A Palestinian fisherman has been proclaimed dead after he was admitted to hospital on Friday following an Israeli naval attack on his boat off the coast of Gaza.
The fisherman was along with his brother when the Israeli navy opened fire at them seriously wounding them, according to Palestinian medical sources and eyewitnesses.
Both sustained serious injuries during the deadly attack, but one of the brothers named Fahmi Abu Rayyash, 22, succumbed to his wounds and died later on the same days at night.
The Israeli navy prevents the Palestinian fishermen from fishing within an area more than three nautical miles, although the Oslo agreement stipulates 20 nautical miles for fishing.
Palestinian fisherman succumbs to wounds sustained earlier
Medical sources announced the death of fisherman Fahmi Salah Abu Rayash, 22, on Saturday night, from wounds he sustained after being shot by Israeli occupation forces on Friday morning.
The Israeli gunboats opened fire, on Friday, towards a Palestinian small fishing boat sailing off the coast of Beit Lahiya, wounding two brothers who had been fishing on the boat.
The two fishermen were taken to hospital for treatment. Dr. Ashraf al-Kodra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said that one of two brothers who had been wounded died of his serious injuries.
The Zionist navy shoots and arrests all Palestinian fishermen who sail more than three nautical miles, although the Oslo agreement allows them to sail 20 nautical miles.

Egypt jihadi group says behind deadly Israeli border attack
An Islamist militant group based in Egypt's Sinai has claimed responsibility for a cross-border attack that killed an Israeli soldier in the restive peninsula where jihadi groups have gained a foothold.
Three gunmen were also killed in Friday's attack, which the group Ansar Bayt al-Maqdes said was in response to an anti-Islam film that has sparked worldwide protests and violence. A second Israeli soldier was wounded in the attack.
There have been at least four such cross-border raids in just over a year in the area where security lapsed after the uprising that overthrew Hosni Mubarak last year.
Egypt's army and police launched a security sweep after a raid that killed 16 Egyptian border guards in August.
In a statement on an Internet site often used by jihadi groups, Ansar Bayt al-Maqdes said it had named the operation as an "attack to discipline those insulting the beloved Prophet", a reference to the film that mocked Prophet Muhammad.
The group accused Jews of involvement in the film, but did not explain how. Though the film was made in the United States, Israel is often viewed by militants as a proxy agent for US policy in the region because it is a close ally of Washington.
CNN reported that Jewish groups denied some reported allegations that there was any Jewish backing for the film.
The US government has condemned the film and said it had no role in it, but said it could not act against the production because of its commitment to freedom of expression.
Many Muslims view any portrayal of the Prophet as blasphemous.
Ansar Bayt al-Maqdes, which means "supporters of the holy place", a reference to Jerusalem, pledged to carry out another operation, at an unspecified time, in revenge for what it said was the killing of a member in Sinai with the help of Israel.
Egyptian authorities had said the death of Ibrahim Oweidah in September was due to a landmine accident, but locals blamed Bedouins for accompanying Israeli Mossad agents into Sinai to kill him, according to Egyptian intelligence reports.
The group has previously claimed an attack on a pipeline delivering gas to Israel and rocket attacks targeting Israel.

An Egyptian security source told Ma’an that Israeli and Egyptian military commanders met to exchange information and make security arrangements for future. After that the bodies were delivered to Egypt.
The source highlighted that one of the person's remains was dismembered as a result of an explosive belt around the operative's body. The other two bodies were identifiable.
According to the source, the meeting between Egyptian and Israeli commanders was positive and both sides were cooperative and reflected a high level of security cooperation.
Israeli troops killed three militants along the Israel-Egypt border on Friday, and an Israeli soldier also died in the exchange of fire, the army said.
A group of militants entered Israel through a gap in fence construction halfway down the border and opened fire on Israeli soldiers, an army spokesman said. A nearby patrol returned fire, killing three people, he said.

Israeli soldiers kill three in Egypt border clashes

An injured Israeli soldier is wheeled into a hospital on September 21, 2012, following an exchange of fire with armed men on Egypt border
Israeli soldiers have killed at least three people after they clashed with armed men on the Egyptian border, Israeli media said.
One Israeli soldier was also killed and another injured in the clashes that took place near Mount Harif on Friday.
Israeli military sources say the violence erupted after unidentified gunmen, who sneaked across the Egyptian border, opened fire on an Israeli military patrol at a point where work is under way to complete the new security fence.
"They opened fire toward IDF (army) troops ... in that area. Another force that was nearby... rushed to the area and targeted those three terrorists," army spokeswoman Lieutenant Colonel Avital Leibovich told reporters adding that all three assailants have been killed.
She, however, declined immediate comment on reports of Israeli casualties.
Armed groups have launched several attacks on Israeli troops from the Egypt's Sinai peninsula since the overthrow of Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak.
On August 2011, at least eight Israelis were killed after a group of gunmen from Sinai infiltrated southern Israel and staged a series of ambushes.
Also on June 18, at least three gunmen sneaked across the border from Sinai and ambushed two cars carrying Israeli construction workers, killing one and sparking a firefight with the army in which two of the gunmen died.

An Egyptian security source said one of the gunmen died when a bomb he was carrying detonated and the other two were killed in a gunbattle with Israeli forces, adding that the nationalities of the gunmen were not immediately clear.
Egyptian security forces took control of the area and deployed soldiers, a Ma'an correspondent said. They asked Israeli forces there to refrain from firing toward Egyptian territory.
Meanwhile an Egyptian army delegation met with Israeli forces near the border to check the bodies of those who were killed, and asked Israel to hand them over.
"The Egyptian authorities received an urgent notice from the Israeli side" before the militants were killed, the reporter explained.
He added that security forces in the northern Sinai say they received information about an impending attack.

