The Israeli occupation forces took the measurements of the home of the Palestinian Mukhmara family in al-Khalil’s town of Yatta, paving the way for its demolition, in the second such move after it was reconstructed by the family.
According to the Israeli Yedioth Aharonot daily, Israeli soldiers took the measurements of the family home of Khaled and Mohamed Mukhamra, who carried out an anti-occupation shooting attack in Sarona Mall, in Tel Aviv, in June 2016.
The family reconstructed the building after it had been knocked down by the Israeli occupation army in August 2016.

Court also orders each to pay NIS 2.6m in restitution; separately, Palestinian assailant gets 30 years for Ma’ale Adumim ax attack
A Tel Aviv court on Wednesday sentenced three Palestinians to life in prison for a terror attack in June 2016 at Tel Aviv’s Sarona Market.
The three — Muhammad and Khalid Muhamra of the southern West Bank town of Yatta, who carried out the shooting spree, and their neighbor Younis Ayash Musa Zayn, who drove them to a storage unit where they prepared the attack — were convicted in late October on four counts of murder, 41 counts of attempted murder and conspiracy.
The Tel Aviv District Court handed down four consecutive life sentences and 60 additional years in prison to each man, and ordered each to pay NIS 258,000 per family to the four families of those killed in the attack, NIS 200,000 per family to the four families of those who were seriously wounded, and NIS 20,000 to each of the 37 people who were lightly wounded in the attack — a total of NIS 2.6 million (some $750,000) for each attacker.
On June 8, 2016, at 9:30 p.m., the two Muhamra cousins, dressed in suits and just after ordering their dessert, opened fire on diners at the Max Brenner restaurant in the upscale Sarona compound, killing three people in the hail of bullets — Michael Feige, Ido Ben Ari and Mila Mishayev — and a fourth, Ilana Naveh, who collapsed and died while attempting to flee. Another 41 people were wounded, four of them sustaining serious and permanent physical disability.
The cousins, who fled after the shooting, were found and apprehended in an ensuing police manhunt. Zayn was picked up a short while later for assisting them.
The judges in the case were divided on Zayn’s involvement. The majority opinion of District Court judges Sarah Dotan and Yaron Levy held that Zayn had a key role in carrying out the attack, and so could be held responsible for its results, while the minority view of judge Mordechai Levy held that Zayn should be convicted and punished only as an accessory.
An investigation by security forces later revealed the attackers had entered Israel illegally through a hole in the West Bank security fence.
The Shin Bet security agency said the cousins were “inspired” by the Islamic State terror group.
In August 2016, the Israel Defense Forces demolished the homes of Muhammad and Khalid Muhamra. The army also sealed off Zayn’s bedroom in his family home in November 2016.
Separately, the Judea Military Court handed down a 30-year prison sentence to Saadi Ali Abu Ahmad for an ax attack against a mall security guard, Tzvi Cohen, in the Ma’ale Adumim settlement on February 26, 2016. The court also ordered Abu Ahmad to pay Cohen NIS 200,000.
Abu Ahmad was convicted on July 2, 2017. According to the indictment, Abu Ahmad, who worked at the Ma’ale Adumim mall, decided on the morning of February 26, 2016, to go to the mall in order to murder Jews with an ax.
Cohen, an unarmed security guard at the mall, opened the door to his office to Abu Ahmad after recognizing him as an employee. When Cohen’s back was turned, Abu Ahmad leaped at the guard and smashed the ax into his neck. Cohen collapsed on the ground, and Abu Ahmad continued hitting him with the ax while he lay prostrate on the ground. At one point, Abu Ahmad dropped his ax, but then picked it up again and went back to repeatedly slash at Cohen, who lay quivering on the ground.
Unsatisfied with his attack, Abu Ahmad then went in search of a gun to shoot Cohen, but found only the guard’s pepper spray. He sprayed Cohen in the eyes and mouth, hoping to cause pain and even asphyxiation. Before leaving, Abu Ahmad took Cohen’s car keys and removed the battery from Cohen’s cellphone.
Cohen was found by a passerby, who called police. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, and spent six months healing from his wounds. He remains severely disabled.
Abu Ahmad fled the scene, but turned himself in a few days later at the urging of his family. Police officials said at the time that family members may have turned Abu Ahmad in to avert the demolition of their home.
Cohen’s family blasted the military court ruling on Wednesday.
“This is a scandalous decision. He should have gotten a life sentence,” brother Moshe told Channel 10. “My brother is a broken man. He’s been suffering ever since the incident.”

