Amidst tear-gas and live bullets, Razan Al-Najjar infiltrates into the crowds wearing her white robe, to provide them with the necessary treatment after inhaling the toxic gases fired at them by the Israeli military.
Razan Al-Najjar, a 20-year-old volunteer, bravely advances amongst the demonstrators at the eastern border of Khan Younis province in the southern Gaza Strip to provide treatment for the wounded.
Al-Najjar is a field volunteer from the Ministry of Health who, along with a number of her colleagues, provide first aid for young people who take part in the Great March of Return (GMR) near Khuza'a to the east of Khan Younis, since the beginning of the GMR.
Yet, the bullets of the Israeli soldiers ended her volunteer work. She was shot dead by an Israeli sniper in eastern Khan Younis.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Ashraf al-Qedra, said that “Palestine today bids farewell to the martyr of humanitarian work Razan Ashraf al-Najjar, who did not leave her work during the Great March of Return until she was shot dead to the east of Khan Younis.”
As soon as young men carry one of the wounded, al-Najjar, accompanied by her colleagues, used to rush to give him first aid before being transferred by ambulance to the nearest hospital.
During her work, al-Najjar repeatedly suffered from the effects of teargas due to the intense firing of teargas canisters by the Israeli army.
In a previous interview with the PIC, al-Najjar said that she chose this mission because she cherishes serving people “who clash with the occupation soldiers”.
She pointed out that she volunteered to help and provide aid to the victims of the Israeli shooting at participants in the Great March of Return called for by the Supreme National Committee for Return and Breaking the Siege.
Al-Najjar persisted in serving her people using the very simple potentials she had along with her volunteer friends until her martyrdom.

The United States has used its veto power, Friday, against a draft resolution at the United Nations, calling for providing protection to the Palestinian People, living under illegal Israeli occupation.
The Veto came after the resolution was backed by 10 counties at the UN Security Council.
The resolution was sponsored by Kuwait; it requires nine votes to be adopted by the 15-member council, and was voted for by ten countries, including Russia, China and France.
Four counties, including Britain, abstained while the United States, the only country that opposed it, used its Veto power to topple the resolution.
The draft resolution denounced the Israeli military escalation against the Palestinian people, and the use of “excessive, disproportionate and indiscriminate force” by the army, and also criticized the “firing of shells from Gaza into civilian areas in Israel.”
Nikki Haley, the United States Envoy to the United Nations, said Washington rejects the resolution because it represents “support of Hamas,” while the Kuwaiti Envoy Mansour al-Qtaibi, said rejecting the resolution reveals that Israel is a state that considers itself above International Law, with direct U.S. support.
It is worth mentioning that the UN Security Council also rejected a draft resolution presented by the United States “condemning Hamas,” and holding its responsible for the escalation in Gaza; the United states was the only country that voted for its own draft.
The Permanent Palestinian Representative at the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, said the Palestinians reject the US amendment to the Kuwaiti draft, because was hostile to the Palestinian people, and only aims at protecting Israel.
Meanwhile in Gaza, Israeli soldiers killed, Friday, a young Palestinian woman, identified as Razan Ashraf Najjar, 22, who worked as a volunteer medic with the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, and injured 100 Palestinians, including 40 with live fire.
Her death brings the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli army fire in the Gaza Strip since March 30th, to 119, including 13 children, while more than 13400 have been injured, including 330 who suffered life-threatening wounds.

Permanent Palestinian Envoy to the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, said the Palestinians reject the American-modified proposal for providing international protection to the Palestinian people, adding that the American revision is utterly hostile to the Palestinians.
On Friday at dawn, Mansour told the Palestinian TV that the United States is pressuring the United Nations Security Council to delay the vote on the proposal after seeking to amend and alter it.
The original proposal was submitted by Kuwait, which is currently a non-permanent Security Council member.
Kuwait later circulated an edited draft of the same proposal for an International Protection Mission, reportedly to gain the support of European counties and other states that are members of the Security Council.
However, late on Thursday evening, it was announced that the Security Council postponed the vote on the proposal because the United States wanted to modify and alter it.
Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi, the Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the United Nations, said the United States provided its edited version very late, “But we still have to discuss these changes.”
Instead for calling for an international protection mission, the United States’ version called on the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, to submit “recommendations,” and asks for completing the report within 60 days.
Meanwhile, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, said her country will use it Veto power to topple the Kuwaiti proposal for providing international protection to the Palestinian people.
In his interview with Palestine TV, Mansour said the proposal’s essence is about providing protection to the Palestinian people, living under Israeli occupation, and added that he hopes “the United States won’t obstruct it.”
“If the United States topples and obstructs this proposal, then we have other options, including heading to the General Assembly,” he added.
Danny Danon, the Israeli Ambassador to the UN, attacked the Kuwaiti proposal, described it as “shameful,” and alleged that it was “only meant to support Hamas.”

According to the spokesperson, Israeli warplanes destroyed sites affiliated with the Hamas movement, in order to weaken the its investment needed to develop weapons.
One of the targets was a “kites storage unit for Hamas,” which the army said “is used to carry out terrorist operations.”
The army spokesperson also said that they targeted a Hamas naval forces site, destroying a large portion of its accessories and manufacturing machines.
“In addition, most of the Islamic Jihad’s naval force sites were destroyed. These sites are used for training on advanced weapons to carry out terrorist acts against Israel.”
Israel claims that Gazans are using kite planes to burn farms and fields in the Gaza enclave since the start of the Great March of Return on 30 March, 2018. Since then, over 115 peaceful protesters in Gaza have been killed by Israeli fire.

Morocco-based groups have launched calls for officially criminalizing all forms of normalization with the Israeli occupation.
A joint Saturday statement issued by pro-Palestine political bodies, trade unions, and youth organizations in Tangier, north of Morocco, said normalization with Israel amounts to an act of normalization with systematic state terrorism, occupation, and horrendous criminality.”
The statement strongly condemned the US President Donald Trump’s decision to transfer his country’s embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Occupied Jerusalem.
It dubbed such a move another chain in a series of plots aiming to liquidate the Palestinian cause and stir the wrath of one billion and a half Muslims around the globe.
The groups stressed their unconditional support for the Great March of Return protests, which they believe have come in response to Israel’s Trump-backed terrorism against the Palestinians and their holy sites.
The statement urged the Moroccan masses in Tangier to join a rally set to be staged on Sunday in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
