Israeli Maariv newspaper published on its website on Saturday that Israeli army embarked on placing concrete blocks with given numbers in different locations in the West Bank in order to help Israeli soldiers as well as settlers determine locations of anti-occupation attacks carried out by Palestinians.
The newspaper quoted an engineering officer at the Israeli army as saying that the cement blocks will also help soldiers approach the injured and chase the attackers in a faster manner in addition to minimizing the areas of combing operations.
The Israeli officer pointed out that each of the concrete blocks, which would be completed on April 20, was given a certain number and a symbol.
Its location was pointed to in special maps of the army in order to facilitate accessing those locations when receiving any notification on the hot line.

Hamas spokesman Husam Badran has accused the Palestinian Authority (PA) of escalating its security coordination with the Israeli occupation and pursuing a revolving door policy in this regard.
In press remarks on Friday, Badran said that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested recently two university students from the Islamic bloc shortly after their release from PA jails.
The Hamas spokesman underlined that the PA's persistence in its security coordination with Israel caused a lot of suffering to the Palestinian people, who aspire to freedom.
He urged all Palestinian factions to adopt a unified position against the PA's security collaboration with Israel and develop a joint formula for the protection of the resistance and its achievements in the West Bank.
Israel has arrested dozens of Palestinians after their release from PA jails since the Jerusalem intifada started in early October last year.

Senior Islamic Jihad official Khaled al-Batsh has called on the Palestinian resistance to capture Jewish settlers in order to clinch an "honorable" prisoner swap deal and extract the freedom of all detainees in Israeli jails.
Batsh made his remarks during a massive rally organized on Friday afternoon by Islamic Jihad outside the house of prisoner Abdul-Halim al-Balbisi in Jabaliya refugee camp, north of the Gaza Strip.
The Islamic Jihad official stressed that the Palestinian resistance in all occupied areas would continue to assume its role in pressuring the Israeli occupation state to stop its Judaization and settlement activities in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
He also called on the Palestinian young people to continue their intifada (uprising) against the occupation and its settlers and retaliate to the extrajudicial and mass killing of Palestinians taking place in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
For his part, ex-detainee Muthanna Abu Jalalah urged the Palestinian resistance factions to give high priority to the issue of prisoners in Israeli jails.

Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu has said that his government will never end its military activities and campaigns in "Area A" of the West Bank, which is, according to Oslo accords, under the Palestinian Authority's civil and security control.
According to Haaretz newspaper, Netanyahu described Israel's freedom to carry out operations in the Palestinian West Bank areas "sacrosanct," stressing that Israel would not allow the situation that had existed before 2000 to repeat itself.
For his part, Israeli minister of education Naftali Bennett, head of the right-wing Jewish Home party, threatened to dismantle the coalition government if steps were taken to shrink the Israeli army's operations in Area A.
Haaretz newspaper said that Bennett made such threat after the Israeli security cabinet last Wednesday explored in a meeting attended by PA officials the avenues to reduce Israel's military operations in Palestinian areas.

Israeli police detained and later released the preacher of al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Mohamed Salim as he exited the Mosque after Friday prayers for unknown reasons.
Sheikh Salim stressed during his Friday sermon the historic importance of occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque. He also pointed out that Israeli occupation authority (IOA) never ceased its violations and break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque, calling for intensifying Palestinian presence in the compound.
Commenting on Sheikh Salim’s arrest, MP Jamal al-Khudari said Israeli arrest of the Sheikh of al-Aqsa and Palestinian worshipers is a serious escalation against the holy shrine and the occupied city.
Khudari said that the IOA continues to impose a tight siege on the occupied city while escalating arrests and violations against Jerusalemites and their properties. Israeli Judaization policy will not succeed to evacuate the occupied city from its natives in light of the Palestinians’ strong adherence to their land, he said.
In the same context, Jordanian authorities strongly condemned the Israeli arrest of Sheikh Salim, considering it “a violation of the international law.” Jordanian Endowment Minister Hayel Dawoud said that the Israeli arrest of Sheikh Salim constitutes “an intervention in the Mosque affairs and a violation of the Israeli role as an occupation authority and a violation of the international law.”
According to the PIC reporter, nearly 70,000 Palestinian worshipers performed Friday prayers at al-Aqsa amid very tight Israeli restrictions throughout the occupied city. Israeli policemen were deployed in large numbers in the Old City after the arrest of a Palestinian young man for allegedly trying to carry out an anti-occupation attack.
Meanwhile, Jerusalemite activists held banners in protest against Jordanian intention to install surveillance cameras in the holy shrine's courtyards. Palestinian and Jordanian activists have earlier declared a campaign against the Jordanian plan of installing surveillance cameras in the Mosque.