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Thursday knocked down the homes of the two prisoners Khaled and Muhammad Makhamreh in al-Khalil’s southern town of Yatta.
The Israeli army troops cordoned off the family home of prisoner Khaled Makhamreh, sparking clashes with Palestinian locals.
Shortly afterwards, an Israeli army bulldozer started the demolition, reducing the home to mounds of rubble in the blink of an eye.
The IOF further blew up the home of Khaled’s cousin, Muhammad, with bombs planted in the building. Hundreds of Israeli occupation soldiers cordoned off Yatta’s residential neighborhoods before carrying out the demolitions.
Prisoners Makhamreh carried out an anti-occupation shooting attack in Tel Aviv on June 8, killing four Israeli settlers residing in illegal settlement outposts built in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli Supreme Court ruled for the partial demolition of the family home of the slain Palestinian youth Muhammad al-Tarayreh, who carried out an anti-occupation stabbing in the illegal Kiryat Araba settlement last month.
The Israeli court ordered the demolition of the second floor of Tarayreh’s family home, paying no heed to an appeal filed by the family to cancel the demolition order. Muhammad Tarayreh was fatally shot by the Israeli occupation army following the anti-occupation attack.

The Israeli High Court ruled for the misappropriation of 100 dunums of Palestinian lands in al-Khalil’s southern town of Yatta, in the southern occupied West Bank.
Coordinator for the local anti-settlement committee, Rateb al-Jabour, said the Israeli Supreme Court turned down an appeal filed by the Palestinian citizen Hussein al-Hamamdeh to cancel the confiscation order.
The Israeli court claimed the targeted lands are abandoned tracts and that the occupation authorities have the right to seize them in favor of Israeli settlers.
Land expert Abdul Hadi Hantash said the Israeli occupation authorities have held sway over one million and 300,000 dunums of Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank and registered them as “state property” under the pretext that they are abandoned.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Yatta and a human rights group have petitioned the High Court of Justice in order to have the army lift the blockade imposed on the West Bank town of Yatta.
The closure was imposed on June 9 after it was found that the perpetrators of the anti-occupation attack on the Sarona Market in Tel Aviv had come from Yatta.
A court rule is expected to be issued Wednesday over the appeal. The army initially completely blocked off all 12 entrances and exits from the town before they opened them a few days later.
On July 2 and following an anti-occupation shooting attack near Road 60, the army reimposed a cordon on the area and blockaded Palestinians’ movement in and out.
A home to 70,000 Palestinians, Yatta has been subjected to a tough blockade. Civilians could not reach hospitals while others failed to get to their workplaces as a result of the closure.

On Tuesday, several Israeli military vehicles, including combat engineering corps, invaded Yatta town, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and took measures of a home of a political prisoner, in preparation for demolishing it.
Rateb Jabour, the coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Colonies in southern Hebron, told the WAFA Palestinian News Agency that the soldiers invaded the family home of detainee Younis Ayesh Mousa Zeid, 22, and verbally informed the family of their intention to demolish it at a later time.
Soldiers of the combat engineering corps took measures of the property, in addition to photographing it from various directions.
It is worth mentioning that the army accuses Ayesh of aiding Palestinians who carried out a shooting attack in Tel Aviv, last June.

