Boars released by Israeli settlers from Ariel settlement attacked an elderly Palestinian farmer, 70-year-old Ahmad Ad-Dims, while he was heading to his olive groves near the separation wall in northern Salfit on Sunday.
The farmer said that a huge boar attacked him while en route to his fields at Wadi An-Najjar and he fell off his horse.
He added that the boars were hiding amidst oak trees. When Ad-Dims approached, one of them attacked him. He sustained wounds in his neck and back and he was unable to tend his field because of pain in his spine, he said.

Israeli forces violently broke up a peaceful demonstration against the construction of the Israeli separation wall in the West Bank village of Nil'in, near Ramallah, on Sunday, shooting a foreign cameraman with a rubber-coated metal bullet.
Three protesters were injured. The coordinator of Ni'lin's popular committee against the wall, Salah Al-Khawaja identified the arrestees as 'Ahid Al-Khawaja, Ibrahim 'Amira and an unnamed foreign solidarity activist.
Al-Khawaja explained that his committee organized the rally in attempt to stop work on the wall. Farmers from the town lay on the ground in their fields to stop Israeli bulldozers from digging up the fields and erecting the wall. According to Al-Khawaja, the farmers succeeded to stop the work for one hour. He said bulldozers have uprooted 90 trees in the village in just three days.
He added that the foreign and Israeli solidarity activists participated in the rally along with local residents using mirrors to reflect sunlight at the Israeli soldiers who in return fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at the protestors.
The Israeli barrier snakes through the West Bank, isolating Jerusalem from other Palestinian cities and often separates Palestinians from their own privately-held land. In 2004, the International Court of Justice declared the wall illegal under international law.

Two other Al-Qassam Brigades' fighters were injured in another Israeli tank attack on the same neighborhood.
Hamas fighter mourned in Gaza
Hundreds of Palestinians marched in the funeral procession of a Hamas-affiliated fighter, 21-year-old Bilal Sharabasi, who was killed by Israeli tank fire in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of Gaza City on Sunday.
Hamas said in a statement that Sharabasi was killed while he was guarding the Gazan border along with a group of fighters. The statement added that Hamas would continue resisting Israeli occupation despite threats by Israeli leaders to undertake a major military operation in Gaza.
The statement dismissed these threats as "a gesture of failure." The Israeli Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Foreign Minister are meeting on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of an escalation of attacks on the Gaza Strip aimed at stopping the launch of homemade projectiles into Israeli territory.
Hamas also called on all Palestinian factions to close ranks and unite in the face of the "enemy." The statement affirmed that those who impose the crippling siege on the Gaza Strip would pay a price.

Israeli political sources are reporting that Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak is considering a large-scale military attack on the Gaza Strip before a truce with Palestinian groups can be achieved.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak will meet on Tuesday with Barak and with Foreign Minister Livni to discuss a possible offensive on Gaza, Israeli radio reported.
On Thursday, Barak is scheduled to meet with Egyptian officials to gauge Hamas' willingness to enter into a truce with Israel. Israeli political sources stressed that Barak will give the green light to an escalation in Gaza if he is not convinced by Hamas' response to an Egyptian ceasefire proposal.
The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Aronoth reported that Israel's military is prepared for the potential assault.

A member of the central command of the Popular Resistance Committees, Haj Zuhier Al-Qaisi, accused Israel of waging a "psychological war" aimed at wearing down the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
Al-Qaisi, who also goes by his nom de guerre "Abu Ibrahim" said that "the Israeli attacks did not stop since the first moment of establishment of Israel and after the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967 until the recent killing of the child Aya An-Najjar in Khan Younis few days ago."
Four-year-old An-Najjar was killed in an Israeli air strike on Thursday.
Abu Ibrahim affirmed that "The resistance will go on with its project of ending the occupation. Resistance is the only language that harms occupation and paralyzes its objectives. It is the word that expresses the steadfastness on principles whatsoever the offensive is."
He called for "Empowering the unity of the Palestinians and supporting their resistance to confront the Israeli plans and to heal the rift [among Palestinian factions]."
He praised Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' call for dialogue, and Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh's positive response. He called these leaders' overtures towards unity a step towards "saving the reality of the Palestinian community from a very dangerous crisis."

