Several Israeli vehicles raided lands in the central Gaza Strip on Tuesday, witnesses said.
Sources told Ma'an News Agency that four Israeli vehicles and two bulldozers raided and leveled Palestinian farming lands in eastern Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said that Tuesday's incursion was "routine activity along the security fence."
Israeli forces regularly enter land in the Gaza Strip falling within the "security buffer zone." The zone is enforced by Israel on both land and sea borders of the Gaza Strip on the pretext of security, however its exact limits have historically fluctuated and have had a detrimental impact on the Palestinian agricultural and fishing sectors.
Forces open fire on Palestinian farmers whose agricultural land allegedly falls within the zone, according to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights. The group reported 16 incidents of shooting and four incursions along the Gaza-Israel border in March alone.
Such occurrences of live fire deter farmers from accessing their farmland, worsening agricultural production in Gaza, where over 80 percent of the population is food insecure, according to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations.
Heavy presence of Israeli forces inside of the Gaza Strip's "buffer zone" are part of Israel's broader siege on the Gaza Strip in place for the last eight years, which largely prohibits both imports and exports and has led to a severe collapse in the tiny coastal enclave's economy. The siege is worsened by regular closure by Egyptian authorities of the Rafah border crossing in the southern Gaza Strip.

Israeli military forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen and farmers in the Gaza Strip on Monday, locals said.
Witnesses told Ma'an that naval forces opened fire at fishermen in the northern Gaza Strip near al-Sudaniyya, while soldiers stationed at the border fired at farmers east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
No injuries were reported.
Israeli authorities maintained a fishing limit of three nautical miles on all fishermen in the Gaza Strip until August, when Hamas negotiated a six-mile limit as part of the ceasefire that concluded Israel's two-month summer assault that left 2,200 dead.
But Israeli authorities have frequently shot at Palestinian fishermen inside the limit, and three have been killed since then.

The UN does not have any evidence that rebuilding material bound for Gaza is being used for anything other than civilian purposes, James Rowley, the Deputy UN Envoy to the Middle East, said on Sunday morning.
In an interview with the Israeli Richt Beit Radio, the UN official said even in the ensuing black markets, material entering the blockaded coastal Strip was used to help rebuild houses destroyed during last summer’s military aggression on Gaza.
He denied claims that talks have been underway between Hamas and the UN to conclude a long-term truce accord in Gaza.
Rowley called for speeding up the reconstruction process, adding that steps have to be taken to lift the blockade on Gaza.
Over 16,000 homes were turned into rubble and some 100,000 homes sustained partial damage in last summer’s Israeli offensive on the besieged coastal enclave.

Shnara Abdul Jawad Hamid 78
The 78-year-old Palestinian citizen Shnara Abdul Jawad Hamid was killed after a wall of their home, already damaged by Israel’s latest offensive, collapsed on her, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced on Saturday afternoon.
Journalist Fayez al-Sheikh, one of the casualty’s relatives, said in an exclusive statement to the PIC on Saturday evening that his father’s aunt was crushed to death while she was taking a nap in her own home.
The deceased was living in a home of her own that sustained remarkable damage in last summer’s Israeli military aggression on the blockaded Gaza Strip.

Israeli Navy ships opened fire, on Saturday morning, on a number of Palestinian fishing boats in Gaza territorial waters, causing damage but no injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the navy fired dozens of rounds of live ammunition on the boats and near them, causing excessive damage to a number of boats.
They added that the boats were close to the shore, within the six nautical miles allotted for the Palestinians to use.
There have been dozens of similar Israeli attacks, and violations, against the fishers in Gaza waters, and even while on shore, an issue that caused several casualties, including fatalities, and dozens of arrests, in addition to property damage.
On Saturday, March 7, a fisher died in the Shifa Medical Center, in Gaza, of serious wounds suffered a few hours earlier.

Three Palestinian citizens sustained wounds afternoon Friday after they were shot by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) east of Gaza’s Khan Younis city.
The citizens Mohamed Abu Amer, Khalil al-Kilani, and Alaa Abu Amer sustained injuries in their lower limbs after they were shot by the IOF in southern Gaza, local medics told a PIC correspondent.
The three casualties were rushed to the hospital to be treated for the reportedly moderate wounds.
Other Palestinians were injured by IOF gunfire as they gathered on Friday in their agricultural lands near the border fence.
The IOF troops have launched incursions and unleashed barrages of gunfire on the outskirts of eastern Gaza, in a renewed violation of the Cairo-brokered ceasefire deal struck in August.

Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Gaza City Wednesday morning.
Fishermen told Ma'an that Israeli forces had fired at several fishing boats working in the area, and that no injuries were reported.
Witnesses added that Israeli F16 warplanes were flying at low altitude at the time.
An Israeli army spokeswoman did not have immediate information and told Ma'an she would look into the incident.
Wednesday's incident comes just one week after Israeli forces shot and injured Palestinian fisherman Khalid Zayid with a rubber-coated steel bullet while he was working off the coast of Beit Lahiya.
Palestinian fishermen continue to be targeted by Israeli forces, facing near daily harassment and interference with their work. As part of last summer's ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militant groups, Israel agreed to expand the fishing zone off Gaza's coast, allowing fishermen to sail as far as six nautical miles from shore, and to continue to expand the area gradually.
Despite this agreement, 29 attacks by Israeli forces on Palestinian fisherman were reported between Sept. 1 2014 and March 15 2015, by Gaza-based watchdog al-Mezan Center for Human Rights, however due to the normalcy of such incidents, attacks often go unreported.
The center also said that 49 fisherman had been detained, 17 injured, and 12 fishing boats confiscated in the same period.
On 7 March, Tawfiq Said Abu Rayala, 32, was killed while fishing on his vessel within the permitted boundaries of the buffer zone line, which according to Israel is currently six nautical miles. Despite this, Israeli naval forces shot at and killed Tawfiq with live ammunition.
Two fishermen were killed in the months leading up to Abu Rayala's death, marking the fatal risks Palestinians face on a daily basis to make a living off Gaza coast, which has been under naval blockade by Israeli forces since 2007.

A number of Israeli military vehicles carried out, on Wednesday morning, a limited invasion into areas east of Rafah and Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Media sources in Gaza said several armored vehicles, and four military bulldozers, invaded the an-Nahda neighborhood, east of Rafah, and moved towards the northern part of the district before bulldozing lands in the Sharab al-‘Asal area, east of the al-Fakhary area, east of Khan Younis.
The soldiers also opened fire on Palestinian agricultural lands near Abu Reeda area, southeast of Khuza’a area, east of Khan Younis; no injuries were reported, but the farmers had to leave their lands seeking shelter, and fearing additional Israeli violations, and escalation.
It is worth mentioning that Israeli fighter jets also flew over different areas of the coastal region, repeatedly breaking the sound barrier, and causing panic among the residents, especially the children.

Several aids organizations including international ones have urged sanctions on Israel due to its continued siege on Gaza and its refusal to allow rebuilding process to kick off.
The report “Charting a New Course: Overcoming the stalemate in Gaza” says Israel must lift the blockade and allow free movement between the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip or face punitive measures.
The 46 organizations that signed the report, including Oxfam, Save the Children, KinderUSA, Medical Aid for Palestinians, CARE International, Norwegian People’s Aid and Médecins du Monde Switzerland, CCP Japan, Christian Aid, Church of Sweden, call for a suspension of arms transfers to Israel.
Gaza is worse off now
The report’s gist is that Gaza is a lot worse now than it was during the war with the slow death Israel and Egypt are imposing on Gaza.
The report mentions that “As of January 2015, only 36 schools with minor damage have been repaired out of a total of over 258 damaged and eight destroyed in the attacks.”
And more than 100,000 people, whose homes Israel destroyed, remain displaced and without proper shelters. At least a dozen children passed away due to the lack of permanent shelter in previous cold spills.
Israel’s unexploded munitions, the report states, claimed the lives of at least 10 and injured more than 35, most of whom children.
400 Israeli violations of ceasefire
The report also states Israel has violated the ceasefire “more than 400” times, hindering farmers and fishermen and murdering a fisherman and injuring several other fishermen and farmers.
According to the report, there must be practical measures against Israeli illegal policies. That includes making EU and other international relations with Israel conditional on it meeting its legal obligations and ensuring that companies that violate international law in the occupied West Bank and Gaza do not financially benefit from the reconstruction of Gaza.

‘Oleywa Nidal ‘Oleywa, 22
Palestinian medical sources have reported, Tuesday, that a fighter of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, died of serious complications resulting from his injury by an Israeli missile during the Israeli onslaught on Gaza eight months ago.
Dr. Ashraf Al-Qedra, spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said ‘Oleywa Nidal ‘Oleywa, 22 years of age, suffered various wounds, including a serious head injury, and remained in a critical condition since then.
Al-Qedra added that the body of the slain Palestinian was sent to the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
Thousands of Palestinians attended the funeral ceremony and procession starting in a local mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that around 2140 Palestinians, including 577 children, were killed in the Israeli onslaught; dozens of Palestinians died of their serious injuries in the months the followed the Israeli onslaught.
Over 11,100 Palestinians, including 3,374 children, 2,088 women and 410 elderly people were injured.
According to the United Nations, around 400000 children from Gaza require essential psychological care due to Israel’s latest war on Gaza, in addition to its repeated and extensive aggressions since 2006.

