Israeli soldiers, stationed on military towers across the border fence, opened fire on Tuesday evening, on Palestinian farmers and their lands, east of the al-Maghazi, in central Gaza.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers fired rounds of live ammunition on the farmers, forcing them to leave; the attack caused no injuries.
The attack is part of repeated violations against the Palestinians and their lands, especially in areas close to the border, in addition to ongoing violations against the fishers in Palestinian territorial waters, and even while on shore.
On Tuesday morning, soldiers opened fire towards Palestinian shepherds near the cemetery in Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, while Israeli gunboats targeted fishing boats in Khan Younis, on Monday at night, in Gaza's southern region.

Hamas reiterated the group’s firm rebuff of a series of provisos laid down by the Quartet envoy to the Middle East, Tony Blair, stipulating an adoption of the two-state solution as the ultimate way-out of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Political bureau member of Hamas Mousa Abu Marzouk said in a statement posted on his Facebook page: “Of course, Blair knows very well that biased deals can never see the day.”
“He has to bear in mind that the aspirations, dreams, identity, motherland, and faith can neither be misappropriated nor altered by a deal struck with a given person or political party,” he stated.
“Hamas shall never remain mum over attempts to take away the rights and aspirations of our Palestinian people,” he added.
According to Abu Marzouk, “Israelis should be the only addressees of Blair’s speech,” for “Do they accept the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders having Jerusalem as a capital? Do they accept to forfeit their settlements and misappropriated West Bank lands?”
Earlier, during a stopover in Gaza on Sunday, Blair pledged the adoption of a set of initiatives to promote socio-economic growth in the Strip and set the stage for a bilateral recognition of a two-state solution.
According to Abu Marzouk, today, once again, Blair is speaking on behalf of the international community, using the tragedy wrought on Gazans by Israel’s destructive war machine and displacement tactics as a means to enforce a series of conditions governing the entire process of reconstruction.
As regards the reconciliation file, Abu Marzouk said: “The Palestinian reconciliation has been accomplished. What is required more of Hamas? The group is abiding by all the bonds of the accord, without exception.”
As for Blair’s calls to clarify whether Hamas identifies with a broader Islamist movement with regional designs, Abu Marzouk confirmed: “Hamas is a Palestinian liberation movement that needs the support of other states and organizations.”
“Our resistance battlefield is Palestine only. We’ve never operated outside of Palestine . . . despite the countless assassinations targeting our leaders and officials over the past three decades,” he added.
Responding to Blair’s inquiries as to whether Hamas has a terror base in Sinai, Abu Marzouk clarified: “For us Egypt is not only a neighbor. Egypt’s security, stability, and territorial integrity have vital implications for Palestinians. Egyptians’ strength is ours’ too.”
“Gaza is never the right place to harm our Egyptian brothers and sisters. . . . Neither should Gaza turn into a breeding ground for terrorism,” Abu Marzouk stated.
“Unfortunately an ad hominem campaign is being launched against Hamas, holding the group accountable for the terror attacks and assaults on army officers. But these are mere falsehoods and propagandas. Yet we have not been granted the right to defend our case or to even get in touch with political parties so as to speak up our minds,” the statement further read.
“Despite all that, Hamas has adopted a policy of non-interference as regards Egypt’s international affairs. Preserving Egyptians’ security and integrity is part of the group’s unquestionable basics,” the statement proceeded.
According to Abu Marzouk, Hamas’s priorities at this very stage reside in healing the internal rift, propping up unity between all Palestinians and Arabs, and working on forcing Israel’s retreat from the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem so as to pave the way for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Palestinian intelligence agencies loyal to PA President Mahmoud Abbas advised the Israeli occupation on nearly 30 percent of the targets in Gaza that were attacked during last summer’s offensive on the besieged coastal enclave, senior Hamas leader Salah al-Bardawil said.
Speaking during an aired interview, al-Bardawil said Gaza’s security apparatuses found out, after having chased down a group of suspects, that “prominent” PA figures have been involved in security coordination with the Israeli occupation.
According to a set of documents and confessions released by those involved with the Intelligence apparatuses, Abbas’ agency assisted the Israeli occupation in creating some 29% of the target bank during the last war, 60% among which were directly hit.
The Israeli aggression led to the death of thousands of Palestinians in airstrikes over the summer, including hundreds of women and innocent children. Hundreds of civilian family homes had also been turned into mounds of rubble in the process.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) held Tuesday UNRWA responsible for the lives of Palestinian refugees who took shelter in its centers.
The responsibility is also shared by the PA and the unity government, the PFLP statement said.
The statement warned of a popular strong reaction that would have "no mercy on all".
Those people (living in UNRWA shelter) will continue to suffer and the coming days will witness the death of more victims unless the neglect is stopped, according to the statement.
The PFLP stressed the need to stop the political bickering between Fatah and Hamas and to accelerate the national reconciliation.
The PFLP statement called on UNRWA to bear its responsibilities towards Palestinian refugees, to furnish appropriate shelter for all displaced families, and take safety measures for their protection.
Earlier Tuesday, a Palestinian infant died in a fire caused by an electrical short at the UNRWA-run al-Shawa school which shelters a number of Gazan refugees in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza Strip. Four other family members were injured during the incident.

