Israeli navy gunboats on Sunday evening targeted Palestinian fishermen sailing off Gaza’s seashore with heavy spates of machinegun fire.
According to local sources, Israeli warships opened fire at Palestinian fishing vessels setting sail within the six-nautical-mile zone, off al-Nusairat’s coast, in central Gaza Strip.
Israeli navy routinely opens fire on Palestinian fishermen despite sailing within the unilaterally designated six-nautical-mile fishing zone, flagrantly violating the ceasefire deal that was struck following 2014’s offensive on the Gaza enclave.
The current six-nautical-mile fishing zone falls drastically short of the twenty nautical miles allocated to Palestinian fishermen in the 1993 Oslo Accords.

Israeli planes on Sunday sprayed toxic pesticides on Palestinian farmlands along Gaza's eastern border.
Israel regularly sprays Palestinian citizens' agricultural lands located near the border with dangerous pesticides which destroy the crops.
Farmers and eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that Israeli planes started in the early morning hours to spray farmlands east of Gaza city with poisonous chemical substances, affirming that these pesticides have a negative effect on the crops and cause farmers to suffer huge losses.
Farmer Abu al-Said explained that the effects of Israeli pesticides appear two or three days after they are sprayed.
Israel claims that it only sprays weed killers near the border fence, but it usually sprays hundreds of dunums of land around the targeted areas killing and damaging Palestinian crops.

Mohammad Abu Jami 59
A 59-year-old Gazan farmer, who was shot and injured by Israeli gunfire on Saturday afternoon east of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, died of his wounds in the evening hours.
According to the spokesman of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Ashraf al-Qudra, the Palestinian farmer Mohammad Abu Jami, who is 59 years old, has died of his wounds after being shot by a bullet in the back on Saturday afternoon at the hands of Israeli occupation soldiers who opened their machinegun fire at Gaza farmers east of Khan Younis.
Israeli navy forces and army troopers routinely open fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing within the six-nautical-mile zone off the Gaza shores and farmers working in farmlands along the border with 1948 occupied Palestine, flagrantly violating the ceasefire deal that was struck following 2014’s offensive on the coastal enclave.
Israeli Soldiers Kill A Palestinian Farmer In Khan Younis
The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported, on Saturday evening, that a Palestinian farmer died from serious wounds he suffered at noon, when Israeli soldiers shot him while working on his land, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Health Ministry said that Mohammad Ata Abu Jame’, 59, was shot by the soldiers, and suffered a serious injury, while working on his own land, in Khuza’a area, east of Khan Younis.
He was rushed to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, but died from his serious wounds, on Saturday evening.
His wife said that she was heading to the family’s land to bring food for her husband, before she heard the shots, and then she heard the husband screaming in pain and asking her to call for an ambulance.
The son and his mother, said that there was no reason for the soldiers to shoot Mohammad, because he was just working on his land, and the situation was calm, and added that the man was very healthy, and always loved to work and plant the land.
“Our only problem is that our land is located near the border fence which was installed by Israel,” the son said, “They shot him for nothing — this was the first time that the soldiers open fire at us on our land…”
There were no protests near the border area when the soldiers shot the Palestinian man, and there was no reason for opening fire.
It is worth mentioning that the army frequently invades Palestinian lands located close to the border fence, and constantly opens fire at farmers and workers, in issue that led to dozens of casualties, including many fatalities. Video

He added that the soldiers also shot another Palestinian near Karni (Nahal Oz) crossing, east the Sheja’eyya neighborhood, in Gaza city.
Furthermore, the soldiers shot one Palestinian in both legs, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.
Three other Palestinians were also shot with live fire, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the coastal region.
The soldiers also fired a barrage of gas bombs at protesters in the al-Farahin area, and Abasan as-Sagheera, east of Khan Younis.
It is worth mentioning that protests were also held across the West Bank for the thirteenth consecutive week, since the American President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as a unified capital of Israel in direct violation of International Law and numerous United Nations resolutions.

Israeli navy gunboats on Thursday targeted Palestinian fishing vessels sailing off al-Sudaniya seashore, north of besieged Gaza Strip, with randomly-unleashed barrages of machinegun fire.
Israeli warships discharged machinegun bulletfire toward Palestinian fishing boats setting sail within the allowed six-nautical-mile zone and posing no threat to the occupation navy.
Palestinian fishermen in the blockaded Gaza Strip have been ceaselessly targeted by the Israeli navy on a quasi-daily basis as they put out to sea in the hunt for livelihoods to feed their families in the besieged enclave.
For thousands of Gazans, fishing is the only source of living in an area blockaded by the Israeli occupation from air, land, and sea for over a decade’s time.

