49 Palestinians injured in protests at Gaza border
Dozens of Palestinians were injured on Monday when the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at Palestinians marching in northern Gaza to support the new Freedom Flotilla that will attempt a journey from Gaza sea to break the siege.

Gaza Ministry of Health said that 49 Palestinians, including journalists and medics, were injured by Israeli live ammunition and teargas canisters. video video

The PIC reporter said that about 50 boats, carrying on board students and injured people, took part in the seventh Freedom Flotilla campaign launched from the Gaza Strip. video

Member of Hamas's Political Bureau Fathi Hammad praised the Palestinian people's determination and bravery over the past months.
Hammad stressed that Palestinians in Gaza will continue their protests until they achieve their goals and restore their usurped rights.

Since 30th March, Palestinian citizens in Gaza have been protesting in five camps along Gaza's border with the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories in what is called "Great March of Return". A sixth camp will be installed starting Monday northwest of Gaza.

Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights on Sunday said that the Israeli occupation forces deliberately shoot at Palestinian protesters in the Great March of Return with the aim of harming them.

Al-Mezan, in a press statement, noted that since the start of border protests in Gaza on 30th March, 182 Palestinians have been killed, 132 of whom were killed while taking part in the Great March of Return, including 24 children, three people with disabilities, three paramedics, two journalists, and a woman.

According to the same statement, 9,371 Palestinians have been wounded, including 1,729 children, 410 women, 107 paramedics, and 86 journalists.

Al-Mezan called on the international community to immediately intervene to stop Israeli violations, provide protection to Palestinian civilians in Gaza, end the siege, and enable Palestinians to obtain their legitimate right to self-determination.

Israeli troops shoot dead Palestinian at Gaza's border fence

Israeli military forces have shot dead a Palestinian man at the Gaza Strip's border, claiming he was going to “sabotage” a fence separating the besieged territory from the occupied territories.

The Israeli military admitted in a statement Sunday that the man died after sustaining fatal injuries.

The deadly encounter came a day after the Israeli military clashed with anti-occupation protesters at the fence, killing one person and injuring about 400 other people.

Nearly 175 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces ever since anti-occupation protest rallies began in the Gaza Strip on March 30. A total of 19,139 Palestinians have also sustained injuries.

The Gaza clashes reached their peak on May 14, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of Nakba Day, or the Day of Catastrophe, which coincided this year with the US embassy relocation from Tel Aviv to occupied East Jerusalem al-Quds.

Earlier on Sunday, a video clip made the rounds on social media, appearing to show Israeli troops shooting a Palestinian boy at a time when he posed no obvious threat.

In the video, 16-year-old Ahmad Misbah Abu Toyour is standing near the fence as he is taking part in "The Great March of Return" protests. Toyour throws a stone at Israeli forces, and a shot rings out and he falls to the ground obviously in a great deal of pain.

The Palestinian teenager succumbed to his gunshot wounds at the European Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis, located about 25 kilometers south of Gaza City, on Saturday morning.

Army Kills A Palestinian In Northern Gaza

Israeli soldiers killed, on Sunday evening, a young man near the perimeter fence, in Abu Safiyya area, east of Jabalia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, and abducted three other Palestinians.

The Israeli army claimed the Palestinian was killed by the soldiers while trying to breach the perimeter fence.

The slain Palestinians have been identified as Attaf Abed-Rabbo Saleh, 32, from Jabalia.

It added that the soldiers also detained three other Palestinians, and claimed they carried knives, and were moved to an interrogation facility.

After shooting the young man, the soldiers crossed the fence and advanced a few meters into Gaza, before taking him, and the other Palestinians. It later said the man has died from his wounds.

Medical sources in Gaza said Palestinian medics tried to reach the seriously wounded young man, but the soldiers opened fire at them, preventing them from even approaching him.

Child Ghassan Baraka: A new victim of Israeli gas
Picture
Nothing is like the suffering of the family of child Ghassan Baraka, 17 years old; frequent convulsions that shake his body every quarter of an hour threaten his life and leave his parents with a feeling of powerlessness and confusion.

The child is suffering from the consequences of gas inhalation at the perimeter of Al-Bureij camp during the demonstration of the Great March of Return last Friday. He was taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah for immediate treatment, yet since then he has been suffering from frequent convulsions.

The Israeli occupation forces systematically fire dangerous types of gas at

Palestinian demonstrators near the Gaza borders that affect the condition and performance of the nervous system of the affected, causing hundreds of cases of temporary convulsions, but some cases have suffered from long-term convulsions.

Unusual case

The father of the child appears to be unable to do anything to his son. He explained the details of the incident when Ghassan was hit while he was standing hundreds of meters away from the Gaza border fence. Ghassan inhaled gas and slipped into a temporary coma before waking up on frequent convulsions.

“My son is surviving on painkillers only. He takes a syringe every 12 hours, and I do not have money even for the painkillers,” Ghassan’s father told the Palestinian Information Center. “Sometimes the painkiller does not stop the convulsions. I want to treat him at home or abroad or at any place until he returns to normal life.”

Baraka appealed to officials in the Palestinian Authority to save the life of his son Ghassan who is no longer able to speak.

