Violent clashes broke out on Saturday afternoon east of al-Bureij refugee camp in Gaza between Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers following the funeral of the child Abed Mohamed ad-Dabagh, who had been killed the day before.
According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter in Gaza, angry young men hurled stones at Israeli military posts behind the security fence, which provoked soldiers into responding by firing live bullets and tear gas grenades.
Hundreds of citizens marched in the funeral procession of 16-year-old Dabagh, who was shot dead by an Israeli sniper during his participation in a peaceful rally staged yesterday in a border area east of al-Bureij camp.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday morning opened fire at Palestinian fishermen and farmers in Gaza Strip.
According to Quds Press, Israeli war boats opened their machinegun fire at a number of Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza.
The fishermen were forced to return ashore. Luckily, no one was injured in the assault.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers intensified their presence along the Gaza borders.
Under an inhumane siege, the Israeli army keeps attacking, injuring and killing civilians, farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis, without any shred of respect for the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire deal in Gaza or even the international law.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) estimated that the Israeli 51-day aggression on Gaza had left 25% of Palestinian children in need of direct psycho-social support, based on the number of children affected by grave violations such as injury, killing or injury of a relative or other people.
The 51-day conflict in the Gaza Strip in the summer of 2014 had a devastating impact on children, the report said.
Two years on, the consequences of the conflict are still being felt and continue to take a heavy toll on children and their well-being, including their mental health.
To date, it is estimated that one in four children in Gaza still require psycho-social support (225,000 children) and 33,000 others need specific case management.
The most common changes included bed-wetting, unusual crying/screaming and displays of aggressive behavior, particularly in boys.
OCHA called for strengthening child protection systems for the benefit of the most vulnerable children and families in Gaza.
In July 2014, Israel waged a bloody aggression on besieged Gaza Strip. At least 551 Palestinian children were killed and 2,956 Palestinian children were injured.

Israeli navy ships opened fired, on Thursday, at a number of Palestinian fishing boats close to the shore in the besieged Gaza Strip, kidnapped five fishers and confiscated their boat.
Zakariyya Bakr, the head of the Fishers Committees at the Union of Agricultural Committees, said the navy ships fired many live rounds towards the boats, west of Wadi Gaza area, less than 4 nautical miles from the shore, and kidnapped five fishers.
Bakr added that the kidnapped fishers have been identified as Mohammad Abdul-Mo’ty al-Habeel, Abdul-Mo’ty Ibrahim al-Habeel, Fayez Abu Fool and Ali Ayman al-Habeel, and Ahmad Mohammad al-‘Arayshy.
The attack is part of frequent violations against the fishers in Gaza waters, in addition to attacks targeting workers and farmers in Palestinian lands across the border fence.

FoxNews.com reported that the Israeli military has equipped Ford F-350 pickup trucks with remote driving technology and plans to disperse them along the border of the besieged Gaza Strip.
The trucks, called Border Protector Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), are each equipped with a 360-degree surveillance camera as well as four cameras that supplant a driver’s eyes on the road.
G-NIUS – a joint venture between Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Elbit Systems that enjoys funding by the Israeli defense ministry – developed the “Border Protector” specifically for Gaza. Testing began in July 2015 and ended in February 2016.
The Israeli military plans to deploy the new UGVs semi-autonomously in the next few months. It will release them along Gaza’s border with complete autonomy soon thereafter.
An official in the Israeli military explained to FoxNews.com, “we think at the beginning of next year we will get a machine gun on the vehicle that will be operated from a control room.” “The machine gun will not be autonomous,” the official clarified.

The Israeli military has used the Guardium unmanned ground vehicle along Gaza’s besieged border since at least 2009. Photo by the Israeli military, September 2012.
The Israeli military has been using driverless vehicles to blockade the coastal enclave for years; its last model, the Guardium UGV has patrolled Gaza’s border since at least 2009.
However, Israeli soldiers remotely controlled “the Gardium.” The new UGV, on the other hand, has the capacity to embark on a mission completely on its own after receiving directions from an Israeli soldier.
The State of Israel established a so-called buffer zone [PDF] around Gaza after it withdrew from the area in 2005.
According to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, as a consequence of the buffer zone, 35% of Gaza’s agricultural land can only be accessed under high risk of death or injury.
Though Gaza’s border continues to undergo increasing militarization, IAI and Elbit Systems have decided to dissolve G-NIUS, citing a lack of international buyers. In announcing the break up, both parties, however, maintained their commitment to developing autonomous military technology.