On Thursday morning, several armored Israeli army vehicles, and bulldozers, carried out a limited invasion into Palestinian lands, southeast of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses said the military vehicles left the Sofa army base, across the border fence, and invaded Palestinian agricultural lands, east of the al-Fakhari town, northeast of Khan Younis, and started bulldozing sections near the fence.
They added that the soldiers fired many rounds of live ammunition, while military drones flew overhead.
The Israeli army carries out frequent invasion into Palestinian lands near the border fence, placed sand hills and bulldozes sections near the border fence, an issue that prevents the farmers from entering these areas, or even approach them.
In related news, Israeli navy ships opened fire on a number of Palestinian fishing boats, north of Gaza city, forcing the fishermen back to shore without being able to fish and provided for their families.

Several Israeli bulldozers entered into the “buffer zone” along the northern Gaza border, on Monday morning, where they razed lands under heavy military protection.
Locals told Ma’an News Agency that four Israeli military bulldozers raided lands in the town of Beit Lahiya.
As the bulldozers razed and leveled lands, military drones reportedly flew overhead.
Israeli military incursions inside the besieged Gaza Strip and near the “buffer zone,” which lies on both land and sea sides of Gaza, have long been a near-daily occurrence.
The Israeli army also regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds, and farmers along the border areas if they approach the buffer zone, as the authorities have not made clear the precise area of the designated zone.
The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural and fishing sector of the blockaded coastal enclave, which has been under an Israeli air, land, and sea blockade for 10 years.

Ismail Saleh abu-Riyaleh 18
The Israeli occupation navy shot dead, on Sunday evening, a Palestinian fishermen and wounded two others while they were fishing off the Gaza coast, Palestinian and Israeli sources said.
Head of Syndicate of Palestinian Fishermen Nizar Ayyash said that the three fishermen were aboard a fishing boat, on their way back to the port, when the Israeli gunboats opened fire at them.
“All of them were directly targeted,” he said, noting that all of them, including the one who was killed, were abducted by the navy.
While he did not know the reason why the Israeli occupation navy had opened fire on the men, Ayyash stressed that they did not cross the fishing limit defined by the Israeli occupation.
Ayyash identified the three fishermen as Mahmoud Adel abu-Riyaleh, Ahed Hassan abu-Riyaleh and Ismail Saleh abu-Riyaleh.
Meanwhile, according to Days of Palestine, an Israeli source claimed that the Israeli navy opened fire at the boat of the three fishermen after “violating” the fishing limits.
“The Israeli navy opened fire at the body of the boat, but they were wounded and one of them suffered serious injuries and passed away later on,” the Israeli source said.
According to the source, the two wounded fishermen were turned over to prison authorities, in order to be investigated.
The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) has said that all Israeli attacks on Palestinian fishermen have taken place within the distance of six nautical miles, which it said “proves that Israeli forces’ policies aim to tighten restrictions on the Gaza Strip’s fishermen and their livelihoods.”
Gaza fisherman killed, 2 injured in shooting attack by Israeli navy
A Palestinian fisherman was fatally shot and two others injured on Sunday after Israeli naval forces opened fire on a fishing boat despite sailing within the unilaterally designated fishing zone offshore al-Sudaniya area, north of Gaza city.
Israeli navy opened heavy fire on a Palestinian fishing boat carrying three fishermen, killing one of them and arresting the two others after critically injuring them, head of Gaza’s Fishermen Union, Nizar Ayyash, told the Palestinian Information Center.
Israeli army spokesperson claimed the boat exceeded the permitted area for fishing and came within the reach of the occupied Zikim coast, north of the blockaded Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military spokesman also denounced reports that two Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident.
He added that one fisherman was critically wounded and succumbed to his wounds shortly afterwards. The two other fishermen were transferred to hospitals for treatment before being dragged to detention centers for further questioning.

The Israeli army said it fired missiles into underground tunnels, run by armed resistance groups in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli sources said that a shell, which was fired from the coastal region, crashed in Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council, and claimed that one rocket struck a house in the area causing no damage or casualties.
On Sunday, four Israeli soldiers were injured, including two who suffered serious wounds, when an explosive device detained near their vehicle close to the border fence in southern Gaza.
The Israeli army then struck eighteen targets in the Gaza Strip, including six sites believed to be run by the al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, one of them reportedly a tunnel extending from the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza towards Israeli areas across the fence.
Also Sunday, two Palestinians, identified as Salem Mohammed Soliman Sabbah, 17, and ‘Abdullah Ayman Salim Irmeilat, 15, were killed by Israeli airstrikes in the city of Rafah.