Sudden seizure

As Ghassan’s mother spoke, he suffered from a stroke that was heard all over the hospital, making him flip upside down as his father runs to fix a tube in his mouth so that he does not choke. Four young men of his family try to control his shaky body as he makes a choking sound from his throat.

The child is still waiting for a referral to the hospitals of the 1948 Occupied Territories, or outside the Gaza Strip, as Gaza’s hospitals, with their current conditions, are unable to provide anything for him.

Palestinians bid last farewell to 2 minors shot dead by Israel army
Thousands of Palestinians marched on Saturday in the funeral processions of Bilal Mustafa Khafaja, 17, who was shot dead by Israeli forces at Gaza border on Friday, and Ahmad Abu Tyour, 16, who succumbed to wounds inflcited by Israeli soldiers at Gaza border.

Both casualties were laid to rest in Rafah, in southern Gaza Strip, following two funeral processions attended by thousands of angry mourners.

Khafaja was fatally shot in the chest by Israeli snipers while he was partaking in the Great March of Return protests near the border fence east of Rafah, in southern Gaza Strip, on Friday evening.

Abu Tyour was also shot and critically injured by Israeli snipers near the border but was announced dead of his wounds on Saturday morning.

More than 180 Palestinians have been killed and 19,000 others injured
since the outbreak of the Gaza border protests on March 30. The protests call for ending the 12-year-long Israeli blockade of Gaza and for the right of return of the refugees.

IDF to investigate fatal shootings of two Palestinian teens during Gaza riots
Picture
Following release of footage showing 16-year-old Ahmad Abu Tayoor being shot to death by Israeli forces during violent border clashes, IDF says it will investigate events that lead to alleged killing of Abu Tayoor and another Palestinian teen on Friday. video

The IDF announced on Saturday it will investigate the claims of a fatal shooting of two Palestinian teens by Israeli forces during violent, weekly riots that erupted along the Gaza border fence on Friday.

“The incidents will be investigated by the relevant command echelons. The cases in which two Palestinians were allegedly killed will be transferred for examination to the IDF's General Staff,” stressed the IDF statement.

Earlier, the Palestinians released footage of an alleged shooting of 16-year-old Ahmad Abu Tayoor, who later succumbed to his wounds, by the IDF during Friday’s clashes.

The footage shows Abu Tayoor throwing rocks at the border fence and shouting at soldiers who were observing the incident from their position on the Israeli side of the border.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit issued an official response to the incident.

"During violent riots that erupted along the border fence in the Gaza Strip yesterday, IDF soldiers were prompted to use crowd dispersal measures in accordance with the regulations in response to attempts to breach the fence and harm our forces,” added the statement.

"The rioters burned tires and threw rocks and explosive devices at the forces. We are also aware that two people—who took part in violent clashes on Friday—reported to have been killed,” the statement concluded.

Another Palestinian teen was shot during the demonstration in the southern Gaza Strip. The Palestinian health ministry said Friday that the teen, 17, was killed by a gunshot to the chest during the riots.

In addition, on Saturday afternoon IDF forces identified four Palestinians who were trying to breach the border fence in the northern Gaza Strip. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit later said the soldiers had arrested the suspects, who were armed with a knife and an axe, and transferred them for further questioning.

Earlier on Friday, IDF Spokesperson's Unit said that IAF had attacked a Hamas observation post in northern Gaza in retaliation to "March of Return" protesters throwing grenades at soldiers near the border fence.

Addressing the exchange of accusations between Hamas and Fatah at the Cairo reconciliation talks, Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that the mass participation (of Gaza residents in the "March of Return" riots) and clashes with Israel along the border fence are proof that only those who hold weapons and make sacrifices for their people are the representatives of the Palestinian nation, slamming those who cooperate with Israel.

Senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya said while visiting the border fence on Friday, that the patience of the Palestinian people is coming to an end in reference to the siege on Gaza, and that all those involved should "get the message."

VIDEO: Israeli Forces Intentionally Kill 16-year-old Palestinian Youth

A video has surfaced, documenting the method of how Israeli forces targeted and killed 16-year-old Palestinian, Ahmad Misbah Abu Tyour, while he was participating in “The Great March of Return” protests, in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The video shows the Palestinian teen, while maintaining his distance, throwing rocks towards the border with Israel as a form of protest to the nearly 12-year Israeli siege of Gaza.

Ahmad’s rock-throwing posed no threat to the heavily armed Israeli forces.

The video also shows Ahmad raising his hands up, seconds prior to an Israeli sniper shooting him in the chest and causing him critical injuries.

Ahmad succumbed to his wounds on Saturday morning, according to Ma’an.

The video is not the first of its kind to document Israel’s intentional killing of Palestinian children, who did not pose any threat to Israel, and yet Israel rarely takes accountability for such shootings.

Israeli authorities announced a decision to open an investigation into the matter.

A Palestinian child died on Saturday from wounds he sustained after being shot by the Israeli occupation forces while taking part in the Great March of Return on Friday east of Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip.

Spokesman for Gaza's Ministry of Health Ashraf al-Qedra announced the death of Ahmad Abu Tyour, 16, in the European Hospital in a press statement Saturday morning.

Belal Khafaja, 17, died instantly after being shot by the Israeli occupation forces on Friday, while 250 Palestinians were injured.