The Israeli Government, headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is set to approve more than 45 Million Israeli Shekels in aid to Jewish colonies, in the occupied West Bank, under the pretext of “helping families impacted by terrorism.”
The government will be holding its weekly cabinet meeting this Sunday, and is set to approve a comprehensive plan that would funnel nearly 45 million to the illegal colonies, built in direct violation of International Law and the Fourth Geneva Conventions, in different parts of the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem.
Formulated by the office of Netanyahu, the plan includes 15 Million Shekels from the Finance Ministry, 5 million from the Tourism Ministry, and 6 million from the Welfare Ministry.
Commenting on the latest decision, head of the Meretz leftist party Zahava Gal-On said the plan has nothing to do with “aiding bereaved families” as Netanyahu claims, and is merely a plan to funnel funds to construction contractors, who are acting in direction coordination with the Jewish Home Party, its leader Naftali Bennett and Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home Party).
Arab Member of Knesset of the Meretz Party Issawi Freij, said the Netanyahu-led government does not need excuses “to continue spoiling the settlers with more money,” and added that “taxpayers in Israel became ATM machines for the settlers.”
Meretz party Member of Knesset Michal Rozen said the Israeli government, within a week, allocated dozens of millions for settlements under the pretext of “urgent aid.”
Rozen added, “the Netanyahu-led government coalition is using the current tension to pass laws and channel funds for settlements, and for the annexation of more Palestinian lands.”

General Manager of al-Zaytouna Center for Studies, Mohsen Saleh, said that the Jerusalem intifada (uprising) shook the two major bases of the Israeli society namely security and economy, as opposed to the state of resilience characterizing the Palestinians.
He pointed out that the ongoing uprising redirected the compass of the Muslim Ummah to its topmost enemy. He predicted in an interview on the al-Jazeera TV program "Without Borders", that the intifada will overcome the challenges it faces, stressing that the resistance is escalating, despite the difficulties and obstacles.
Regarding the losses Israel has incurred as a result of the Jerusalem intifada, Saleh said that 1,516 attacks were carried out during the first five months of the intifada, including 296 operations that led to Israeli casualties through individual-organized operations.
Saleh explained that despite the fact that the Israeli losses may seem small, but when taking into account that Israel is based on security and economy, and how the current intifada is causing panic in the Israeli society, that 77% of the Israeli settlers no longer feel secure, of whom 52% do not feel safe at all, and 25% feel insecure, according to the Israeli statistics, we can then conclude that the intifada is causing real losses to Israel.
He added that Israel has mobilized 27 military battalions to confront the intifada and this means a state of attrition to the Israeli society. He pointed out that 80% of the population in some cities, where the intifada operations occur, stay inside their homes at certain times; in addition to great losses in the tourism sector and other sectors.
He pointed that each one of the three intifadas is distinguished by certain features; the first intifada was known as that of the children of the stones; the second was characterized by the human-bombing attacks, while the current intifada is marked by knives.
What distinguishes the Jerusalem intifada also is that its operations are carried out mostly in occupied Jerusalem, making this uprising take the honor of defending al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy city, he elaborated.
Saleh said that the Jerusalem intifada is also distinguished for being carried out by youths, who are not affiliated with factions and do not have a leadership that could be targeted and eliminated by Israel.
Furthermore, there is a remarkable participation of Palestinian young women in the attacks, he underlined.
He pointed out that the generation that leads the current uprising is the generation which had been called the "generation of Oslo," referring to the fact that it grew in the times of the Oslo agreement and the other agreements following it, yet was described by some studies as the one that opposes Oslo the most.
The future of the PA
Regarding the future of the Palestinian Authority (PA), Saleh said that it had reached an impasse, meaning that instead of evolving from an authority to a state on the occupied Palestinian lands in 1967, it became a functional security situation that serves the Israeli occupation.
He added that the settlement process had reached a dead-end, and that about 70% of Palestinians consider the Oslo agreement "dead," and that about 50% of the Palestinians demand the disbanding of the PA.
Saleh said that about 43% of the employees in the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank are members of the security services, and 40% of the Authority salaries are for them, pointing out that the ratio of security personnel in comparison with the Palestinians in the West Bank is 43 per thousand inhabitants, while the global ratio does not exceed three per thousand inhabitants.
Saleh opined that the resistance and the current uprising unite the Palestinian people regardless of their political affiliations. He called on the Palestinian leadership to live up to the aspiration of the Palestinian people who provide these precious sacrifices, stressing that there is a Palestinian consensus on the need to halt security coordination with the Israeli occupation.
On the future of the Jerusalem intifada, Saleh said that it faces three challenges: the challenge of continuing under the enormous pressures to end it, the challenge of expanding in light of the efforts to curb it, and the challenge of being politically exploited in the incorrect direction. He stressed that this intifada need to overcome these challenges in order to achieve its objectives.

Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement in 1948 Occupied Palestine, warned of the continuation of settlers’ incursions into the Aqsa Mosque, saying that these incursions herald a dangerous phase at the Aqsa.
Sheikh Salah said, in a press statement, that the Aqsa Mosque is passing through a serious stage especially in light of the Israeli policies of evacuating the Aqsa Mosque from Muslims, who defend it against settlers’ repeated incursions, to pave the way for massive incursions during the upcoming Passover Jewish holiday at the end of April.
Salah called for visiting and staying at the Aqsa Mosque regardless of the Israeli harassment on Palestinians of the 1948 Occupied Palestine and Occupied Jerusalem.
He pointed out that calls on settlers to storm the Aqsa Mosque on a daily basis aim at imposing spatio-temporal division on the Aqsa holy site, then building the alleged Temple of Solomon over the remains of the Dome of the Rock.
Salah warned as well of calls for offering Jewish sacrifices at the Aqsa Mosque in addition to conducting other social and religious events like wedding and circumcision ceremonies at the Muslims' holy place.

Zaher al-Sheshtery, a leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in Nablus, slammed the silence towards the secret negotiations running between Palestinian and Israeli authorities.
On his Facebook page, Sheshtery stressed the need to take a serious action in order to stop those secret negotiations through a united position taken by all Palestinian factions.
The PFLP leader also warned of the dangerous implications of such secret negotiations saying that they would result in ending the Jerusalem Intifada, and called on the Palestinian factions to prevent such a consequence.

Netanyahu said during a visit to Israeli illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank that anti-occupation activism should be fought at any time and in any place without restraints, whatsoever.
He acclaimed the aggression carried out by the occupation army and Shabak across the occupied West Bank against Palestinian anti-occupation activists, calling for stepping up such aggression.
Senior Israeli army officers presented data on the decrease in the death toll among the Israelis as opposed to a striking increase in the same toll among the Palestinian youths.

The Jordanian popular committee for defending the Aqsa Mosque and sacred places refused installing cameras at the Aqsa Mosque and called on the Jordanian government to cancel the project.
The Jordanian ministry of Awqaf a few days ago embarked on preparation works to install 55 cameras at the plazas of the Aqsa Mosque according to the Jordanian Minister of Awqaf Hayel Daoud.
The committee’s head Abdulla Ebaidat said, in a statement on Wednesday, that over the past few weeks, statements by Jordanian ministers were repeated that surveillance cameras will be installed at the holy site regardless of the large-scale refusal among Palestinians in general and Jerusalemites in particular as well as among large segments of Jordanian people and regardless of the risky consequences of such a move which will be used for the interest of the Israeli occupation.
The statement called for reconsidering the decision since putting cameras at the Aqsa’s plazas will allow Israelis to use them as evidence to convict Jerusalemites who defend the Aqsa Mosque from settlers' repeated incursions and attempts to perform Talmudic rituals at the holy site.
He pointed out that Israeli leaders made statements on several occasions declaring their intention to use the cameras for identifying the defenders of the Aqsa Mosque and for protecting settlers while storming the Muslims’ holy place.
Ebaidat said that Israeli leaders are keen to install the cameras before the Jewish Passover holiday, and slammed the Jordanian government for insisting to have the cameras installed before that exact time.

Israeli police and the Jerusalem municipality on Tuesday destroyed a garden that had been erected in Occupied Jerusalem in memory of 47 Palestinian anti-occupation activists killed in the recent wave of Israeli terror, since early October.
Each anti-occupation activist had an olive tree planted in his or her memory and a picture hung next to their tree, with accompanying graffiti of praise on a nearby wall.
The whole neighborhood was invited three weeks ago to the ceremony of launching the little memorial park for the slain youths who devoted the last days of their lives to anti-occupation activities.
The police and the municipality carried out the demolition on allegations that the park had been created in a public area without a permit.
Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan congratulated the demolition carried out by police in Ras al-Amud, saying police will continue to act with determination against every expression of support for resistance against the Israeli occupation.
Israeli cops removed the plants, pictures, and graffiti and launched an investigation to find the persons responsible for establishing the park.