The Palestinian MP Jamal al-Khudari called Wednesday on Egypt and Norway, as the sponsor of the donors' conference, to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authority to allow construction materials’ access to Gaza.
In a press conference held in Gaza City, al-Khudari said that Gaza Strip is still suffering from the effects of the Israeli war that ended two years ago.
65,000 persons are still homeless using uninhabitable mobile homes or living in rented houses, he pointed out.
According to his statement, the IOA continued restrictions on construction materials’ entry into the Strip would make its reconstruction an impossible mission.
Only 3,000 houses out of 12,000 totally destroyed houses were rebuilt since Israel’s 2014 aggression, while 950 totally destroyed factories are still in need of reconstruction, he continued.
On the other hand, al-Khudari considered Israel’s approval to boost energy and water supplies to Gaza including by building a gas pipeline in coordination with Holland as propaganda messages.
He renewed calls for ending the Gaza siege and for opening all border crossings without any prior conditions.

A number of Israeli army bulldozers moved on early Wednesday morning into Palestinian lands in eastern al-Qarara town, to the south of the blockaded Gaza Strip.
Reporting from Gaza, a PIC news correspondent said four Israeli army bulldozers of the D9 brand and a battering ram deployed at the Kissufim military site rolled into Palestinian lands in the eastern corners of al-Qarara town.
Similar incursions into the blockaded Gaza Strip have often been carried out by the Israeli occupation army under the pretext of chasing resistance tunnels.

Defense Minister says that he is not ruling out issuing Israeli work permits to Gaza residents after nearly a decade since they were all cancelled following Hamas' rise to power; 'Israel wants to reduce humanitarian pressure but not risk security.'
Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Tuesday that if quiet is maintained on the Gaza border, “I will not oppose renewing the practice of issuing permits to workers to enter Israel from the Strip.”
Lieberman’s comments came during a conversation with local council leaders around the Gaza region who support the opening of the Erez Crossing for commerce in order to reduce truck traffic on Route 232 to Kerem Shalom. They also support the issuing of entry permits to workers from Gaza who would be able to assist in industrial areas in their field.
Since Hamas rose to power in 2007, all work permits in Israel were immediately cancelled for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. “Israel is interested in reducing, as much as possible, the humanitarian pressure cooker in the Strip, but not at the price of security risks,” Lieberman added.
This is not the first time Lieberman has signalled that peaceful conduct would yield positive results. In August, he revealed his ‘carrot and stick’ plan vis-à-vis the Palestinian population before a group of journalists at the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv in an attempt to quell the wave of terror that had recently plagued Israel. According to his strategy, Palestinian villages which did not produce terrorists would be rewarded in various ways.
During Lieberman’s talks with the council leaders, they raised a series of security-related subjects, among them the advancement of the project for countering terror tunnels into Israel.
Shortly after, Lieberman’s comments on Tuesday, Prime Minister Netanyahu, visiting Holland, spoke about the development in Gaza and said that the Dutch government would help Israel to improve the supply of water and electricity to the residents of Gaza. Netanyahu added that he had decided to “improve the supply of energy and water, and to lay a gas pipeline.”

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday fired five artillery shells at the blockaded Gaza Strip.
According to a PIC news correspondent, the IOF targeted two civilian homes, two resistance sites, and an agricultural land in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza Strip, with five artillery shells. The attack resulted in remarkable material damage in the area.
The Israeli occupation army claimed the strikes were launched after a Palestinian sniper fired gunshots at an Israeli military site in the third such incident during the week.
The attack is another chain in the series of Israeli violations of the ceasefire deal struck in the wake of the 2014 Israeli offensive on the besieged coastal territory of Gaza.

Several Israeli tanks fired, on Sunday at dawn, a number of artillery shells into Palestinian farmlands in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Media sources in Gaza said the shells caused damage, while many children in several nearby homes suffered anxiety attacks.
They added that Israeli drones were also heavily flying over different parts of the Gaza Strip, especially close to border areas.
The Israeli army said it “struck a Hamas site,” reportedly after military vehicles came under fire while patrolling the border area, in northern Gaza.