Palestinian medics wheel a body into a hospital following an Israeli airstrike on the town of Rafah in the Gaza Strip
At least three Palestinians have been killed and another injured in an Israeli assassination drone attack on the besieged Gaza Strip, Press TV reports.
The unmanned aircraft hit a car in the southern town of Rafah close to the Egyptian border late on Wednesday, a Press TV correspondent reported.
Two of the victims have been identified as Ashraf Saleh, 25, and Anis Abu al-Ainain, 26.
The Israeli military frequently bombs the Gaza Strip, saying the actions are being conducted for defensive purposes. However, disproportionate force is always used, in violation of international law, and civilians are often killed or injured.
Gaza has been blockaded since 2007, which is a situation that has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.

Anees Abu al-Aynaen 22 Two Palestinian men were killed Wednesday when Israeli military forces shelled the al-Janeneh neighborhood in eastern Gaza, officials said Thursday. Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesman of Gaza health ministry, told Ma’an that ambulances transferred the dead and injured to Abu Yousef al-Najjar hospital in Rafah. Israeli military aircraft forces shelled a car and killed Ashraf Salah, 38, and Anees Abu al-Aynaen, 22, who worked in the security forces of the Hamas government, locals told Ma'an. The two Palestinians were on official business to secure the southern border between Gaza and Egypt, the Gaza interior ministry said. The attack betrayed Israel's intentions toward Gaza and confirmed its plans to implement wide-scale operations, the ministry said. The Israeli military said the attack targeted two "terror operatives" affiliated with a group called "Defenders of al-Aqsa" in the southern Gaza Strip. It said one of the operatives, Anis Abu Mahmoud el-Anin, was in the final stages of preparing to carry out an attack against Israeli civilians. It said Ashraf Mahmoud Salah was a member of the Popular Resistance Committees who had admitted in the past to transferring two people into Egypt to attack Israel. "The IDF will not tolerate any attempt by terrorist groups to harm Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers, and will continue to operate with strength and determination against those who use terror against the State of Israel," the statement added. Two Palestinians Assassinated In Gaza Two Palestinians were assassinated, on Wednesday at night, when an Israeli drone fired a missile at a Palestinian car driving near Abu Taha Fuel Station, in the center of Rafah city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. At least two residents were injured, one seriously. Medical sources reported that the two slain residents were identified as Ashfar Saleh and Anus Abu Al-Einein. One of the wounded residents is currently in a serious condition at the Gaza European Hospital, the sources added. The Israeli missiles also led to extensive damages to nearby buildings. Local sources reported that Israeli drones and war jets were heard and seen flying over the coastal region, an issue that raised concerns among the civilians of further attacks. Several resistance groups in the coastal regions vowed retaliation for the assassination. East Jerusalemite charged with causing death of Palestinian he tried to smuggle into Israel
East Jerusalemite charged with causing death of Palestinian he tried to smuggle into Israel

Hassan Badea al-Taber 46, the worker, who was shot and wounded by border policeman at a roadblock, subsequently died of his wounds.
An East Jerusalem man was charged yesterday in Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court with causing the death of an illegal worker he was trying to smuggle from the Palestinian Authority areas into Israel six weeks ago.
The worker, who was shot and wounded by border policeman at a roadblock, subsequently died of his wounds.
The incident occurred at the end of July. According to the charge sheet, the accused, Jaber Hamada, 22, of Ras al-Amud, was driving along the road that connects Ma’aleh Adumim with Jerusalem, carrying with him in his van several laborers who do not have permits to work in Israel. To reach Israeli territory he had to cross the Al-Aza’im checkpoint, near the village of the same name.
According to the indictment, the border policemen at the checkpoint signaled him to stop for a routine security check. When he saw that the policemen wanted him to stop, Hamada made a sharp U-turn in an effort to flee into the village of Al-Aza’im.
Sgt. Major Baruch Nahmias, the investigator on the case for the Judea and Samaria Police, said that while trying to flee, Jabar tried to run over the policemen and security guards at the checkpoint.
The policemen signaled him to stop, but he continued driving, the indictment said. The policemen and security guards thus fired on the fleeing vehicle. Hamada and two of the Palestinians with him were wounded.
According to the indictment, Hamada stopped his vehicle, pulled the wounded men out of it and laid them at the side of the road, then continued to speed ahead.
The two wounded men were evacuated to Hadassah-University Hospital at Ein Kerem, where one of them died.
The Justice Ministry’s department for the investigation of police officers probed the incident, and found that the policemen involved had acted properly.
Police, searching for the driver, found that Hamada was the registered owner of the vehicle and that he had sought medical care at Makassed Hospital in East Jerusalem. Several days after the incident he was arrested at one of the checkpoints around Jerusalem.
Hamada denied all the allegations, saying that not only wasn’t he driving the vehicle, he wasn’t in it during the incident. When asked how he had been wounded, he claimed he had been standing at the side of the road and was in the line of fire.
But Nahmias told the court that the son of the deceased worker, who often accompanied his father in the attempts to sneak into Israel, identified Hamada in a line-up and confirmed that Hamada had smuggled them into Israel several times so they could find work.
Hamada’s lawyer, attorney David Amar, noted that no one could confirm that Hamada had been driving the vehicle during the incident. But during the remand hearing last Wednesday, Judge Yitzhak Shimoni noted that Hamada had given three contradictory versions of what had happened on the day in question, including a claim that he couldn’t have been driving the vehicle because he’d sold it, which was disproved by the police.
Hamada was thus charged yesterday with attempted smuggling of illegal workers and causing death by negligence.