Three terrorists who carried out deadly Saron Market attack
Investigation reveals that a third terrorist was supposed to participate in the attack; They orginially intended commit attack on train, intended to stab Israelis with knives covered in rat poison.
An indictment was issued on Monday against Mohammad Mahmara and Khaled Mahmara, the terrorists who killed four people in Tel Aviv’s Sarona market last month.
According to the indictment, a third terrorist was supposed to participate in the attack which originally consisted of an elaborate scheme according to which the three planned to open fire inside a train and cause mass murder.
The three stand accused of murder and other crimes.
The investigation by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) revealed that the 21-year-old terrorists from the town of Yatta, located south of Hebron, were inspired by Islamic State to commit the attack which killed Ido Ben-Ari, 42, from Ramat Gan; Ilana Nave, 39, from Tel Aviv; Dr. Michael Feige, 58 from Midreshet Ben-Gurion; and Mila Mishayev, 32, from Rishon LeZion.
In the indictment handed down, it was written that the two turned to their friend, Ayash Musa Zayn, also a resident of Yatta, with the intent of carrying out the attack. They planned to carry it out on a train and therefore went about gathering information about timetables, journey routes, entrances and exits, gateways and numbers of passengers passing through different stations. They came to the decision to carry out the attack against passengers travelling from Tel Aviv to Haifa.
As part of the attack, the two purchased 30cm knives. They also purchased suits, watches, leather bags, shoes and glasses at the cost of 2,600 shekels. Additionally, they bought rat poison to spread on the knives which would then be used to stab Israelis and maximize the damage caused. In total, the two spent 4,000 shekels on their grizzly plan. However, for the two prevented Zayn from participating in the attack as he had financial debt, a fact which according to Islamic doctrine precludes the possibility of an individual becoming a Sahid. (martyr)
They went to shooting practice to make sure that their weapons worked and hid them with Zayn along with the ammunition, the knives the poison and the other materials purchased for the attack. The decision to attack Sarona was unplanned and taken the same day as the attack.
The day of the attack, the two terrorists entered Israel through a break in the seam line used to smuggle illegals, in the Metzadot Yehudah area in the southern Hebron Hills. They were assisted by Salim Mognam, 23, also a resident of Yatta, who has also been arrested as an accomplice. After infiltrating into Israel, they stayed in an apartment in Segev Shalom that is used by illegals ad prepared to set out for Tel Aviv. From there, the two travelled to Be’er Sheva on bus line 53.
After a few hours of making the final preparations for the attack, the two made their way to the train station but decided to abort the plan due to the meticulous security checks being conducted at the entrance. At this point, the two flagged down a cab and resolved to carry out the attack at a different location, albeit it no less crowded. During the investigation, they confessed that they dressed in suits in order to pass for businessmen or lawyers.
Alighting the cab at HaShalom train station in Tel Aviv, the two made inquiries as to the whereabouts of popular restaurants or coffee shops before making their way to Max Brenner dessert restaurant. Shortly after 9:00pm, they began firing the first shots of their infamous assault. One was eventually shot by security forces and moderately injured while the other posed as a civilian and took refuge in a family home before being discovered by a policeman, his wife narrowly escaping being murdered herself.
Last year, Mohammad spent a significant period of time studying in Jordan where he was influenced by inciting content by ISIS. The decision to carry out the attack was taken after his return to south Hebron in January 2016. However, there was no evidence that either terrorist was sent by ISIS but rather carried out an independent attack.
Ten residents of Yatta were also detained on suspicion of involvement in manufacturing and trafficking in weapons and in transporting the terrorists into Israel.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Sunday kidnapped 14 Palestinians, including two women, during campaigns in different West Bank areas.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS), four young men, including a minor, were taken prisoners during raids on homes in areas in Ramallah and Bireh provinces.
The detainees were identified as Atta Arhimi, Muaad Abu Samra and the brothers Walid and Baker Tawfiq.
In Occupied Jerusalem, Israeli soldiers stormed al-Eizariya town and kidnapped two women identified as Sabah Feraun, a mother of four children, and Shirin al-Bassah from their homes.
During their campaign in the town, the occupation troops clashed with angry local young men and showered them with gas grenades before withdrawing from the area.
The IOF also carried out dawn raids on homes in Nazlat Isa village, north of Tulkarem, and kidnapped one young man named Obaidah Abdullah.
In al-Khalil, the IOF took measurements of a Palestinian house belonging to the family of prisoner Mohamed Makhamreh, who carried out with his cousin a recent shooting attack in Tel Aviv, as a prelude to demolishing it or pouring concrete into its rooms.
The IOF also ransacked a home in Sa'ir town, north of al-Khalil, and interrogated its residents without making arrests. However, three citizens were taken prisoners during IOF raids on other homes in the same town.
Last night, the IOF rounded up three Palestinian young men, including two brothers, at Za'atara checkpoint south of Nablus after they were allegedly found in possession of a weapon inside their vehicle. In addition, another young man identified as Khader Jawdeh, from Aida refugee camp, was kidnapped last night at an Israeli military checkpoint at the western entrance to Beit Jala town, north of Bethlehem.
21 Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF during the last two days, according to the PPS.