Palestinian medical sources have reported, on Tuesday evening, that three children were injured when an explosive object dropped by the army during the offensive on Gaza last summer, detonated near them in northern Gaza.
The sources said the children suffered very serious injuries, and were moved to the Kamal ‘Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The incident took place near the al-Huda mosque, in the Tuam area.
The children were playing when they apparently found the object that detonated near them causing serious injuries.
During the Israeli aggression on Gaza in the summer of 2014, the army dropped thousands of missiles and shells into different parts of the Gaza Strip, while many of those shells did not explode upon impact.
More than 2137 Palestinians, including 578 children, 264 women, and 103 elderly, have been killed during the Israeli aggression on Gaza, while more than 11100, including 3374 children, 2088 women and 410 elderly, have been injured as a result of Israel’s war on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Many died of their serious wounds later on.

Israeli forces opened fire, on Tuesday morning, towards Palestinian shepherds near the cemetery in Jabaliya, in the northern Gaza Strip, while Israeli gunboats targeted fishing boats in Khan Younis, last night, in Gaza's southern region.
According to Al Ray Palestinian Media Agency, security forces reported that a number of soldiers exited military jeeps and shot toward shepherds near the eastern cemetery; no injuries were reported.
Eyewitnesses additionally stated that Israeli naval gunboats fired heavily towards Palestinian fishing boats off Khan Younis shores, Monday night. No casualties were reported.
Israeli forces routinely attack Gaza fishermen and their boats in the context of Israel’s Egyptian-backed siege on the region, which includes restrictions on the fishing zone, depriving members of the community of their right to work, and in addition to putting their lives and well-being at serious risk.
The attacks include violations on citizens' right to livelihood, harassment and shootings, arbitrary arrests and detention involving abuse, and confiscation of property such as fishing boats and nets.
In 2013, Israeli forces carried out 147 documented attacks against fishermen, according to Al Ray, injuring 10, arresting 22, confiscating 9 boats, and destroying extensive amounts of fishing equipment.

Israeli soldiers, stationed across the border fence on the eastern border with Gaza city, fired on Tuesday morning rounds of live ammunition, and one shell, targeting a number of farmlands and homes.
The Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) said the soldiers, and armored vehicles, fired dozens of rounds of live ammunition, and a tank shell, hitting farmlands and homes, causing property damage but no injuries.
Earlier on Tuesday, the soldiers claimed a mortar shell, allegedly fired from Gaza, landed and exploded near the border fence, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli soldiers conduct daily violations and assaults against the Palestinians and their lands in different parts of the Gaza Strip, especially in areas close to the border fence in the northern and eastern parts of the coastal region.

The Palestinian minister of public works and housing said Tuesday that the ministry has laid a cornerstone for the reconstruction of a residential tower block in Gaza City.
Mufid al-Hasayneh said: "The rebuilding of this tower is a significant event and is the start of the rebuilding of all towers destroyed during the war"
"The ministry is continuing its efforts to distribute aid money to people whose houses were partially damaged, and hand out mobile homes and construction materials."
Several multistory residential buildings in Gaza City were targeted by Israeli forces during the war, killing dozens of civilians.
Israeli attacks on Gaza during the 50-day war on the Strip last summer killed over 2,200 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and some 100,000 people whose homes were destroyed or damaged remain displaced.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Monday slammed the statements released by the Quartet envoy to the Middle East, Tony Blair, during a short visit he paid to blockaded Gaza, branding them "schemes to step up pressure on Palestinians.”
The PFLP described Blair’s statements as pressure-cards to force Palestinians to abide by a set of political provisos.
Such pressures stipulate a willingness on the part of Palestinians to accept the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders as the ultimate solution and the only possible way to mobilize the world’s support for the reconstruction of Gaza and for national reconciliation.
The PFLP pushed for a firm rebuff of Blair’s statements, saying they only exploit and sharpen the agonies inflicted on Palestinians through the tough blockade policies and incessant Israeli aggressions.
Blair’s statements mislead Palestinians into believing that establishing a state is the one and only way out of the conflict, the statement added.
Such claims not only stand in sharp contrast with international legitimacy and resolutions but also turn reconstruction into a process that hinges on such a political condition, among others, the PFLP added.
“This is also a long way from the pledges released by the donor countries in Cairo,” the statement read.
Blair arrived in Gaza Sunday morning via the Beit Hanoun border crossing, to the north of Gaza. A delegation of Palestinian ministers briefed him on the latest developments and crises hitting the Strip.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened on Monday machinegun fire towards the Gazan farmers and shepherds in various areas in the Israeli-besieged Gaza Strip.
Palestinian security sources said the IOF fired machineguns at farmers to the east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza and toward shepherds to the east of al-Maghazi refugee camp in Central Gaza. No casualties have been reported.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the forces, stationed at the Israeli security fence area to the east of Khuzaah town, fired at agricultural lands in the town with no casualties reported.
The arbitrary shooting coincided with flying Israeli helicopters over the region down to the eastern outskirts of Rafah city, the sources added.
The shooting is added to many other similar actions breaching the truce agreement signed between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation under Egyptian supervision last August which put an end to the Israeli 51-day aggression on Gaza.