A five-story-building collapsed in central Gaza Strip on Tuesday as it was bombed by Israeli Occupation Forces in last summer’s aggression on the enclave. It resulted in big damage in the area with no casualties reported.
Palestinian security sources told the PIC reporter that the building which belonged to martyr Abdulaziz Abu Zeaiter started to fall down gradually in Deir al-Balah town in central Gaza.
Eyewitnesses said the eastern part of the structure gradually crashed amid very loud sound whereas the western part is still solid.
Policemen and the civil defense rushed to the scene to evacuate residents amid concerns that the western part may fall down at any moment.

Six months after donors pledged billions of dollars for devastated Gaza, most of the money remains blocked, and reconstruction efforts are painfully slow, a coalition of aid groups said Monday.
The report also condemned the international community for failing to help open the blockaded Palestinian territories up to each other, to broker a lasting ceasefire with Israel and to hold the two sides accountable.
"If we do not change course now to address these core issues the situation in Gaza will only continue to worsen," Association of International Development Agencies (AIDA) said.
"Without economic, social and political stability, a return to conflict -- and the cycles of damage and donor-funded reconstruction that accompany it -- is inevitable," the coalition added.
The report comes six months after participants in the Cairo donor conference pledged about $5.4 billion in aid for Gaza, flattened by a 50-day war that killed 2,200 Palestinians and 73 Israelis.
"Six months later, reconstruction and rehabilitation have barely kicked off," said the report, written by major charities including CARE International, Oxfam, Save the Children and the Norwegian Refugee Council.
"Donors should make good on the pledges made at the Cairo conference and move forward with reconstruction and recovery projects for Gaza," it said, adding that funding should immediately be made available to allow housing repairs.
According to the report, the war completely destroyed 12,400 houses and damaged over 160,000 homes.
Yet "there has been no accountability to address violations of international law, only 26.8 percent of the money has been released, reconstruction and recovery have barely begun, and people in Gaza remain in dire straits", AIDA said.
The war displaced more than a quarter of Gaza's population of 1.7 million and left 100,000 people homeless.
The report meanwhile urged Israel to allow Palestinians to freely move back and forth between the West Bank and Gaza, "in line with their obligations as an occupying power".
"The international community, in particular the Quartet of the US, the EU, Russia and the UN, should propose a time-bound plan to support an end to the blockade," AIDA added.
The aid groups also said the two sides in the fighting must be held legally accountable.
"The international community must demand an end to violations of international law, and push for greater accountability of all parties, including guarantees of non-repetition," the report said.

Israeli warplanes launched mock air raids over Gaza Strip on Monday morning.
Eyewitnesses in Gaza said squadrons of Israeli F16 planes flew over the blockaded Gaza Strip and launched sudden and intense mock raids in the morning hours.
Loud explosions were heard across the Strip, breaking the sound barrier and making sonic booms. A state of concern prevailed among Gazan people who feared of incoming real raids.
On July 7, 2014, the Gaza Strip was exposed to a large-scale Israeli military aggression that lasted for 51 days and killed over 2,311 Palestinians, mostly civilians. Thousands others were injured while thousands of houses were completely or partially destroyed.

That comes after reports that indicated Israel uses Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories as a testing ground for its weapons.
In August 13, 2014, an Italian journalist, three Palestinian bomb disposal experts, and two other civilians were killed as the team members were attempting to defuse a 500 kilogram Israeli missile.
The Israeli siege prevents the Gaza Bomb Squad from owning proper protective gear and/or robotic equipment to do this critical but dangerous work.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened heavy machinegun fire at the eastern outskirts of Rafah and Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip on Saturday.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF soldiers stationed at the borderlines of the security fence fired machineguns at Palestinian farms as well as farmers east of Rafah with no casualties reported.
The sources revealed that a state of panic prevailed amongst the farmers which made some of them leave their lands.
The IOF soldiers have escalated their aggressive attacks in eastern Gaza Strip. A human rights report has monitored four IOF incursions and sixteen shootings leading to five injuries and four arrests among Palestinians in Gaza only in March.
The IOF soldiers routinely unleash indiscriminate bombing and limited incursions targeting the eastern outskirts of the blockaded enclave, breaching the ceasefire agreement signed in August, 2014 that halted last summer’s Israeli aggression on Gaza.