Israeli soldiers arrest Palestinian protester in Bil'in
Dozens of Palestinian, Israeli, and international protesters participating in a peaceful march in Bil'in were hurt when Israeli forces responded with massive amounts of tear gas and rubber-coated bullets on Friday afternoon. The protest against the separation wall was the closing event of the Third Annual Conference on Nonviolent Resistance, held in the village of Bil'in, west of Ramallah, over the past three days.
The conference was attended by more than 300 people, including Palestinians, Israeli activists, and foreign nationals.
During the protest on Friday, Bil'in residents, popular resistance activists, Palestinian and European parliamentarians, and foreign and Israeli activists marched towards the separation wall in Bil'in, which confiscates most of the village's land. Israeli troops fired tear gas, sound bombs, and rubber-coated bullets towards the protesters.
Dozens were treated for tear gas inhalation, including Vice President of the European Parliament Luisa Morgantini and Irish peace activist and Nobel prize laureate Mairead Corrigan-Maguire. Italian judge Julio Tuscano was injured after being hit in the head by a tear gas grenade, and was transferred to Al-Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Ramallah. Abdullah Abu Rahma, coordinator of the local popular committee, was also lightly injured.
Members of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) including Dr Mustafa Al-Barghouthi, Qais Abu Leila, Muhib 'Awad, and Walid Assaf also participated in the march and suffered from tear gas inhalation.
In comments to the conference participants before the march, Al-Barghouthi affirmed that Israeli aggression will not stop the Palestinian popular struggle against the Israeli occupation and the separation wall.
In September 2007, the Israeli Supreme Court ordered the government to change the route of the separation wall in Bil'in so that the villagers would have access to their land. The Israeli authorities have not begun to implement the ruling, and the Israeli military has argued it cannot change the route for 'security reasons.'
Iyad Bournat, a member of the popular committee in Bil'in, told Ma'an that the conference and the march had been a success despite the harsh response of the Israeli forces, and affirmed that the villagers' nonviolent resistance will continue.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told journalists during his flight back from Washington that he accepts Israeli defence minister Ehud Barak's opinion that a possible timetable for a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip should be looked into.
"There's genuine problem here. We aren't gung-ho about a possible military operation, but we certainly are not afraid of one," he said.
Olmert said moments before leaving Washington that Israel is closer to launching a military operation than to completing negotiations on a ceasefire.
He said that he embraces Barak's comments made on Thursday afternoon that military action is closer than in the past andis likely to happen before any truce is drawn up.
"There is a real problem and I discussed it in Washington and with the US Senate," he added.
Regard the ongoing Egyptian-brokered truce negotiations with Hamas Olmert said, "This isn't a question of mediation efforts opposite Hamas. There are negotiations, via mediators, but there are also discussions with the Egyptians on the stipulations without which Israel will not commit to certain clauses."
"I can't tell you what I will announce in the coming governmental session," he added.
Commenting on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' call for dialogue with Hamas, he said "we are used to hearing such talk in the Middle East which usually does not transform into actions and Israel's position towards this issue is clear and is known to Abbas."

Two Palestinians were were hit by rubber-coated metal bullets when clashes erupted between protestors and Israeli soldiers during a peaceful rally protesting the separation wall in the central West Bank village of Ni'lin west of Ramallah on Wednesday.
Palestinians and Israeli and foreign peace activists who participated in the rally told Ma'an that Israeli soldiers attacked them with tear gas and rubber bullets, claiming the demonstrators had thrown stones at them.
However, foreign and Israeli solidarity activists claimed that the protestors approached military bulldozers with their hands raised in an attempt to stop the work on the wall.
"We did not throw stones at soldiers. It was the soldiers who began attacking us," said Israeli peace activist Kobi Seats.
Muhammad Amira from Ni'lin, whose uncle's land is being confiscated for the separation wall, says the wall violates international resolutions, but is continuing to be built.
Israel claims that Palestinians whose lands were confiscated will be reimbursed. However, Palestinians refuse to take money for land they did not want to sell.
The mayor of Ni'lin, Ayman Nafi', told Ma'an's reporter that the Israeli forces seized the coordinator of the Popular Committee for Countering the Separation Wall, 'Aahid Al-Khawaja.
He also highlighted that the route of the wall has been changed to annex much of the village lands.