Mortars fried from within Gaza explode hundred of meters from Israeli border; fire could be Palestinian infighting, not attempted attack on Israel.
Two mortars fired from Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip fell a few hundred meters from the Israel-Gaza barrier Monday night, Palestinian sources in Gaza reported.
It is unlikely the mortars are an attempt by Gaza terror factions to target Israel, though such incidents have occurred since Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire agreement after fighting a 50 day war in the summer.
Hamas and other Gaza terror groups could have fired rockets since the ceasefire, but the majority were fired as part of military exercises or as a result of infighting.
Towards the end of January, several rockets were launched from northern Gaza towards the Mediterranean Sea, as part of Hamas' ongoing rocket trials.
Nonetheless, three rockets fired by Gaza groups have hit Israel since the ceasefire. The most recent was at the end of January and exploded in the Eshkol Regional Council, prompting Israel to shift its Iron Dome anti-missile batteries to the south and the IDF to hit a number of targets in Gaza. After the incident, Ynet learned that Hamas had begun to renew tunnel construction within Gaza and shifted its military strategy. According to Palestinian sources in the Strip who spoke to Ynet, after Israel allowed the flow of limited goods and materials into Gaza, a black market for mortar emerged - allowing Hamas to renew construction of concrete slabs used to line the inside of the tunnels.
Only last week it was cleared for publication that Israeli Navy forces trapped a boat shipment of a ton's worth of materials for rocket manufacturing, intended for Hamas in Gaza.

The Palestinian ministry of information strongly denounced Israel's channel 7 for fabricating claims about some of the journalists that had been killed by the Israeli army during the last war on the Gaza Strip, and described its report as "misleading."
Israel's channel 7 claimed in a recent report that eight of the journalists who were killed during Israel's last military operation in Gaza were working for Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
The information ministry said in a press release on Sunday that the channel's claims about the journalists was an exposed attempt by the Israeli government to shirk its responsibility for the crimes its army had committed against the journalists in Gaza.
The ministry underlined that all Israeli crimes against the journalists in the last war were documented in reports issued by international and local organizations, especially the International Federation of Journalists.
It said that Israel's attempt to deflect attention from its crimes by questioning the number of slain journalists and their professional activities could not deceive the UN probe committee or the international community.

“Ask your predecessors on the dread stirred up by al-Qassam Brigades in the hearts and minds of the Israeli soldiers,” senior Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahhar said addressing Israel’s new army chief Yoav Galant in Sunday.
“Gaza has always heroically confronted the Israeli occupation enemy,” a written statement by Zahhar read.
“The Israeli officials have to bear in mind that Gaza is making many leaps forward in terms of its resistance knack. No attempt at turning Palestinians into Israel’s quarry shall see the day,” he vowed.
Earlier, Israel’s newly-appointed army chief Major General Yoav Galant vowed that, under his command, another offensive will hit the blockaded Gaza Strip at the soonest time possible.
Commenting on Galant’s threats, the Hamas official said: “The UN Security Council has to take a tougher line against Israel’s war crimes and its refusal to meet an international fact-finding committee to investigate war crimes.”
“The UN has to be more judicious and objective as regards the Palestinian cause. Isn’t it enough that it has been propping up the Israeli occupation since the Palestinian Nakba (usurpation of Palestine) . . . . The UN has no longer become fair in backing the victims. It rather stands by the executioner,” he added.
Zahhar further stated that threats to invade Gaza were voiced and exploited by various Israeli officials as part of their propaganda campaigns before the upcoming general elections.
