On Wednesday evening, (6 p.m.) the Health Ministry said a Palestinian was killed when an Israeli shell struck an area near the al-Abrar mosque in Gaza and added that several Palestinians were injured, some seriously.
It added that the army also fired many artillery shells into residential areas across the eastern parts of the Gaza Strip, including the Sheja’eyya area, east of Gaza city, and Deir al—Balah in central Gaza, and added a physically challenged man from the Salha family, along with his pregnant wife, and their daughter, were killed after an Israeli missile struck their home in Deir al-Balah, while they were eating dinner.
The Israeli missiles killed the wheelchair-bound man, identified as Eyad Salha, in his apartment in Deir al-Balah, in addition to killing his wife who was, seventh months pregnant, and their daughter, only three years of age.
“They were just sitting and their home and eating,” the brother said, “What do they [Israel] think he was doing, firing missiles from his wheelchair?! What did he, his pregnant wife, and their daughter, do to be mutilated like this?!”
The Israeli army fired many missiles and shells into the Zeitoun neighborhood, and all eastern areas of Gaza, Beit Hanoun, and Beit Lahia.
A child, only 2.5 years of age, was killed when Israeli missiles struck the family home in northern Gaza. “What did my child do to them? Fired missiles?! Threatening their security?!”, the father said, “This is Israel’s bank of targets in Gaza, our children!”
The Health Ministry stated that the Israeli missiles and shells have led to the killing of 227 Palestinians, including 64 children, 38 women, and 17 elderly, in addition to wounding 1620 Palestinians.

According to Palestinian medical sources, ongoing Israeli aggression against people in the Gaza Strip, since May 10, has left 245 Palestinians killed, including 68 children and 37 women. More than 1530 were wounded.

The Egyptian government on Tuesday submitted to Israeli government officials and to representatives of the Palestinian Authority in Gaza a proposal for a ceasefire beginning 6 am Thursday morning.
Hamas officials in Gaza have agreed to the proposal, but Israeli officials have so far refused to respond.
Also Tuesday, 14 of the 15 member states of the United Nations Security Council attempted for the fourth time since May 10th to pass a resolution calling for a ceasefire, and the US for the fourth time vetoed it.
There is no negotiation and no communication happening between Israel and the Palestinian Authority in Gaza. Egyptian officials say they are trying to facilitate this communication, but there has been no cooperation from the Israeli side.
Meanwhile, Israel continues to pound Gaza with thousands of pounds of missiles night after night, killing over 200 people and destroying hundreds of millions of dollars worth of infrastructure.
The Egyptian government has said that the truce would be temporary, in order to allow them to bring in humanitarian aid through the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and the West Bank, and to evacuate severely wounded Palestinians from the overcrowded and overwhelmed hospitals in Gaza to hospitals in Egypt where they can be treated.
The US has repeatedly prevented efforts at a truce, preventing international efforts and refusing to condemn Israeli war crimes in Gaza – which have included targeting medical facilities, journalists, firing white phosphorus and leveling entire apartment buildings filled with families and children.
As Medea Benjamin wrote Tuesday in an article for Salon, “Diplomatically, the United States has exercised its veto in the UN Security Council 82 times, and 44 of those vetoes have been to shield Israel from accountability for war crimes or human rights violations. In every single case, the United States has been the lone vote against the resolution, although a few other countries have occasionally abstained.
“It is only the United States’ privileged position as a veto-wielding permanent member of the Security Council, and its willingness to abuse that privilege to shield its ally Israel, that gives it this unique power to stymie international efforts to hold the Israeli government accountable for its actions under international law.”
A former US deputy national security adviser during the Obama administration, Ben Rhodes, tweeted on Sunday that it “feels increasingly untenable for the U.S. to see this loss of civilian life in Gaza — including so many children — and not publicly call for a cease-fire.”

Four Palestinians were killed and at least 10 others were wounded Wednesday overnight in Israeli airstrikes across the besieged Gaza Strip, according to WAFA. video
As the Israeli onslaught entered its tenth day, Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the vicinity of Sheikh Radwan cemetery, north of Gaza city, killing a journalist and wounding two others. The casualties were rushed to al-Shifa Hospital.
The warplanes also pounded a house in Ash-Shuhada Street in al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza city, killing three Palestinians and wounding two others.
Other airstrikes hit the area surrounding the auto market in Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of the city, as well as a site near Karameh Towers, northwest of the city, causing massive damage to the nearby civilian houses and property. video
There was another aerial strike on Khaled Bin al-Walid Street in Bani Suheila town, east of Khan Younes, wounding another Palestinian and causing substantial destruction. video
Another airstrike hit a house belonging to the Astal family in al-Katibah area of the city, reducing it to rubble.
Israeli warplanes also targeted a site, west of Rafah city, and a charitable association in the city, completely destroying them and causing damage to the nearby civilian houses. video
Meanwhile, intensive Israeli artillery fire targeted civilian houses and lands, east of Rafah city, as well as in al-Maghazi, Nuseirat and al-Bureij refugee camps and in Juhr Ad-Deek area, causing considerable damages to property. video
Israeli aerial and artillery bombardment also targeted farmlands in Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun towns in the northern strip, inflicting massive destruction to civilian property and setting a house ablaze in Shaymaa area, west of Beit Lahia. video
The Palestinian Health Ministry said the overall death toll since the latest onslaught began reached 219, including 63 children, 36 women and 16 elderies, and wounded 1530 others, mostly children and women.
The Israeli military has carried out hundreds of airstrikes on the coastal enclave, targeting what it alleged as military sites. However, the bombardment targeted and leveled multistory residential buildings, towers, houses, government institutions, media outlet offices, banks in addition to roads and other infrastructure across the strip. video
Two million Palestinians live the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to a punishing and crippling Israeli blockade for 12 years and repeated onslaughts that have heavily damaged much of the enclave’s infrastructure.
Gaza’s 2-million population remains under “remote control” occupation and a strict siege, which has destroyed the local economy, strangled Palestinian livelihoods, plunged them into unprecedented rates of unemployment and poverty, and cut off from the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories and the wider world.
Gaza remains occupied territory, having no control over its borders, territorial waters or airspace. Meanwhile, Israel upholds very few of its responsibilities as the occupying power, failing to provide for the basic needs of Palestinian civilians living in the territory.
Every two in three Palestinians in Gaza is a refugee from lands inside what is now Israel. That government forbids them from exercising their right to return as enshrined in international law because they are not Jews.