Israeli sources revealed on Tuesday that Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is in the US to sign a deal to buy new war planes and a long range missile defense system.
Olmert has presented the US administration with a long shopping list of military hardware, including F 35 Planes. It is highly likely that US President George W. Bush will agree to the lucrative sales.
When he arrived in the US, Olmert said that he was there to convince the US to prevent Iran from attaining nuclear weapons. Olmert is afraid that the next US president will shy away from a military attack on Iran.
Israel will deliver intelligence information to US that go against what US intelligence is reporting. Olmert aims to convince Washington of Iran's nuclear cability.
Olmert is to meet with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Tuesday and will head to the White House on Wednesday.
He will stay in the US until Friday evening where he is scheduled to meet with the three US presidential candidates, John McCain, Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama.
The sources said that Olmert will also meet with International Jewish Organization leaders (IPAC).

Israeli police and special services prevented the holding of a memorial meeting in honor of the memory of the late Jerusalem political figure, Feisal Husseini, who died in Kuwait on 31 May 2001. The memorial was scheduled to take place at 4 pm Sunday afternoon in East Jerusalem's Hakawati Theatre.
This would have been the seventh Faisal Husseini memorial meeting in Jerusalem. Last year's event was held in the Dar al-Tifl school, originally established sixty years ago by Hind Husseini to house and educate 55 orphans who survived the 1948 massacre and expulsion of Palestinians from the village of Deir Yassin on the outskirts of Jerusalem by the Jewish Irgun and Stern Gang militias, during the fighting that surrounded the creation of the State of Israel.
But, although all previous six annual Faisal Husseini memorial meetings went ahead without interference, this year's event was not allowed to take place.
"The Israeli police brought with them 'the brass', and on the side they had special forces ready", said Adnan Abdel-Razek, a former UN official in New York and then an associate working with Faisal Husseini in the Orient House, who was there to attend Sunday's memorial. "They did not even have a court order - which would have meant they would have had to go to the court and explain why they wanted to prevent the memorial, and we would have had the opportunity to explain why we wanted to hold it. No, in Jerusalem , in this supposedly 'united Jerusalem ', the Israeli police relied on the British Military Regulations of 1947".
Abdel Razek explained: "They told us to leave, and then they started chasing people. We decided to regroup in front of Orient House. They were brutal - and they were more than brutal, they were nasty. They hit some people. Then they detained Abdel-Qader Husseini, the son of Feisal, who was the sponsor of the memorial meeting. We have 40 witnesses who say that Abdel-Qader did not do anything to provoke this detention. He did not even open his mouth. But the officer in charge said 'It's my decision'. Fifteen minutes later Abdel-Qader was released. Then, the officer said that he would not allow even two people to gather together. We know the law and argued with him, saying that the exact stipulation in the military regulation prevents three people (not two) assembling. So, eventually, the officer said that three people could not gather together, then he changed it back to two".
He continued: "The Israelis have zero tolerance for any Palestinian voice, and it's getting worse and worse. We have no government, the PLO does not weigh in, and the Palestinian National Authority is not active in stopping the march of the occupation. The Israelis are building settlements, continuing construction of The Wall, confiscating land, and our people are busy discussing 'important matters' to advance the negotiations. But there is no way the Israelis can prevent people forever from exercising their basic human rights to political expression and free speech."
Both Dar al-Tifl, which is located behind the American Colony Hotel, and the Hakawati Theatre, are in the same neighborhood and very close to Orient House, described on its own website as the "Palestinian national gathering place for Palestinians in Occupied East Jerusalem .which aspires to develop Arab East Jerusalem as the capital of the emerging Palestinian state".
Orient House, a Husseini family property, was closed for a long period after the June 1967 war. It was renovated in the early 1980s to serve as Feisal Husseini's office and headquarters, first for his Arab Studies Society, and later, when Husseini served as a member of the Palestinian team to the multilateral negotiations that emerged from the Madrid Peace Conference, Orient House became known as the unofficial Palestine Liberation Organization's office in Jerusalem,.
Husseini, a member of Fatah, was the Palestine Liberation Organization's Executive Committee Member in charge of Jerusalem .
Feisal Husseini's offices in the Orient House were shut down by the Israeli authorities during the first Intifada from 1988 until 1992, and again on 10 August 2001 , during the second Intifada. It has not since reopened.