Israeli fanatic groups called for stepping up mass break-ins at Muslims’ the holy al-Aqsa Mosque on the occasion of the Jewish Passover holiday, at the same time as dozens of Israeli vandals stormed the holy site on Tuesday morning.
Reporting from Occupied Jerusalem, a PIC news correspondent said 42 Israeli fanatic settlers, escorted by police and army troops, broke into the holy al-Aqsa Mosque via the Maghareba Gate at the early morning hours.
Earlier, on Monday, the Israeli occupation police banned four peaceful Muslim worshipers from Occupied Jerusalem for 15 days on account of their involvement in anti-occupation activities. 29 alleged temple mount organizations also launched a media campaign calling for mass break-ins at al-Aqsa from April 24 to April 28 to mark the Jewish Passover holiday.
The groups further called Israeli fanatics to join drillings for Passover rituals and a series of Judaization rallies to mark the ceremony.
A snapshot circulated on social media network also appeared to replace the Dome of the Rock and the Islamic Crescent with the Israeli flag and the Star of David.
Meanwhile, members of the al-Aqsa supervision staff thwarted a break-in at al-Aqsa by two disguised Israeli fanatics.
Along the same line, Jordan on Tuesday submitted a letter of protest to Israeli embassy in Amman, condemning repeated Israeli raids into al-Aqsa Mosque. Jordan strongly protested the break-ins led by zealous rabbi Yehuda Glick of the ruling Likud party, and urged Israel, as the occupation power, to stop such provocations.
State Minister for Media Affairs, official government spokesman, Mohammad Momani, said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, through its close monitoring of the Israeli violations of al-Aqsa Mosque, which it considers a red line, today lodged an official protest with the Israeli embassy in Amman.
The memo, he said, held Israel, the power of occupation, fully responsible for the safety of al-Aqsa Mosque, and reiterated Jordan's condemnation and rejection of recurrent raids by Glick, an extremist Israeli rabbi who campaigns for expanding Jewish access to the Mosque compound.
He said the protest note also expressed rejection of any attempt to change the status quo at the holy compound or undermine the historic Hashemite custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in East Jerusalem, demanding a halt to such provocations that took place amidst efforts to calm tensions in the holy city.
The memo urged Israel to carry out its obligations towards the holy sites under the international law and the Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty. Momani said the foreign and Awqaf (religious affairs) ministries were monitoring the situation at al-Aqsa Mosque, adding that Jordan would pursue its efforts through diplomacy and legal means to deter Israel and bring the breaches to a stop.
He urged the international community and the world’s organizations to help in this endeavor.

Archbishop Atallah Hanna slammed Tuesday the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) for publishing a guiding brochure of Occupied Jerusalem that hides Islamic and Christian holy sites.
Hanna said in a press statement the brochure includes a fake map that casts a shadow on the city’s Islamic and Christian holy sites.
The archbishop urged national institutions, Christian and Islamic, to both reveal and preserve the city’s original historical identity.
“Since the occupation of Jerusalem, Israel has been falsifying history and facts on the ground, a policy that has seen a striking surge over recent times,” Hanna warned.
He called on the tourists and pilgrims who visit the holy occupied city of Jerusalem to brush aside such erroneous brochures. “Israel has been pursuing a policy that aims to transform the anti-occupation conflict in Occupied Jerusalem into a religious one,” Hanna further noted.
“We, Jerusalemites, shall never ever surrender to such a newly-imposed fait accompli. The Israeli occupation is malevolently taking advantage of Arabs’ preoccupation with regional unrest in favor of its sacrilegious schemes in Occupied Jerusalem,” the Archbishop concluded.

Fanatic Jewish rabbi Yehudah Glick expressed his happiness to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque's courtyards on Monday without any problems.
"Again today on the temple mount, I was with a group of 13 Jews being surrounded quietly by dozens of Muslims," Glick said on his Facebook page.
"Apparently, the government's decision to outlaw the Islamic Movement and send away al-Murabetoun and Murabitat from the mount has given us more freedom," he added.
"The Muslims are seemingly starting to get used to such natural scenes," he said.
The Israeli police threatened yesterday to arrest and impose an entry ban on anyone who get near Glick and his companions during their presence at the Aqsa Mosque.
Glick is one of the most extreme right-wing Jewish figures who advocates the desecration of the Aqsa Mosque and the building of the temple mount in its place.
