IOF incursion in Beit Hanoun, shooting in Rafah
Picture
Israeli bulldozers on Wednesday advanced a limited distance into the northern area of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza Strip.

According to eyewitness, four Israeli bulldozers, D9 type, advanced 50 meters in northern Beit Hanoun and started leveling land.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces in Sofa military site near the southern areas of the Gaza Strip opened fire towards agricultural lands, north of Rafah, with no injuries inflicted, local sources said.

Israeli forces target Palestinian farmers and shepherds near Gaza borders on a daily basis in violation of the calm agreement signed in Egypt in 2014.

Israeli Navy Opens Fire At Palestinian Fishing Boats In Gaza
Picture
Israeli navy ships fired, on Tuesday morning, several live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats, in Gaza territorial waters, close to the shore in the northern part of the besieged coastal region.

Eyewitnesses said the navy fired many rounds at the boats, close to the shore near Beit Lahia, causing property damage, and forcing the fishers back in fear of additional escalation.

The attack was part of a serious of ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinians, in the besieged Gaza Strip.

On Monday, the navy attacked fishing boats in Palestinian territorial waters, wounding one fisher, identified as Mohammad Sa’dallah.

Meanwhile, several Israeli military vehicles, including armored bulldozers, invaded Palestinian agricultural lands, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

Hamas: We will not allow continuation of Israeli escalation
Picture
Hamas Movement warned Monday evening that it would not “allow a continuation of Israeli escalation against the people of Gaza.”

Spokesman for the Movement Abdul Latif Qanua held the Israeli occupation authority responsible for its recent escalation and its serious repercussions.

Israel is trying to detract attention from its internal crisis by targeting the Gaza Strip, Qanua told the PIC reporter.

He pointed out that any response will be in concordance with Palestinian resistance factions.

Israeli forces resumed on Monday evening attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip, injuring at least three Palestinians, in a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling in various areas of the enclave.

Israeli army resumes attacks on Gaza
Picture
The Israeli occupation army on Monday evening targeted different areas of the Gaza Strip with renewed air raids and artillery shelling following a wave of similar attacks in the morning and afternoon.

According to a security official in Gaza, 19 air strikes were launched in the evening on Gaza, most of them to the east of al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood.

Israeli artillery units also intensively bombed east of al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood and al-Rayes Mount.

Air-to-ground missiles also hit a resistance post east of al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

In the central district of Gaza, a Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter said two artillery shells slammed into an empty plot of land east of al-Bureij refugee camp.

Earlier, three air strikes hit different sites in Gaza and three resistance posts east of the central district were bombarded with volleys of artillery shells. One elderly man suffered injuries in one of those attacks.

Several buildings also sustained considerable damage in aerial attacks on areas northeast and northwest of Gaza.

In the morning, the Israeli army pounded different resistance sites in Gaza in retaliation to an alleged rocket attack on the Ashkelon beach area, south of Israel.

Army Fires Shells At A Qassam Site In Northern Gaza
Picture
Israeli soldiers fired, Monday, two shells into a site run by the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The two shells landed in an open area, close to the “Palestine Camp,” causing minor damage without leading to any casualties.

The Israeli army issued a statement alleging that the attack was carried out in response to a shell that was fired from northern Gaza, and detonated in an open area in the “Eshkol Regional Council.”

Earlier Monday, Several Israeli military vehicles, including armored bulldozers, invaded Palestinian agricultural lands, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, while navy ships opened fire on fishing boats, in Palestinian territorial waters.

IDF: strikes on Gaza a response to last month’s events

IDF issues statement declaring that pounding of Hamas targets is a retaliation for last month’s events and Monday’s attacks from Gaza in which a rocket was fired at the Hof Ashkelon region of Israel, and Hamas forces opened fire on an IDF force working near the border fence; Netanyahu: ‘There’s no way that someone can shoot at us and we don’t respond.’

IDF tanks and aircraft destroyed a total of six Hamas positions throughout the day Monday, after a rocket was fired toward the Hof Ashkelon area in the morning and Hamas forces opened fire on an IDF force working near the Gaza border fence in the southern Gaza Strip in the evening.

According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, no damage or injuries were caused by the rocket. Forces were dispatched to the site of its landing to search for remnants.

Later in the day, in response to further Hamas small arms attacks on IDF forces operating near the border fence in the southern Gaza Strip, IDF tanks destroyed a Hamas observation post, bringing the total number of Hamas positions destroyed by the IDF on Monday to six.

Shortly afterwards, Palestinian sources reported that tanks fired two shells at a Hamas lookout post adjacent to Beit Lahiya on the Israel–Gaza border, which destroyed the post. The IDF confirmed the attack

Prime Minister Benjamin, who on Monday visited British Prime Minister Theresa May in London, commented on the heated border events.

“I have instructed in no uncertain terms that we will respond to all shooting with heavy fire. That has been my policy over the last two years, since Protective Edge…Out policy is consistent and determined in our response,” the prime minister said.

