians and injuring over 27,000, nearly 500 of whom are in critical condition.

Several Israeli military vehicles raided Palestinian lands along the eastern borders of Khan Younis in the southern besieged Gaza Strip, on Friday morning.

Locals told Ma'an that four large D-9 Israeli military bulldozers entered dozens of meters into Palestinian lands, coming from the Israeli security border fence heading south.

Sources added that Israeli military bulldozers razed and leveled the lands while drones flew overhead.

No shootings were reported.

Israeli military incursions inside the besieged Gaza Strip and near the "buffer zone," which lies on both land and sea sides of Gaza, have long been a near-daily occurrence.

The Israeli army also regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds, and farmers along the border areas if they approach the buffer zone, as the authorities have not made clear the precise area of the designated zone.

The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural and fishing sector of the blockaded coastal enclave, which has been under an Israeli air, land and sea blockade for nearly 12 years.

Israeli forces stationed at military watchtowers along the barbed-wire fence between Israel and Gaza, to the northwest of Beit Lahiya town, in the northern Gaza Strip, fired live bullets and tear gas canisters toward the protesters, shooting and injuring at least 14 Palestinians.

Their medical condition is still unknown.
