Dozens of Palestinians on Tuesday took to the streets of Bethlehem’s Duheisha refugee camp, expressing their deep anger over the murder of the Palestinian youth Ahmed Jarrar by the Israeli occupation army at daybreak.
A march kicked off from the Duheisha camp, where protesters yelled slogans condemning the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians and calling for revenge.
The Israeli army claimed responsibility for the murder of the Palestinian anti-occupation attacker Ahmed Jarrar during a military operation in Jenin.
Jarrar’s body was removed from beneath a building which was partly demolished by the Israeli occupation forces.
Jarrar’s family mourned their son’s death and said he was killed following a shootout with the Israeli military.
The Israeli intelligence service Shin Bet said they were notified about Jarrar’s presence in a building in Jenin at the early morning hours before they rolled into the area and cordoned off the building.
In live snapshots taken from the death scene, Ahmed’s body appears to be covered in blood from head to toe, which eye-witnesses said is a sign of the atrocity of the crime committed by the occupation army.

Plucking up her strength to conceal her deep sorrow over her son’s death, Jarrar’s mother expressed her extreme pride of her son who was killed by the Israeli military during a Tuesday manhunt in Jenin.
“All praises to Allah,” said Jarrar’s mother. “When they brought his clothes to me, I immediately recognized them. I thanked Allah. My son sacrificed his life for his motherland and people.”
“My son was carrying a Quran book offered to him by his father, Nasser Jarrar, who was killed by the Israeli forces in 2002 in Tubas,” she said. “All praises be to Allah. My son is a source of pride to me and to the entire Palestinian people.”

Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has mourned Ahmed Naser Jarrar, one of its resistance fighters, affirming that more operations will be carried out against the Israeli occupation in the West Bank following his assassination.
“The door is wide open for our people’s heroes to deal more painful blows to the enemy,” the Brigades said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Martyr Ahmed, the son of al-Qassam commander Naser Jarrar, was killed after he confused an entire army and became an exemplar for all freedom fighters who resist the occupation and its false myth that it cannot be defeated,” the Brigades added.
Jarrar was shot dead by Israeli soldiers on Tuesday morning in Yamoun town near Jenin during a shoot-out with them.
His martyrdom ended a nearly month-long manhunt for the resistance fighters who carried out a drive-by shooting that killed a Jewish on January 9 outside the illegal outpost of Havat Gilad in the occupied West Bank.

A rally was held in Khan Younis on Tuesday in support of the Palestinian resistance and in protest at Israel’s simmering terrorism against the Palestinian people.
Speaking at the rally, activist Sherif Hamad, from the Ahrar Movement, strongly condemned the incessant Israeli crimes against the Palestinians.
Hamad paid tribute to Ahmed Jarrar, killed earlier in the day by the Israeli military, saying he will forever remain an icon of resistance.
He vowed that Hamas and the Palestinians will never remain mum over such Israeli crimes and that no crises will dampen the spirits of the Palestinian resistance.
Hamad urged the Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas to immediately cease security cooperation with the Israeli occupation and invalidate the notorious Oslo accords.
He further appealed to all national factions to opt for a unified resistance strategy aiming to oust the Israeli occupation and rehabilitate Palestinians’ inalienable rights.
He also urged the world’s leaders to kick out Israel ambassadors, shut the U.S. and Israel embassies in their countries, and side by the Palestinians throughout their anti-occupation struggle.
For his part, Hamas leader Emad al-Sinwar said Ahmed Jarrar stands as an iconic figure symbolizing Palestinians’ self-abnegation and readiness to sacrifice their lives for the sake of their land and holy sites.

“Our people raise their heads high for the heroism of martyr Jarrar, who did not surrender to the occupation and kept resisting until he used all bullets in his possession,” Bahar told the martyr’s uncle, Hatem Jarrar, over the phone.
Bahar strongly denounced the use of excessive force by Israeli soldiers against Jarrar, affirming that all laws of the world give the peoples under occupation the right to resist their occupiers.
“The occupation will pay dearly for the assassination of Jarrar,” the lawmaker stressed, adding that “there are thousands of heroes like Jarrar who will burn the ground under the feet of the Zionists.”
He also condemned the Palestinian Authority’s security collaboration with Israel. “Without security coordination, the occupation would have never been able to reach martyr Jarrar, who devoted himself to defending his country and land.”

The Israeli military claimed responsibility for the murder of the Palestinian anti-occupation attacker Ahmed Jarrar during a military operation in Jenin.
In Tuesday reports, Israeli sources claimed Ahmed Jarrar was killed overnight after Israeli military troops rolled into Yamon town and that the victim was holding a bag and an M16 weapon before he was fatally shot.
The Israeli army spokesman said Ahmed Jarrar, whom he identified as “a terrorist”, in reference to his anti-occupation activism, had been chased down over his involvement in anti-occupation shooting in Nablus last month.
He added that Jarrar was killed after he tried to run away from a building in which he had been hiding.
Israeli forces extrajudicially execute Palestinian man accused of killing Israeli settler
On Tuesday morning before dawn, Israeli troops invaded the village of al-Yamoun and killed Ahmad Nasr Jarrar, 22, whom they suspected of the murder of an Israeli, without filing charges or arresting him for the crime.
Extrajudicial assassinations like this one, despite being commonly practiced by the Israeli military against Palestinians, are considered illegal under international law.
The soldiers, including a Canine unit, were heavily deployed in the area, and conducted searches of many homes, in addition to using the rooftops of several buildings as monitoring towers and firing posts. They also demolished a wall and a shed, and uprooted many olive trees, as they set up a perimeter around the ‘wanted’ man’s location.
Mohammad Abu Allan Daraghma, a Palestinian journalist specialized in Israeli affairs, said that Israeli sources reported the military operation was carried out by regular army units and undercover officers.
He added that the army was given “shoot-to-kill” orders, and the soldiers were instructed to shoot Jarrar the moment he was visible to them, without attempting to abduct him.
Israeli media outlets said the soldiers located a large cache of bullets and alleged that Jarrar had been planning a serious attack.
Local media sources reported that Jarrar exchanged fire with the soldiers, and that the soldiers destroyed the home where he was hiding.
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman congratulated the army for what he called “the successful operation,” that resulted in Jarrar’s death.
Following the military invasion and the death of the Palestinian, dozens of local youngsters hurled stones at the soldiers, who fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs.
It is worth mentioning that, on January 18th, the soldiers invaded Wadi Burqin town, west of Jenin, demolished Ahmad’s home, and two other homes, in addition to killing his cousin Ahmad Ismael Jarrar, 31, after they mistook him for his cousin.
On February 3rd, the soldiers killed Ahmad Samir Abu ‘Obeid, 19, with a live round in the head, during a massive military invasion into Burqin.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a Likud ministerial meeting that a bill to okay the Havat Gilad outpost as a settlement will be approved in next week's Cabinet meeting.
Netanyahu said during Sunday’s meeting of the Likud ministers that the issue of Havat Gilad will be raised at the cabinet meeting next week and be approved.
Netanyahu added that the approbation will be issued in partnership with Israel’s War Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
Netanyahu claimed the delay in raising the status issue was due to tactical reasons, and that the issue will be raised next week, in coordination with Lieberman.
Havat Gilad is an Israeli outpost built on Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank. It has been considered an unauthorized outpost by the Israeli government and is on a list of outposts the international community expects to be dismantled.
Then, on January 9 this year, an extremist rabbi died in an anti-occupation shooting attack in the area. The Israelis vowed that the outpost will be regulated and restored as an act of revenge.