“There is no way that someone can shoot at us and we don’t respond. We cannot constantly absorb (hits) and overlook them.”

Several hours later, Israeli Air Force planes attacked three additional targets belonging to Hamas's armed wing east of Jabalia. The IDF confirmed that both the tank and aerial strikes were in response to the earlier rocket. Its Spokesperson's Unit commented, "The IDF considers the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for goings-on in the Gaza Strip."

By 8pm Monday, the IDF released another statement saying that the strikes were not only carried out in retaliation for the day's attacks from Gaza, but also for acts of aggression which have taken place over the course of the last month.

Israeli Army Carries Out A Limited Invasion, Navy Attacks Fishermen, In Gaza
Picture
Several Israeli military vehicles, including armored bulldozers, invaded Palestinian agricultural lands, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, while navy ships opened fire on fishing boats, in Palestinian territorial waters.

Media sources in Gaza said seven armored Israeli military vehicles, including three bulldozers, left the Kissufim army base, across the border fence, east of Deir al-Balah, and invaded Palestinian agricultural lands.

The sources said the vehicles advanced more than 150 meters into the agricultural lands, and bulldozed several sections, while surveillance drones hovered overhead.

Furthermore, Israeli navy ships fired many live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats less than four nautical miles from the shore, causing serious damage, and forcing the fishers away.

The latest attacks are part of daily violations against the Palestinians, their property and lands, in the besieged and impoverished coastal region.

Israeli forces fire at fishermen, farmers in the besieged Gaza Strip
Picture
Israeli forces opened fire towards Palestinian fishermen and farmers in separate incidents Sunday morning, local sources told Ma'an, with no injuries reported in either incident.

Israeli military vehicles stationed near the Sufa military post east of the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah fired with heavy machine guns towards Palestinian farmers who were tending their crops in the area, eyewitnesses said.

Meanwhile, in the northwestern Gaza Strip, Israeli navy ships fired at Palestinian fishermen off the coast of Beit Lahiya, forcing them to sail back to shore.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an they were looking into the reports.

Israeli army incursions inside the Palestinian territory have long been a near-daily occurrence, as the Israeli army regularly opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen and farmers along the border areas if they approach Israel’s unilaterally declared “buffer zone,” which lies on both the land and sea sides of Gaza.

The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural and fishing sector of the blockaded coastal enclave.

IOF targets Palestinians fishermen, farmers in Gaza
Picture
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday morning opened fire at Palestinian fishermen and farmers in Gaza Strip.

According to local sources, Israeli forces stationed along the eastern border of Gaza opened their machinegun fire at Palestinian farmers.

No injuries were reported during the shooting attack.

Meanwhile, Israeli war boats opened fire at a number of Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza.

The fishermen were forced to return ashore. Luckily, no one was injured in the assault.

Under an inhumane siege, the Israeli army keeps attacking, injuring and killing civilians, farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis, without any shred of respect for the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire deal in Gaza or even the international law.

Israeli forces shoot Palestinian teen as clashes erupt on Gaza-Israel border
Picture
Israeli forces Friday opened live ammunition during clashes with Palestinians near al-Bureij refugee on the eastern borders of the besieged Gaza Strip, injuring a 16-year-old Palestinian.

A spokesperson said that the 16-year-old was shot and injured in the stomach when clashes erupted between Israeli forces and Palestinian youth near the security border between the small Palestinian territory and Israel.

The youth was transferred to Shuhada Al-Aqsa hospital, the spokesperson added.

Israeli snipers were deployed on dirt mounds on the eastern borders of the besieged enclave during the clashes, and opened live fire at a group of more than 50 Palestinian youths.

According to a Ma’an reporter on the scene, the clashes were continuing as of 7 p.m. on Friday as Israeli forces have continued to shoot tear gas canisters into the Palestinian territory. A number of Palestinian ambulances are also reportedly on the scene.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an she would look into reports on the clashes.

The borders between Gaza and Israel are often the site of violent clashes as Palestinians in Gaza have continued to protest the decade-long Israeli-imposed siege on the small territory. Rights groups have pointed out that the siege has crippled Gaza’s economy, while the UN has warned that the enclave would become uninhabitable by 2020 if Israeli authorities continue their refusal to lift the blockade.

According to UN documentation, at least 178 Palestinians in Gaza were injured by Israeli forces in 2016, while eight Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces during this period, mainly during clashes with Israeli forces along the security barrier between the territory and Israel.

Israeli forces open fire on Gaza fishermen
Picture
Israeli naval forces opened fire on Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of the northern Gaza Strip Friday morning.

Witnesses reported that gunshots were heard early Friday morning in northern Gaza as Israeli boats opened fire at fishermen off the coast of al-Sudaniya.

No injuries were reported and fishermen were forced to flee back to shore.

An Israeli army spokesperson said they were looking into reports.
